Politics › Re: A Call For The Removal Of State Of Origin by superstar1(m): 12:09pm On Jun 06, 2015
It can never happen and it will never happen.

Land in Africa, Asia and Europe goes beyond grains of sand. It is the history of our ancestors that tell us where we come from, about ancestors and it is our history.

There is therefore, subconscious emotional and psychological attachment to the physical land.

Also, it will give some people the opportunity to start claiming where they have no ancestral root. All of a sudden the population of indigenous of Akwa Ibom, Delta, Rivers Ogun Lagos and FCT will quadruple.

State of resident is only possible in migrant countries such as Australia, USA and Canada.

It's removal can never bring any advantage, it will laptop ten. The mere mention your name in Nigeria gives people an idea of where you are from. How will people relate with Bolade from Bornu State, Chinedu from Oyo State and Abdullahi from Anamabra?

Going forward, the LG allocations will be going directly to LGC.

If Wike dare tampers with it, they have FG to run to and FG will hold the allocation to state.

You see, it is a win-win situation for the Chairmen and Amaechi.

Wike was just playing to the gallery and saying what mama peace and her cohorts want to hear.

He knows the rule of the game has changed and the umpire is not same again.

Those LG Chairmen will spend their full years in the. Office, if not impeached.

It is Wike 1 Amaechi 1. PDP 1 APC 1.

Lmao at this Ijebu wannabe Omo y1bo Op.

Omo y1bo OP, yorubaland is not alaigbo where Anambra claims supremacy over the rest.

In yorubaland everybody is equal, whether you are from industrious ijebus or administrative HQ of Oyo or military garrison of Ibadan or Spiritual temple of Ile Ife.

Is it only Yerima that is in the house that passed the useless law?

All the members of that house should be castigated. Most especially the female members. They are an embarrassment to womanhood.

If nzeogwu didn't strike awolowo would have rotted in jail like Abiola the same Ojukwu came back to Nigeria lived for another 30 years and was buried a hero
You are not a crystal ball reader, so your postulation on Awolowo is a mere buccal cavity exercise.

The same Ojukwu returned back to Nigeria and was given back his confiscated properties, whereas his gullible and stup1d followers died in their millions for nothing and the properties of the living were confiscated.

What an exemplary leadership from alaigbo?

The biafrans are not like the yorubas who can have their leaders imprisoned and pretend nothing is happening, Awolowo was imprisoned and it took Nzeogwu for Awolowo to come out, Obasanjo, Diya, adisa, olanrewaju and many other yoruba officers went to prison and nothing happened, Abiola the field Marshall of yoruba land, Aare ona kakanfo and his wife were murdered and nothing happened.

you will be a very stupid fool to compare igbos with yorubas, they are not and will never be on the same level or class.
Which Nzeogwu released Awolowo? There is nothing we will not hear from revisionist.

3miillion of you where suyanised for fun, what happened?

Awolowo went to prison and came out to end your rebellion, as the hero and saviour of the nation, without throwing the nation into debt.

MKO and his wife, Kudirat, died as martyrs whereas your own sissy coward mortgaged 3million lives and ran away with his family.

Another empty threat from the land of guy erosion.

It is the same ICC you are fond of threatening to go to, they will drag him to. This is an international case against him and not national.

What is good for the goose, is good for the gander.

Let the ICC tell us he is not guilty and not some corrupt red cap wearing people.

If he is dragged to ICC, what will Ohan-akamu do, apart from the usual lame ultimatum?

Lest I forget, another Ojucrook will be resoundingly defeated again.

I rest my case. You've said it all. Let me ask you some questions my friend, do you have an official record of what constitutes Biafra as of today? Do you know the boundaries of Biafra? Population of Biafra? Who are the leaders of Biafra? Imagine if Biafra gets its independence today, who are the likely people to lead Biafra? What's the economy of Biafra going to be like in the first 10 years of independence?

You see, these are the reasons why most Biafrans are not keying in into Biafra. Most people don't know what the future holds for them. You have to be able to convince Igbo millionaires in Ibadan as to what he'll gain by supporting Biara.
I cannot answer your questions Bro.

The question on the boundary of Biafra can only be determined by the confederation of Igbos and Igboid ethnic groups.

To be candid, the group needs a selfless leader like Zik, that can command the respect of the opposition with his intelligence, can sell snow to eskimos with his oratory power and has foresight enough to predict events of a decade to come as at now.

Presently, there is a dearth of quality leadership and this is actually needed to galvanise all for the actualisation of your dream.

The leader sees the future the followers cannot see and makes them to believe it and has enough charisma that oozes confidence, that will make people want to even follow him to the lions den.

With such a leader, more people, most especially igbos in other parts of Nigeria, will key into the dream.

With their level of exposure, education and investments in other parts of the country. You do not expect them to stake their lives and what they have worked for in their lifetime, to follow one tout or one never-to-do-well id1ot sitting down in one obscured room in Europe saying rubbish.

I cannot say what your economy will look like in 10years time after independence. If you are basing your economy on the China trading your people do, then you are in for a long thing. Trading does not sustain any country. For your information all trading activities in Lagos constitutes less than 1% of Lagos GDP (Lagos State Government website). That is the reason why people find your statements of we-developed-Lagos absurd and illogical

You're correct once again. It seems you're now following my line of arguments. Igbos had fought a war like South Sudan, Eritrea etc but the difference is that, while these countries achieved their objectives, Igbo didn't. Why? This is the main question.
IMO, they did not achieve it because they put the cart before the horse. They did not do their homework very well, before making the rash decision.

For such move of that calibre, international diplomacy and understanding ought to be the first move. Get a backing of a major super power, that can lobby at world stage on your behalf, which was never done.

I liked your post 'coz you're right and I'm not denying that but they still had to fallback on referendum. That's the best way to go about it especially in these era. War is no more an option.
I quite agree with you, but the fundamental problem is -- our constitution does not recognise referendum and the constitution of the land is supreme, where all actions derives their legality or illegality.

That is what we first need to insert into our constitution.

That was what killed the National Conference.

Once the constitution recognises referendum, the rest is as easy as ABC. All what one party needs is to evoke that part of the constitution. That was what made the Scottish referendum possible.

If you do not want war and bloodshed, then there is a need to find a solution to the constitutional quagmire we are in.

A referendum took place in Southern Sudan from 9 to 15 January 2011,[1] on whether the region should remain a part of Sudan or become independent.[2][3] The referendum was one of the consequences of the 2005 Naivasha Agreement between the Khartoum central government and the Sudan People's Liberation Army/Movement (SPLA/M).
Referendum was preceded by years of war. Read up.
