missyojo: Sorry for the loss of your father, may God rest his soul. On this issue you have presented, the payment for burial expenses is not usually an immediate payments reason being that the file will go through different channels within the organisation he died and it's usually processed by the next of kin of the deceased. I think you people should be doing follow up to know where the file has reached, once it has gotten to accounts/treasury department the money will be paid. And once the money has been paid, the next of kin will apply for terminal benefits just the way she applied for burial expenses. And to my own understanding, we ask for letter of administration if the deceased next of kin is different from the one on the record of service.
I wish you all the best
Thank you for your response missyojo. I think the info is just what I need. I'm a lot grateful.
KiNg0G: not here to judge you brah, infact I dey even dey hail you say you dey lucky. the man na your pman, it dey better place. fight for anything when go make u continue him legacy

Hello, Nairalanders. Please, have you tried processing the death benefits and pension of someone who worked at the Nigeria Security & Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) before his death? How did you go about it and how long did it take to be processed?
I'm trying to process that of my late dad and would appreciate any guidance or information.
I don't know if anyone else has said this but if you really want to save, save before you start spending. That is, immediately you're paid, keep like 10% aside. Keep it somewhere you can't touch it, like in all these local piggy banks or the internet one.
The thing is, irrespective of how much you earn, as long as you don't know how to save, the money will never be enough to sort your expenses. The funny reality is that if you start earning 30k now, you still will live this way, if you earn 70k, same. It's like the universe always sends expenses tailored to your pocket size. You then choose how to manage them.
I'd recommend you get the book: "The richest man in Babylon" and read. Then you'll realize that you aren't the only one and that an increase in your salary won't really change much.
TheManOfTheYear: Yes I attach cover letters when requested. Rejection mails are normal bro. It doesn't mean you aren't great enough. We just have to keep pushing. Every interview process for me is an experience already. It makes me a better developer regardless of the outcome
Alright man... Thanks for the reply. I must say I appreciate you for taking your time to put together this thread. Thanks again
TheManOfTheYear: So yesterday I submitted my task to the Europe based start-up. I really struggled with the task, especially some features not working from the Redux area. But I submitted anyway.
The recruiter contacted me today that they received my submission. They are reviewing it, but she told me whatever the feedback is, it would be "actionable".
Meaning if they aren't satisfied, they'd give me feedback so I can complete it based on the feedback. If they are impressed enough, I'd proceed to a technical interview.
The position is a junior position, and they really committed to training enough juniors for their company.
Now, assuming I get the job, I would undergo a three month probation period. Afterward, a laptop and workstation upgrade would be sent to me. A mentor (a senior colleague) would be assigned to me etc
This is just to give an insight on how most foreign startups welcome a new employee. But like I say, the hurdle lies in getting in.
I've received a total of about 12 rejection mails so far. That's just the way it is, it's usually a game of numbers. Not necessarily merit. That's why your CV and GitHub are extremely important. They are the first impressions. A one-page CV is ideal, though mine is two-pages.
A GitHub with good activity and solid projects is key too. So I believe. The first impressions would get you the interviews. Then your expertise and knowledge can take over afterwards. Not the other way around.
I have a writing work to complete. Man must collect small change take hold body for now
I hope you don't mind my asking: When you apply for jobs, do you send your CV with a cover letter or just the CV? Currently on the job search and all I've received have been rejections Rejections that would have been better if at least one was told where it is he is lacking, to maybe scale up but unfortunately, it's always the same kind of message.
Flamemignon1: I didn't go about telling that to everyone. I and the others only corrected the OP's assumption that pidgeonholed each actor into a particular role even though I've seen them in others such as the anomaly you claim. The OP generalized, not us. Yes, I do admit most of the actors listed are stereotypes but an actor will always be an actor, they are diverse and might surprise you by playing the opposite of their known piece
That's a nice read. Actually though, if you were more general and not just particular about one of the actors, I wouldn't have said anything otherwise.
I agree with you on everything else except the calling out of just one character in the midst of other potential ones. More Justice would have been done if you had said the O.P's claims' are all just generalization which may be "incorrect" rather than just pin pointing one which was neither the first nor last.
Anyways, Do have a good day, I think we on the same page now
Flamemignon1: No.... That all generations are false because in the long run, an actor will always be an actor
That all generalizations are false doesn't mean we go about telling that to every one especially when that person has more data favoring his point than against.
Flamemignon1: This is completely incorrect. He played a staunch feminist in Lionheart
Lolz... Noticed how quick you were in saying it's "completely incorrect" just cause it had some things "redpill"? That's funny cause if you check others mentioned before and after him, they also, in one way or the other, are "completely incorrect".
Point is, All generalizations are false, so when you see an anomaly, It shouldn't be a deciding factor for if it's "completely incorrect" or not. At least, for every "staunch feminist" he's played, he must have had 2 others which portrays him as "redpill"
stancydg: Study it again. This generation 34 Truly I tell you, this generation (the whole multitude of people living at the same time, in a definite, given period) will not pass away till all these things taken together take place. AMP
Interpretation: Look at the previous verse33. When you see these signs all taken together...meaning, the generation when all the prophecies are fulfilled. So, it wasn't about the generation back then.
Matt 24 is the scripture being considered. Blessings.
