Check the few performing ministers and others non of them is from the region I mentioned Tinubu is the petroleum minister, and I am sure he is doing a sterling job. You default to quickly attacking people's ethnicity, forgetting that the president selected 48 ministers, including himself. $3.5 billion has been invested in the three non-working refineries, and now they claim that the pipeline is old. They can cut the cost of government-remove fuel subsidies and use those funds to fix the pipeline. |

DeLaRue: I listened to Chief Bode's George's interview from beginning to end, there was not a single tribe-related view there.
He said after Buhari's 8 years, PDP should have followed their party constitution by zoning their presidential candidacy to the South.
He also said allowing another Northerner to lead Nigeria immediately after Mr Buhari would have created a lot of problems in the country. On this basis, he said he didn't think Mr Atiku as president would have been good for the country.
What's tribalistic here.
The man was just expressing his personal political opinion.
Chief George has also criticised the current President many times. I don't recall Mr Atiku criticising Mr Buhari at any time during the latter's 8 years. They always find tribalism in Yoruba's because their agenda is to attack Yoruba's whether they support or against Tinubu. Had Atiku followed the rule and backed the leading candidate from the South, Peter Obi, the PDP would be in government today. The real issue is not tribalism but Northern selfishness. |

But they are not Nigerians and have no right to work in Nigeria. spiSeyi: More wisdom bro APC corruption won't let this be just imagine PMB & PBAT presiding as the Petroleum Minister instead of giving the office to a competent oil business mogul or economist Why we have an NNPC in the first place? Where is the NITEL mobile agency called MNET? NNPC should be like NCC, a regulatory body. It should not immediately be involved in any regulatory activities. The president will not seek a second ministerial portfolio as a petroleum minister because there will be no funds to steal. Corruption in Nigeria starts in Aso Rock. OBJ deregulated NITEL and telecommunication, but he needs to explain why he didn't deregulate NEPA and NNPC. NEPA is only partially privatised. |
Politics › Re: NNPC Directors’ Expenses Jump 214% To ₦2.6 Billion by sulaak(m): 7:58am On Aug 23, 2024 |
spiSeyi: This is why I don't support government doing business, the FG should just provide a working environment with good policies then things will fall in places. Nigeria can only earn the real dividend of its oil revenue if NNPCL and other refineries are privatized . If Atiku or Obi had won the election the NNPCL will be effectively managed because they planned to do the needful by selling off the can of worms and epitome of corruption called the NNPCL. Nigeria without NNPCL has 60% of its corruption cleared Imagine if the telecommunication industry wasn't deregulated, NITEL would still be the sole provider of mobile communication in Nigeria will less than a million mobile phones across the country. Some countries and cultures can operate government-owned corporations, but in Nigeria, these organisations should be privately owned. |

Thank you I am not referring to you but to Nigerian people in general, who think they put their faith in a president in Abuja. Until recently, Nigeria's political landscape was regionally driven, like the old UPN, NPP, PRP, and GNPP. Until Nigeria returns to regional political parties that ensure regional development and control, there can never be any national development. |

Coming from a man who as VP owed intels and had major juicy maritime contracts awarded to his intels company. Tinubu might be cunning, but Atiku is downright sleazy, fraudulent and heavily curupted. It wont be sold tho, FG will resolve the whole thing and everybody will move on
Just surprised to see how long its taking them to come to a resolution on this The FG is responsible for these bilateral agreements; it should monitor them and how the state government implements them. The Federal government owns the liability; hence, during the annual review, it should be aware that Amosun has cancelled the contract, and hence, a legal investigation should have been enacted. All those road and airport projects funded by foreign investment from China and Turkey will soon be taken to court in Nigeria. The state government is worse than the federal government in terms of corruption. |
