CodeTemplar:the medicine that the country needs is the removal of subsidy. Nigeria is way too unready and corrupt to manage subsidy,i do travel cross borders by road and i have seen smuggling. this country will not prosecute these powerful kingpins they control the police. We will all suffer it including tinubu he is not getting petrol for free but he and a sizable amount of people can afford such luxury |

Omooba77:it will be crazy for me to read your long epistle about how hardship has increased due to rise in pms pump price although nothing had been said about diesel; n**gar diesel has been selling for 750 naira steady for a while now and people with diesel vehicles did not say a word. Enough of the piggy back rides Nigeria has been offering neighboring countries like Ghana, Togo, Benin, niger and Cameroon. electricity from Nigeria is used by them even though we have no light here, petrol used to be smuggled to these countries at rediculous prices as their currency exchanges lower to a naira. They underestimate Nigeria's importance and discriminate against it's citizens yet they enjoy constant light and cheap petrol from Nigeria. So enough of this bullshit. if this fuel subsidy is truly removed then I give kudos to tinubu. Look closely at tinubu's speech and facial expression, it's more of guilty conscience as he realized that most, if not all of his accusations against ambode is frivolous. Ambode instead showed maturity and "sportsmanship" when he lost the primaries-no decamping, no court cases, no attitude but instead stayed neutral. Lagos was not as populated, contentment was imbibed in Lagos and more people had good morals, a considerable population of togolese and ghanians doing labor work,I remember chicken george, Bata stores (later famad) that's where I get all my shoes from, truly no lekki(only vi and ikoyi but mostly occupied by foreign expertriates, lennerds (not sure if it's existing),kinsway stores, I live at surulere back then in my grandma's house. Egba's really played a role in Lagos as we were one of the earliest settlers (take it to the bank after doing your research) I remember military rule and Lagos being the capital of Nigeria where head of state babangida's office then was at dodan barracks obalende, Lagos was neat and less crime rate. I'm out of Lagos and will never miss it 1 Like |
