lexy2014:He was Buhari VP now that is some failure |
In the age of AI, Quantum computing, and EV, Fulani herders are still herd cattle all over Africa. Tinubu and NASS must complete the bill for state police so that states and regions can protect themselves from this backwardness. |
The begging on the Nairaland is getting out of hand. We are not your government; if you need help, get your family members to protest when there are protest movements, to vote and fight for their vote to be counted. Stop begging me because even if I have the funds, I will not give it to you. |
DeLaRue:8 years of Buhari, two recessions. $41 billion external debt, NNPC stopped remitting funds to CBN, Oil export fell to under 1 million B/D and ways and means hit N33 million. Nigeria's exchange rate hit $1 to 800 Tinubu gave Nigeria Buhari hence he can't complain |
forgiveness:It means when you don't have light(Electricity),, blame your governor, not the president. Next, the police will be state control, so next time there is insecurity, blame your elected governor. A federal republic should behave like a federal republic. |
Tinubu should scrap NNPC and reform and reduce his government and recurring expenditures. Nigeria wasted 8 years under Buhari leaving the country with unsustainable debt. Tinubu's economic reforms in removing fuel subsidies, floating the Naira, Local government empowerment, and Tax reform are a step in the right direction, but the economic reforms will fail with infrastructure development (Electricity) , political reform and a cut in recurring expenditure. Reasons given by the companies include high energy costs, currency depreciation, insecurity, policy inconsistency and falling purchasing power. It may not be surprising that foreign investors are showing apathy. Nigeria’s business environment is often characterised by uncertainty, corruption and regulatory challenges, deterring foreign investors, according to experts. |
Guy's cyber hacking is real. This is the activity on my Outlook account. Hackers around the world are working overtime. fortunately I have MFA, password protection and many security layers to protect my data.

khalling2008:Don't run to Lagos when the Islamists start chasing around town. We had enough of the Hausa and Fulani beggars |
greatiyk4u:You have two cars, why sell them when you can use them in the transport business. You want Tinubu to continue paying $10-20 billion annually to support fuel subsidies Nigeria's NNPC spent $10 billion on fuel subsidy in 2022 https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/nigerias-nnpc-spent-10-billion-fuel-subsidy-2022-2023-01-20/ |

Nigerians just like begging with no shame; if he had that many cars, why not go into the transport business? |
KolaAdeniran:Ever since El-Rufai left the governorship in Kaduna state, the killings have reduced. El Rufai is a murderer and monster, although he is right to bring up the subject of federal funds being invested in Lagos state. |
josmart:He should stay in Nigeria and build his farm. He can easily find investors abroad if he is honest and disciplined. |
cletz991:IITA in Ibadan |
Ojey1234:Cocoa is more expensive than gold. Cocoa and Palm Oil is the new gold. if you have land and are involved in farming, contact me. I am interested in investing. |
Take the Caribbean, for example. The Dominican Republic made $10 billion last year from tourism alone—no oil, no natural gas, just sun, sand, and hospitality. Tourism contributed over 12% of their GDP, showing that a country can literally live off its ability to host, entertain, and delight visitors. The Dominican Republic is the sex capital of the Caribbean; everything is for sale, including sex with children. Nigeria needs to be careful about how they manage the tourist industry. $10 billion is not worth the destruction of the social fabric of a country. Industrialisation is the best way forward |
Nazgul:I think she worked as a Locum (Self-employed contractor) before she became unemployed. The tax in the UK is killing me, I spend the Xmas holiday doing my tax and VAT |
adioolayi:The decision to stop fuel subsidies was the beginning of wisdom. Oil subsidy should have ended in 2012, instead Buhari continued with the criminal enterprise adding $100 billion in debt to the country |
nedekid:Dummy. The FGN should not be running airlines, refineries, steel plants, etc. Their job should be setting standards and regulations to protect consumer interests. The telecom industry took off in 2003 because NITEL was taking off the game, and the industry was deregulated, just as it is happening in the refinery industry today. |
Sheuns:Jonathan didn't remove fuel subsidies in 2012. GEJ opened a national debate to discuss the pros and cons of removing oil subsidies and then tried to remove the subsidies. Still, Buhari, Tinubu, EL Rufai and other APC members led a successful national protest, forcing GEJ to backtrack. GEJ was weak; he lacked conviction and leadership skills, and he backed his advisers (Iwealla and Co). Nigeria would not be in this mess today. Buhari continued with the subsidies, wasting $20 billion a year and leaving the country with $47 billion in external debt, N33 Trillion Ways and Means and mortgaging 1 million barrels of oil a day for 10 years. If you don't like Tinubu policy go and protest. The confession by a former governor of Ekiti State, Dr, Kayode Fayemi, that the protest launched against the fuel subsidy removal during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2012 was mere politics has revealed how dirty and selfish politics is played in Nigeria. |
Sheuns:Reforms are painful. Should the country continue subsidizing the currency and fuel imports for $40 billion? If a state governor requires federal allocation and national tax returns to pay salaries and fix roads in his state, then he has no business being a governor. When do we stop subsidising poverty? “It is not a good policy for northern Nigeria because we are not going to get money to pay you salaries, to do roads. They must listen, otherwise, they are calling for anarchy. And that is not good. |

LabStores:That waste of time and resources space technology gave the ignorant black man Space technology has led to many innovations that have changed the world, including: Consumer products Many products we use today, such as cordless vacuums, LED lighting, and memory foam, have their origins in space technology research. Laptop computers The Shuttle Portable Onboard Computer (SPOC), developed in the 1980s for the space shuttle program, is a direct ancestor of modern laptop computers. Scratch-resistant lenses NASA developed a process to create scratch-resistant lenses for astronauts' helmet visors, which was later adopted by the optical industry to make eyeglasses more scratch-resistant. Ear thermometers NASA's use of infrared technology to measure the temperature of stars led to the invention of an infrared sensor for aural thermometers. Cochlear implants A NASA engineer developed digital implantable hearing aids based on his work on the Space Shuttle program. Space telescopes Space telescopes have helped us determine the age of the universe, discover planets, and more. Satellite technology Miniaturized satellites, called CubeSats, make it more economical to gather data and conduct scientific research. Commercial spaceflight Companies like SpaceX and Blue Origin have made space more accessible and affordable. Asteroid mining Asteroid mining and lunar regolith utilization could revolutionize the energy industry. |
Softmirror:FRELIMO established a one-party state based on socialist principles, with Samora Machel re-elected as President of FRELIMO and subsequently the First President of the People's Republic of Mozambique. Singapore was a democratic government from the onset. |
Softmirror:Lee Kuan Yew's economic growth Lee Kuan Yew, who has died aged 91, presided over a turnaround in the economic fortunes of his nation, taking it from a colonial backwater to its status as one of the richest places on the planet — a journey ‘from third world to first’, as Lee titled his memoir. Mozambique is still one of the poorest in the world under Fremilo

Chinese are behind this madness |
ibechris:Nigeria must industralise agriculture |
arkad139:That is what they said in 1999 when it was introduced in the North. |
TheNiceGuy:That is how it starts: today, it is Sharia court, tomorrow it is Sharia law, and finally, the Islamic government. Look at Northern Nigeria today, a region blessed with ignorance, backwardness and poverty |
brain54:You wan close his government |
ACRI:The first job of a sane president would be the scrapping of NNPC, just as NITEL became a source of corruption in OBJ-Atiku government The sordid story of how NITEL was torn apart in multiple fraudulent deals, across 14 years |
