The Bible is a book of fiction, even smart Christians of our time agree that the passages of the Bible are allegories and shouldn’t be taking literally.
If you take the Bible literally then you will end up contradicting reality in many instances.

Literality of the Bible contradicts all reality of science in astrophysics, biology, geology and physics. It’s the reason literalists always have problem with science because they acknowledge the contradictions and most times science is fact because it’s observable
