YouTube will be removing accurate subcount for all channels in August. To be more specific if your channel has 1277 subscribers it will read as 1k subcribers until you reach 2k subscribers and nothing else. If you have 52,357,238 subscribers it will read as 52Million until you reach 53Million and nothing else This has heavy consequences for websites that use YouTube API. For example social blade will no longer be able to provide live subcounts anymore. It will also make future growth predictions from social blade imposible because the website won't have access to the necessary data to make these calculations. This also means live sub battles like Pewdiepie VS TSeries will cease to exist because the information will be simplified and inaccurate. How Does The Community Here Feel About This? Does Anyone Have Any Clue As To Why This Decision Was Made? Is This Issue Worthy Of Petition? Please Give Me You're Thoughts On This Subject I Want To See How Everyone Else Feels About This. http://tellmystory.com.ng/story/youtube-will-be-permanently-removing-live-subcounts-in-august-2019

This is her first interview which she granted The Punch For years, you have been absent from the social scene; what have you been up to? I would say I have been retooling and reinventing myself by taking on new challenges. I’m in the education sector now, which I think is worth going into, because everything about development revolves around education. If done properly, our nation will not be complaining too much because human capital would have been well developed. So, that is where I am now and it’s like an experiment for me. My late husband (Michael Ibru) and I started with nursery, kindergarten, primary, secondary and now a university. We are trying to raise talents in a way that it would produce excellence because education across the world is not commensurate with the speed at which we are growing here. The understanding that an act of kindness can change lives should drive us to make impactful moves like Jahkil Jackson, an 11-year old Chicago boy who has already helped over 20,000 homeless people in his city by giving away ‘Blessing Bags’ through his organization Project I Am. This great project of his started when he was at age of 8, he started helping people through small ways and he is up for bigger goals as he grows older. “Seeing people on the street made me really sad because I thought everybody had homes,” Jackson told Today. Jackson was 5-years old when he first saw a homeless person. Since then, he asked his mother if they could buy houses for all homeless people. While it seemed to be a far-fetched idea for a young child, he made efforts to help them through the organization called Project I Am that he established when he was 8-years old. Through the organization, he gave toiletries, food, and water stuffed in what he called ‘Blessing Bags’ to homeless people in Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, Atlanta, Virginia, and Idaho. His efforts are not limited nationally. http://tellmystory.com.ng/story/how-11-year-old--helped-over-20000-homeless-people-with-his-blessing-bags

Lead pastor of the multi-campus Pathway Church in Wichita, Kansas, announced Sunday that his congregation paid off some $2.2 million in medical debt for 1,600 families from across the state who had fallen on hard times. Carter explained that instead of spending money on promotions for Easter services this year, the church used some of that money to help the 1,600 families in need. [flash=425,400] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Gducw0yMSc&feature=youtu.be[/flash] “We wanted to send out a different kind of mail this year. This year we decided to send out to everyone in the state of Kansas who fell into this hardship category of medical debt a special piece of mail. And in that special piece of mail there was a note. And this is what the note said: ‘We’re Pathway Church, we may never meet you. But as an act of kindness in the name of Jesus Christ you’re debt has been forgiven.' And because of your generosity all 1600 families in the state of Kansas who fell into this category of hardship medical debt including 500 families that are right here in the Wichita area, they got a letter in the mail this last week,” Carter told his church. Clearing the debt for the families also removed any negative impact from their credit histories. After the announcement about clearing the debts of families who were unable to pay, Carter tied it to the sacrifice Christ made on the cross to spare the world from the debt of sin. “I want you to imagine for a moment what those 1,600 people felt like last week when they got that letter in the mail. What was going on in those houses when they got that letter in the mail and all of a sudden they realize that their debt, this debt that has been hanging over their head has been forgiven… that’s exactly what God in the person of Jesus Christ wants you to feel each and every day – that your debt has been forgiven,” he said. |
11-year-old Connor Fitz-Gerald was outside playing with friends one day on the Marina Dunes beach in California, USA. The boy was going what most boys his age do: Digging in the sand and seeing how deep he could get his hole. That’s when he suddenly made a terrible discovery: A young girl was buried alive under the sand. Alyssa Bostic, a happy 5-year-old girl, was joyously playing in the sand at the Marina Dunes when the unthinkable happened. Alyssa had created a small cave during her playtime, and she wanted to try to fit into a small hole to go inside. But while she was standing under the cave, it suddenly collapsed. She’d been stuck for several minutes, unable to move or breathe. With Alyssa stuck inside, there seemed to be little hope for her to escape as she was completely buried in the sand. With no time to spare, Connor acted with lightning speed. It was a race against the clock, but thankfully Connor had no intention of losing. The 11-year-old started digging feverishly to uncover the 5-year-old girl, who was lying limp and lifeless. He first started to dig out her head, before clearing enough sand off of her body to drag her out. http://tellmystory.com.ng/story/11-year-old-boy-playing-on-beach-finds-a-little-girl-buried-alive-in-sand

