in some old threads, I've seen atheist argue that atheism is the lack of belief in god.

they claim that they are atheists not because they 'believe there is no god' but because they 'do not believe there is god'

if it is so, this means they allow a possibility of the existence of god, and hence cannot assert that there is no god.

for example, John tells Bayo that David won a million Naira.

if Bayo states that this never happened, he is being affirmative and he is so sure that it never happened.

if Bayo states that he does not believe it happened, he is allowing a possibility of the event happening because a fact remains a fact regardless of belief (or unbelief). Bayo by virtue of his unbelief agrees that it is possible, but he does not think it happened.

if John repeated this claim to Seun, Bayo cannot say authoritatively that 'this is not true' but can only express his doubt.

for Bayo to state that John's statement is untrue, he has to have be present when the event was said to happen. but he only received information from John and can only disbelieve, allowing a possibility of the statement being true.

therefore atheist by their definition agree that god possibly exists, but only doubt because they have not been able to experience him.
they can't assert that there is no god.

Oftentimes, I have wondered why some things just don't fall in place,before the white men came to our land,we had our own gods,gods who our forefathers worshipped and in those days,it is noted that those gods were functional;They brought goodluck and calamities likewise and those who served them knew them and had faith in them therefore, whenever calamity struck,the gods were asked why and through the oracle,the reason why and the way out will be offered,acting in accordance usually reversed the effects but then,when the white men came,they brought a new God who gradually won over the hearts of our fathers and then,the other gods faded away.with faith in a new God,they now have to depend on him for virtually everything just as they had done before. He was a healing God,delivers people from evil spirits haunting them but acted exclusively to those who believed in it
This new God had a counterpart,another God introduced by the Arabs through the Sahara and gradually,they took over our forefathers gods but then,these gods had a similar trait,they only worked for those who believed in them,had faith in them.I have always wondered why the charms of the native doctors have no effect on white men but works exclusively on black men-men who feared their effects...is it because the black man had a history with traditional gods and the white men don't?
People believe in different religions and it works for them,a Christian would run to you to tell you that Jesus saves,that's because he believes and nothing can change him from that mindset but he also forgets to tell you what Jesus saves you from,from hell?,yes,from Satan and his cohorts?,yes,but a Jew will disagree with him,why?,because his Torah stopped at Malachi,a Muslim has a different mentality about the way to heaven but still,their religions work for them.Jesus saves from the concept he brought and Christians believe and it works for them,A Muslim sees his religion as a peaceful one but an average Christian would disagree with him.A native doctor serves his own God but his God is regarded as an evil spirit
Therefore, to each of these people, they all serve living Gods but to the other,they are false gods,on this note,I would like to say that faith is a major God as it affects every other God,without faith,every other God ceases to exist...
in my next post,I'll debate with Christians on the truths they need to know inorder to be set free...

although the bible has gone through a lot of changes in d past and is still undergoing changes now even after the warnings,one part that still sticks to the bible is dat a large population of your *supposed* Jews are going to be saved first before the world...who knows why,everybody worships mostly what he was brought up to,I myself knw dat I wud have been a strong traditional worshipper if I was born b4 dx age so mostly,its just our faith dat matters...it may be a victory quite okay for Christians since Judaism is d root of Christians nd tell me,which tree can stand without its roots?

I would have shot it if I were there rather than allow it die a slow painful death...

There's no way we can predict....we don't know the number of courses u have left and how many units they are individually...

1st class isn't something u start aiming in 300...u begin the journey at semester 1 part 1, once u miss it there...its really hard to get there cos all other semesters contribute just 0.0x figures to what u started with in part1.... though it opens some interview doors even some 2:1 don't even get invites for, sometimes it's not a guarantee for the best of Jobs
anyways, not having first class is not the end of the world...make sure u graduate...

You have a versatile course, the world is in ur hands...u can easily spread your tentacles into IT, cisco and the likes, Network engineering, app development. I think your options are quite wide...

If you have a flare for the corporate financial world: there are so many engineers in PWC, deloite and kpmg and investment banking...with ACCA, CFA course, You are on your way to earning nothing less than 3M-4M per annum over time...

thanks for contributing,actually,we operate on a 4points gpa and in my first two years in school,due to my reading with a hunger filled mind,I blamed my village people for my lack of understanding,it was just in d 2nd semester of the 2nd year dat I realized it wasn't my village pple bt rather,it was my feeding habit,by God's grace,my grades are improving but it seems lyk I will just settle for a 2.1 and try some of the options you gave
