Please what is the best rig for drilling a borehole? You have mentioned compressor rigs, could you advise how much this might cost? Who are the best vendors for borehole drilling equipment?

Thanks as I await your response.
Travel / Re: Airbus's A350 Successfully Completes Its Maiden Flight by sunjetg: 11:04am On Jun 15, 2013
All Boeing needs to do is to get things right and restore investors' confidence. The Dreamliner is more efficient than the A350. The A350 uses the conventional method of bleeding air from one of the compressor stages to maintain cabin pressure and this reduces the efficiency of the engine. Whereas the Dreamliner has a separate compressor unit powered by the problematic Lithium batteries for cabin pressure.

They both are made mainly of carbon composite which gives a lighter weight but investors would still prefer a more efficient aircraft. The concern even if Boeing gets it right, in my opinion might be the additional cost of maintaining the compressor-battery system over the life of the aircraft.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Why Do People Stay Unemployed For So Long??? by sunjetg: 12:10pm On May 31, 2013
Nosyke:

I can relate with the bolded as it aptly describes me. When I finished NYSC, I got a research assistant job for 2 weeks. The pay wasnt much, but i did it, just after then I joined the firm for free, was just there not being paid but i was learning. When the data entry came out, I participated. Then after that nothing because there werent any contracts for the firm. Later On I was placed on 25k salary, fast forward 5 months later, they got a long term contract with an International NGO, I was taken in to work on a contract basis, with 50k salary. While at this job,I put in all my best that even consultants we worked for were very impressed. I also travelled well across the country on tours (all expense paid)
1 year later, it was increased to 59k. I only earned this salary for 2 months before an opening came up in the international NGO, I applied.During my interview, I showed them pratical examples of what I have done for the over 3 years I finished serving. Summary, I got the job with the International NGO (great salary, working environment and prospects too)

Moral of my short story, once you finish school, start doing something, no matter how small, get an experience because it pays in the long run.

Nosyke,I cant agree more with the moral of your story. You have equally summarized my own story as well the stories of so many people who believe in themselves and who really have goals to accomplish and would always keep their eyes on the ball till its over.

From the comments of people here, you would easily make an inference on what drives them. Some have wholly blamed their unemployment on government and some site some laughable reasons for not getting a job. To such people, I say, remain unemployed and keep blaming people. Time flies and there's nothing we can do about that. Keep deceiving yourself and keep failing to look inwards to realise that your destiny lies more in God's hands and your own hands as well.

I simply want to ask you guys to stop insulting this girl. She's big,yes..but I am sure she has made efforts to reduce her weight, afterall,no one would wish to have a body this big.Not everyone has a wand for losing weight and I we should respect the fact that she cannot change her nature.

Moreover, this noise about weight especially about ladies is just getting boring. Let's leave these babes alone and stop making ''growing big'' a big issue.
Travel / Re: Pictures Of Disney Land, paris. by sunjetg: 8:21pm On May 20, 2013
coldgate: @msSantaClaus: that sounds interesting. Do you still have details of the place u stayed. I would also be going on a budget and would love to shop with any spare money I can save. This is especially so as I will be going in the thick of summer. Tickets are quite prohibitive at such times. Tanx.

If you will visit Paris why don't you go round and see other beautiful spots the city has to offer rather than centre all plans on Disney(unless you live in Paris). My advice would be: rent an apartment at a centralized area, buy a Metro ticket for a day or 2 days(Maximum 23Euro). With the ticket, you can connect anywhere including Disney. Once you have a map, you will be fine with locating all the nice tourist spots.

For the apartment, I used http://www.parisautrement.com They have nice apartments and their service is reliable and efficient. Just take your time and select an affordable, neat apartment.

I stayed 2 weeks in Paris so I could afford to spend the whole day at the park. Your child would find the children's park(closes by 6pm)fascinating. I am sure she would find all her favourite characters there. The parade at 6pm showcases all the Disney characters as they match in a splendid fashion amidst the singing and the dancing. The parade lasts for about 30 mins after which the first park closes.
I believe all Disney parks all over the world have similar features; you could plan to visit a county of your choice then.
Travel / Re: Pictures Of Disney Land, paris. by sunjetg: 10:38pm On May 17, 2013
There are two parks. One closes by 6pm and the other by 10pm. With about 60Euro,you can enter both parks. The high points are the parade by 6pm and the magnificent fireworks that marks the end of the days' event.