A comedian with no political experience won a landslide victory in Ukraine’s presidential election Sunday. Volodymyr Zelensky, whose only previous political role was playing the president on television, trounced incumbent Petro Poroshenko by taking 73 per cent of the vote, according to exit polls conducted by several think tanks. Poroshenko lost to the television star across all regions of the country, including in the west where he traditionally enjoyed strong support. At his campaign headquarters, as the exit polls were published, he said: ‘I will never let you down.’ ‘While I am not formally president yet, as a citizen of Ukraine I can tell all post-Soviet countries: ‘Look at us! Everything is possible!’ Meanwhile incumbent Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko conceded he had been soundly defeated in a run-off vote by the comedian and would be leaving office next month, but said he did not plan to quit politics altogether. It was an extraordinary outcome to a campaign that started as a joke but struck a chord with voters frustrated by poverty, corruption and a five-year war that has claimed some 13,000 lives. The 41-year-old star of TV series ‘Servant of the People’ will now take the helm of a country of 45 million people beset by challenges and having run on the vaguest of political platforms. After taking the most votes in last month’s first-round election, Zelensky had enjoyed a strong lead over the 53-year-old Poroshenko going into Sunday’s poll. All opinion polls up to the vote suggested incumbent President was heading for defeat amid widespread anger over poverty, corruption and war. Both men – who traded insults and accusations in a rowdy debate at the Kiev national football stadium on Friday – had pledged to keep Ukraine on a pro-Western course. Victory for Zelenskiy in Sunday’s second-round runoff would be a dramatic departure in a country where previous presidential elections since independence were won by experienced politicians including three former prime ministers. Zelensky’s bid to lead the country of 45 million people was initially dismissed as a joke when he announced his candidacy on New Year’s Eve. His unorthodox campaign relied heavily on quirky social media posts and comedy gigs instead of traditional rallies and leafleting. He run his campaign mainly on Instagram, where he has 3.7 million followers. He has also promised to fight corruption, a message that has resonated with Ukrainians who are fed up with politics as usual in a country of 42 million people that remains one of Europe’s poorest nearly three decades after winning independence from the Soviet Union. An opinion poll by the KIIS research firm on Tuesday showed Zelenskiy with 72 per cent of the vote and Poroshenko with 25 per cent. Last week a different survey put them on 61 per cent and 24 per cent respectively. http://tellmystory.com.ng/story/from-comedy-house-to-presidential-palaceukrainian-comedian-zelensky-wins-election-by-a-landslide

RIP MUMMY! |
COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — Coordinated bombings ripped across Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, striking hotels and churches, killing more than 200 people, wounding hundreds and shattering the relative calm that the war-torn nation had enjoyed in recent years. The targets were members of Sri Lanka’s small Roman Catholic minority attending Easter Mass and guests at high-end hotels popular with foreign tourists. By Sunday afternoon, soldiers had shut down roads across the country, and a jittery government had imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew. The government temporarily blocked major social media and messaging services, including Facebook and WhatsApp, to prevent the spread of misinformation online, according to the president’s secretary, Udaya Seneviratne. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks in Colombo, the capital; Negombo, a city about 20 miles north of Colombo; and the eastern city of Batticaloa. At least 207 people were killed and at least 450 wounded, said Ruwan Gunasekera, a police spokesman. Ravinatha Aryasinha, the secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said 27 foreigners were among the dead. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, denouncing “these vile attacks,” said “several U.S. citizens were among those killed.” News media reports said British, Chinese and Dutch nationals also were among the victims. At a news briefing Sunday afternoon, Ruwan Wijewardan, Sri Lanka’s state minister for defense, said that seven suspects had been apprehended so far and that all of the Colombo attacks had been carried out by suicide bombers. The government has identified the attackers, he said, but he did not elaborate. He said the attackers were believed to be part of a single group. Sri Lanka, an island nation in the Indian Ocean, suffered decades of civil war during which guerrillas from the Tamil ethnic group were among the first in the world to use suicide bombings as a common tactic. Since the war ended in 2009, there has been some political instability and sporadic attacks, but nothing on this scale. “It has been 10 years since we last saw this kind of horror,” said Hemasiri Fernando, the secretary to the Ministry of Defense. The explosions began around 8:45 a.m., and the deadliest appeared to be at St. Sebastian’s Church in Negombo. Pictures posted on social media showed blood and rubble as members of the congregation tended to wounded people strewn across pews. The other churches attacked were St. Anthony’s Shrine in Colombo and Zion Church in Batticaloa. There were also explosions Sunday morning at three hotels in the capital: the Shangri-La, the Cinnamon Grand the Kingsbury. More explosions followed in the afternoon, all in Colombo. The first was at the Tropical Inn, a small hotel not far from the national zoo in the suburb of Dehiwala. Two people were killed in that blast, officials said. http://tellmystory.com.ng/story/sri-lanka-easter-bombings--over-207-killed-and--450-people-injured-in-8-coordinated-attacks-on-churc
