Botragelad: All you lot accusing Israel of being land grabbers need to read. If Israel really wanted to get all up in Lebanon's grill, they could've taken Hezbollah's stronghold in southern Lebanon, but they didn't. They just sent in the ground forces for a bit to decimate hezbollah, then stepped out like they promised.
Now, here's the part hat should make Israel's enemies proper scared. Israel's got the intel on all Syria's ports, ammo dumps, and naval fleets, but they've been keeping it classy, restraining the IAF from taking over and striking for years, all in the name of diplomacy. But now, with all these Islamic terrorist and rebel extremists running around, Israel's had to take out Syria's air and naval assets, just to keep everyone in check.
It's a right deterrent. Israel's showing it won't hesitate to strike if someone's getting a bit too big for their boots.
Am yisreal chai 🇮🇱! The deterrent was Russia. Russia provided air cover for Assad army. |

A supposedly world power, watched and did nothing as its ally was overwhelmed by rebels. Now they have lost their only military presence in the middle-east.
Can't imagine this happening to Israel. The same can be said about Iran. Hamas, Hizbollah and now Assad have all been defeated, leaving Iran isolated and weak. There is no doubt that the Assad defeat was orchestrated by the West, Turkey and Israel, taking advantage of the defeat of Hizbollah in Lebanon. The problem is who will replace Assad in Syria, going by the record in Sudan and Libya. Syria problem has just started. |

Are you calling the Minister a Liar? Please return to this post and apologise to me. I deal with fact and not Nigerian gossip. Kaduna Refining And Petrochemical Company (KRPC) Address Of Enterprise KM 16 Kachia Road P.M.B 2252 Kaduna
COMPANY PROFILE The refinery was commissioned in 1980 to supply petroleum products to Northern Nigeria with a capacity of 50,000 B/D. In 1983, the capacity was expanded to 100,000 B/D by adding a second 50,000 B/D crude train dedicated to the production of lubricating oils (lubes). In 1986, the capacity of the first crude train was expanded to 60,000 B/D. The expansions have increased the current nameplate capacity of the refinery to 110,000 B/D.
Main Plants Crude Distillation Unit CDU – 1 (Fuels) CDU – 1 feeds the fuels train of the refinery. It was designed to process 50,000 B/D of Nigerian crude (a 50/50 blend of Escravos and Forcados) and later revamped to 60, 000 by adding a pre-flash column and a second heater. The unit is designed to late 1970s standards, which make it an energy efficient design.
Crude Distillation Unit CDU – 2 (Lubes) CDU – 2 feeds the lube. CDU –2 is currently not functioning because the utilities performance is not up to par and cannot support the running of the unit.
Petrochemicals Unit This unit consists of a production complex with a target of 91 tonnes per day of Linear Alkly Benzene (LAB), which is the major feedstock for the production of detergents. It was commissioned in 1988 and uses UOP process technologies.

I hope Davido also has one or two things to say about the UK. The UK doesn't tolerate fake pastors as in Nigeria. The sooner Nigeria closes down all those useless churches, the better. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, a senator from Kogi State, faulted paying N1.5 billion annually to the staff of a company that was in a concession agreement with the government.
“The Indian firm could not perform; they denied Nigerians access to the iron ore company for three years,” Akpoti-Uduaghan said.
“Instead of them being penalised for depriving Nigeria of its social and economic growth, we compensated them further by paying them $469 million.

franchasofficia: No, it wont work now. It will take us backward now. That time Awolowo implemented it in Western Nigeria was the best time for it not now, and that was why it worked back then. If you replicate it now it will fail. Tinubu have been trying to replicate it ignorantly and it's been failing.
Europe started practicing welfarism government after creating and amassing wealth. They then used welfarism system to ensure wealth distribution.
Golf countries started practicing Welfarism system after the discovery of large crude oil deposits in their lands with small populations. So they used that Welfarism system to ensure equitable distribution of wealth among their small population. Such system won't work in Nigeria that is a poor nation with huge population growth.
What we need is a system of government that will harness our population to create wealth, invent ideas and things we can export to earn FOREX like China, etc.
Welfarism system of government is for rich countries looking for ways to distribute wealth among their population, not for a poor country like Nigeria struggling to generate enough income albeit leadership corruption and looting. You are getting it mixed up. European welfare started in the late 1800s when people were still poor and fighting each other. I am not suggesting that we have a program of employment benefits and health insurance. However, the country must have limited welfare programs, basic primary school programmes, and primary healthcare. Jakande free education programme, low-cost housing scheme and affordable health care programme was in the 1980s, years after Awolowo universal education program in the 1950s Germany In 1883, Chancellor Otto von Bismarck introduced the Health Insurance Act, which was the first to require mandatory government-monitored health insurance. This legislation also included contributory retirement and disability benefits Great Britain In 1911, the Liberal government of Henry Campbell-Bannerman and David Lloyd George introduced the National Insurance system, which included the first insurance-based sickness and unemployment benefit |

franchasofficia: Awolowo style of welfarism leadership worked back then because we were in the formative era, it would fail woefully today. It is what Tinubu has been trying to replicate today not knowing that such era of welfarism is over. That is why every little thing Tinubu starts sharing rice and other forms of palliatives.
The world has gone past palliative system or welfarism system of government.
What we need is a capitalist style of government that will inspire wealth creation, business startups and massive healthy competition. It is after we have built and amassed wealth that we can revert back to welfarism government to distribute the wealth.
Right now, we need a government that will pioneer and inspire more businesses, investments and startups. We don't even need to copy Oyimbo in taxing ourselves to poverty like Tinubu is known for, we need to do everything possible to attract massive investment and inspire new business startups and one way to do them is to relax company and small business tax, reduced interest rate for business startup loans, improved power/electricity, improved national security to give investors confidence to come in and improved FOREX.
Yorubas are not good in all these, they are better in media propaganda and entertainment Europe and the Gulf states (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE) still practice "welfarism", which is why they have a high literacy rate and healthy children with nourished brains that lead to high IQs. Nigeria should return to Awolowo's play book and take loans to fund primary health care and universal primary and secondary education. |