I tell you, if you want to give your family a wonderful treat, take them there. Its an experience kids especially would be excited about. Really there is something for everybody. I went on a space travel and visited the scary ghost zone among other activities. There are also shops around for snacks and food. Hotels are available for those that want to lodge. These are all explained on their website though.

I have lots of pics from there of course but I would upload more if you really want to see. But like someone ealier mentioned, there are lots of pictures available already and it is true.
Career / Re: Risk Management Forum by sunjetg: 11:27am On May 17, 2013
This is an amazing topic I must agree. The relevance of Risk Management in any business can not be over emphasized. I have worked in the bank and I understand credit risk management. A bad risk assessment is the recipe for a bad loan. Therefore being able to analyse a facility with a strong reference to the 5 Cs of credit is a good beginning in managing risks.

My candid advice to moderator:Nairaland as a leading social forum should learn how to analyze their decisions before making them public. When I saw rule 17, my first impression was "what a discrimatory comment". Good enough an apology has come from you but please, you have got millions of members here and that should really make you more cautious when posting such things.

My wife and I visited Disney Land,Paris. There was no dull moment thoughout our 10hrs stay. From breath-taking structures in the land to out of the world activities offered, spending some time there was just worth the money for the tickets.

Here are just few of the pictures I got from there.

Jokes Etc / Joke Of The Day by sunjetg: 7:00pm On Mar 19, 2013
A husband and wife were having dinner at a very fine restaurant when this absolutely stunning young woman comes over to their table, gives the husband a big kiss, says she'll see him later and walks away.

His wife glares at him and says, "Who the hell was that?"

"Oh," replies the husband, "she's my mistress."
...
"Well, that's the last straw," says the wife. "I've had enough, I want a divorce."

"I can understand that," replies her husband, "but remember, if we get a divorce it means that you don't get any more shopping trips to Paris, no more wintering in Barbados, no more summers in Tuscany, no more Ferraris and Lexus's in the garage and no more yacht club. But the decision is yours."

Just then, a mutual friend enters the restaurant with a gorgeous babe on his arm.

"Who's that woman with Jim?" asks the wife.

"That's his mistress," says her husband.

"OURS is prettier," she replies.

There's nothing real in Prezzo. He is just one hussler who has his eyes on the ball(I give him that credit). He wants to win and that's all!As for been a real guy,the last time I checked, real men don't make ladies cry!

IMHO,Goldie did not reperesent us well, but I think Prezzo should not go unpurnished. He has to leave the house too to pass some lessons to him.I hate the fact that he prides himself on the fact that Goldie ''was dieing'' for him and actually capitalized on that. The guy looks too local and I feel he doesnt merit even staying up to this stage in the house.

Last month in Enugu,my friend's brother was gunned than in a so called "cult clash".The incident really got me thinking and I kept wondering why young people would choose a path so cruel and crude.I mean, can't these lads get themselves engaged in some more challenging activities like studying and developing their creativities. It does beat my imamgination.
Travel / Re: Etihad Begins Flight To Nigeria by sunjetg: 1:49pm On Jul 11, 2012
manosteel: Abuja does not have large volume of passengers to fill airbus like the type we have in lagos. The last time i flew Ethiopian airline, it had to fly to Accra Ghana to get more passengers before proceeding to Dubai via Adis-Ababa.

I disagree with u on this. The truth is that some of these airlines have not been giving landing rights in Abuja. This is strategic as it would compel passengers to fly to lagos in order to patronize local flights.Lagos-Abuj is a busy route that the local flight business owners dont want to lose.So many passengers from Abuja to Dubai prefere to fly Emirates and may be Etihad will be another choice now..they will have to go to lagos or use Ethiopian airline whose services are shaby most of the time.

The fact remains that over 80% of our foreign earnings comes from the oil sector, and with no sincere plans to diversify the econonmy,I wonder the story we will leave for the next generations. For sure, what goes around comes around. The next generations will only read about the plenty of oil that once existed and how the proceeds were ruthlessly squandered.

The dicovery of course is an interesting one but it still does not disprove the fact that there is a supreme being by whom all things were created.I am facinated by the efforts and the energy consumed in making these studies, needless to talk about the whopping amount of money spent on this research.

However,we will definitely see the outcome of all these someday...Like Leon Lederman implied in his book-The God's particle:If the universe is the answer, what is the question?Time will tell.
