Saw a news this morning about Lebanon becoming a failed state and I was gobsmacked at the events reportedly happening down there.

At the end, we can sign one project, but when the money is not there, we abandon the project.

I could even use the same argument that you are using back at you....why hasn't Lagos finished the six phases of the monorail.? Why only one phase? Why did it take them nearly 14 years to finish just a few kilometers?

And by your argument, you are even basically saying your beloved Buhari was wrong for cancelling the original Lagos monorail in 1984....


You guys should , in discussing politics, face the fact that we are a poor nation, and that the aim of your candidate should be how we make more money. Right now, both Tinubu and Obi are talking about removing fuel subsdies..good...but what about raising tax to gdp ratio? Lagos and Anambra both have bad tax to gdp ratios...

When your governor starts commissioning road no that he or she is a complete dunce. For him to create time to cut take shows that he is not working hard enough. There are so many things he could be doing with his time. This current governor won't do anything that doesn't include a photo shoot. There are so many things that don't involve money but would generate funds that he is not doing. Instead, he is running around with cameras doing the jobs of local government.

Also, the rail currently covers 2.7km (Mile 2 to Marina), if you're driving to Marina from CMS it's a 5-minute journey without traffic. They should hurry up and do it to Okoko so that Lasu and badagry area residents can use it.

Osun state is work in progress for LP. They will need a few election cycles to become contentious in the state.

But the fact remains that a ruling party, the APC, the party of Ahmed Bola Tinubu and his nephew the incumbent governor, convincingly lost an election they otherwise would have won if BVAS did not set things right.

Let me remind you that Tinubu will lose Lagos presidential polls to LP and Peter Obi in February.

I beg to disagree. It is in very recent history that Osun voters, Tinubu's own relatives, rejected his nephew in what we can see as the first fairly computed election results in Nigeria since 1993.

The rejection of Tinubus's nephew, an incumbent governor, despite personal campaign appearances and fervent appeals by the former ex-governor of Lagos state and a verified Osun native to his people, must be seen as a direct sign of his insignificant value perception in the region.

There's no sugar-coating it. The only drive behind Tinubu's candidacy today is expected corruption and tribalism. Period!

Accreditation is done by facial/thumb recognition and PVC is read ..all by BVAS.

Total numbers of voters that successfully completed this are called Accredited Voters..

And they are the ones the polling unit officer is expected to give ballot papers to, so they can cast their vote.

Numbers of votes cast may be less than accredited voters ( e.g. of someone accredited didn't come back to vote after accreditation) ...BUT CANNOT EXCEEDS numbers of accredited voters.

If it exceeds, that is when overvoting has occurred.

What I said was that, if Politicians mobile people to polling unit and scare the unit returning officers, just to do over voting with a sole aim of getting the unit votes cancelled ..How can INEC mitigate against this

I hope you have learnt one or two things..and won't rush online to make derogatory comments on topics you don't have clear cut ideas on.

How are we sure Politicians will not mobilise machineries to strongholds of opposition..just to over-vote and possibly cancelled their votes?

The polling unit officers have a lot of work to do..they have to ensure the numbers of accredited voters on BVAS matches the numbers of voters on their form.

In 2018 or so, APC beat PDP in an Osun State guber election many people thought PDP had already won after it was declared inconclusive.

Thanks to BVAS and IRev - PDP beat APC in 2022 and even celebrated the victory before INEC announced the official winner.

No amount of intimidation should make INEC not to use BVAS and IRev in this presidential election. The world has fully embraced technology and we have to keep pace with the trend.
