Reports reaching us say that the Independent
National Electoral Commission, INEC, has lost a
card reader during a training routine for its ad-hoc staff in Zamfara state. Card readers were tested in several states across
the nation on March 7, 2015 to great success.
The training was on-going in Anka Local Government
Area, when the card reader was lost an official has
confirmed.
Alhaji Garba Galadima, INEC Head of Voter
Education and Publicity in the state, who confirmed
the incident on Sunday in Gusau, said security
agents, were investigating the matter.
Vanguard reports that the Police Public Relations
Officer in the state, DSP Sunusi Amiru, said the
police had already arrested some suspects in
connection with the stolen machine. He said
investigation had also commenced to unravel the
circumstances behind the missing machine.
Amiru expressed the command’s readiness to
ensure peaceful election in the state, saying that “we
will not tolerate any threat to disrupt election
process and we have to ensure full protection of
INEC materials” . He called on members of the public
to cooperate with security agents and the INEC to
ensure successful elections.
The use of card reader has been met with great
response for the local and international scene with
many skeptics opining that the use of the card
readers will reduce the risks of rigging in different
polling booths.

Definitely, the creeks will go haywire again, Buhari will send the troops to the creeks and together they will set the oil facilities ablaze.

While these persists, the oil producing companies will simply withdraw their personnel from the volatile region and all foreign investment will seize in all sectors.And even if the troops kill 90% of the militants, it will take just one militant, a dynamite and just one location along the multi- kilometre trunklines to continue to wreck havoc. 

Fast forward to 2019, if we remain one country and without a civil war,, we will be an economic wreck with no allocations and salaries, no capital projects, no hope with dollar exchanging for 400 naira and we are worse off than we were in 2015. Cos the truth is that without crude proceeds for now, Nigeria is finished. 

And then, we'll be screaming another 'Change' because we would have learnt a bitter lesson in the hands of the Fulanis, Tinubu and Saraki.And then we will ask.... Why were we this silly?
