President Donald Trump signed a revised executive order for a U.S. travel ban on Monday, leaving Iraq off the list of targeted countries, White House Senior Administration Officials said.

This development happened after his controversial first attempt was blocked in the courts.

The officials said that the new order, which the White House said Trump had signed, will keep a 90-day ban on travel to the U.S. by citizens of six Muslim-majority nations, Iran, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.

White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders had said earlier that the new order would take effect on March 16.

The new directive delays implementation to limit the disruption that created havoc for some travellers when Trump issued his original order.

Trump had said the restrictive order is necessary to ensure domestic security.

His Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, told reporters “As threats to our security continue to evolve and change, common sense dictates that we continually re-evaluate and reassess the systems we rely upon to protect our country”.

Justice Walter Onnoghen, the newly confirmed Chief Justice of Nigeria agreed that there is corruption in the Judiciary.

Justice Onnoghen admitted this during his confirmation hearing at the floor of the Senate yesterday, when the Senate Majority Leader, Ahmed Lawan asked how he intends to fast-track corruption cases in Nigerian courts and address the issue of corruption in the judiciary.

Soccer enthusiasts willing to watch Super Eagles’ international friendly games against the Terenga Lions of Senegal and Stallions of Burkina Faso in London should be ready to pay £10. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said yesterday that the tickets had gone on sale since Wednesday, adding that it could be purchased online. While adults will part with £10 to watch the game, children will pay £5.

The matches will be played on March 23 and 27 respectively at the Hive, London, home of Barnet FC. “It can also be purchased by phone (0044) 2083813800 (ext.1100 or 1101), or in person from The Hive, Barnet FC, Camrose Avenue, London HA8 6AG,” the NFF said in a statement.

It added that media accreditation would be allocated on first-come, first-serve basis and that it will only be given to those who have emailed/requested in advance before match day. The games will kick off by 8.00 p.m. on each of the match days.

Within one month, three year old Oluwasemilore, who was abducted by her mother’s apprentice was sold and re-sold four times.

Her mother Tobiloba, told PUNCH that the apprentice, Gladys Austin who initially gave her name as Mary John, perpetrated the crime, adding that she (Glafys) had only spent about a week with her before carrying out the act.

Tobiloba said she reported the case at the Alagbado division, who then transferred the case to the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS).

Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday struck out six out of the 11 charges preferred against the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu and three others.

The other defendants are: David Nwawuisi, Benjamin Madubugwu and Chidiebere Onwudiwe, 2nd, 3rd and 4th defendants respectively.

Nyako held that the six charges were not supported by proof of evidence by the prosecution, but sustained the other five charges.

She said there was no evidence before the court to prove that IPOB, which was allegedly managed by the defendants was an unlawful society.

During the president’s interview on Fox News‘ “Fox & Friends,” clips of which were released Monday, President Donald Trump accused former President Barack Obama of being “behind” the protests that Republican members of Congress have encountered at town hall meetings across the country.

The interviewer Brian Kilmeade first states that Obama’s organization seems to be doing a lot of the organizing [of] some of the protests that a lot of these Republicans are seeing around the country and against you.

Trump is then asked, “Do you believe President Obama is behind it, and if he is, is that a violation of the so-called, unsaid, president’s code. And he responded “No, I think he is behind it,” “I also think it’s politics, that’s the way it is.”

The organization been referred to here is Organizing for Action, which describes itself on its website as “a non-partisan, issue advocacy organization committed to growing the grassroots movement by training, educating, and activating civically engaged community members across the country.”

The group was founded in the aftermath of Obama’s 2012 reelection and occupies the digital spaces once owned by the campaign. Its chairman is Jim Messina, who was Obama’s deputy chief of staff from 2009-2011.

The organization advocates for the positions held by the 44th president, but as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, may not directly support political candidates.

“I think that President Obama is probably behind it because his people are certainly behind it,” Trump added. “In terms of him being behind things, that’s politics and it will probably continue.”

There is no evidence that the project has any direct relationship with Obama. Presidents traditionally abstain from direct comment on the actions of their successors. Following the 2016 election, Obama repeatedly said he wished to aid in a smooth transition to the Trump administration.
