It has been revealed that Nigeria's U-19 football which had just participated in an International Tournament, has been horribly embarrassed in Abuja.

Many of Nigeria's U19 players were stranded in Abuja on return from the Suwon International Tournament in South Korea.

According to The Nation, they were stranded after they were each paid five thousand Naira as transport fare back to their bases.

“Some of the players were stranded and had to send home for more money to add to the 5,000 Naira paid each of them before they could return home,” a source informed.

“At a point it even looked like nothing would be paid to the team after they returned from Korea.”

Team officials received 10,000 Naira with head coach Manu Garba paid double that amount.
The tournament organisers paid the NFF an appearance fee besides paying for their flight tickets and boarding in Korea.

The Nigeria U19s, made up by the core of the U17s who failed to qualify for next year’s U17 AFCON in Madagascar, posted a dismal outing at the invitational Suwon tourney.

They lost all three matches – 8-1 to England, 1-0 to Iran and 3-0 to hosts Korea – to finish rock bottom of the competition.

Former vice president was today, taught how to dab on stage by the students of a University as the crowd roared with laughter after so many failed attempts.

Former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, who was inaugurating the American University of Nigeria Law School, was captured on camera trying his hand at the popular dab dance alongside a group of students on Thursday.

Dabbing which is made popular in recent times is when a dancer raises a hand to the face, then drops the face into the elbow of that arm while lifting up the other arm up in the air.

The crowd roared with laughter after so many failed attempts by the 69-year-old former VP to make his elbow touch his forehead.

The influential APC politician who posted the video clip on Twitter, and saw his attempt at ‘dabbing’ come off as a an aerobic exercise session, captioned the clip, "Earlier today, I also learned to do this dance they called dab."

A fresh graduate from Abia State University Uturu was killed yesterday by a gateman (known as Hausa Man) in Pentagon lodge around the school.

The former student popularly known as Max graduated recently and celebrated his birthday on 25th October, 2016 with friends, family and well-wishes not knowing that his death is just by the corner. Trouble started when Max visited one of the lodge around the University, apparently to settle some scores with some students living there.

Along the line, the security/gateman attached to the private lodge requested that Max leave the environment probably due to the confusion he was creating. This request by the gateman infuriated Max and they started fighting, AFN gathered that Max picked up a rod which he used to hit and tear the stomach of the gateman to the extent that his intestines almost fell off.

In anger, the gateman ran into his apartment with his hand holding his torn stomach, picked up his dagger and stabbed Max to death. The gateman is currently in a critical condition receiving treatment, while Max is in the mortuary.
