I would like to retrieve my passport from the embassy as i have to leave for another country on friday 15th September 2017,
I have called severally and sent several mails with responses not addressing my concerns. My passport has been at the consulate for 3weeks and I did drop box. I have move my travel date to a different country two times now, unfortunately I cant move it anymore.
Can i go the embassy to request for my passport.

Please what does it mean when, a passport number is entered in the Track and Retrieve Passport and it says "no update found for the passport number submitted" even when it was showing "passport still at the US Embassy" before now

Today makes it the 12th working day of submitting my passport at the Dhl office excluding public holidays. Status states no update found on this passport. I need to travel to the United Kingdom for Msc. How do I withdraw my passport from the embassy in abuja please?

This 28days thing is simple. If you paid 8m in your account January 2017 and you need to apply for the student visa in august, you can print your statement from July 1st to July 31st provided your opening balance shows 8m (or the amount you are telling the Uk Embassy you have for fees and upkeep). They don't have to know when you deposited the money and you don't necessarily have to have lots of activities in the account during the 28days. Don't get yourself worked up unecessarily.

I'm going to attach sample statement of my acct. View it and let me know ur view becos I got a very strange advice.
NB: I initially thought the 28 days counting should start on the 12th of aug(though I deposited the fund on the 11th). Since that's when the opening balance of the 8m I deposited on the 11th of aug would reflect at the top of the statement but someone said no I have to start the 28 days the first day the actual fund for the tuition and maintenance fee reflect in the statement.
If this be the case, I transferred the fund on the 11th and reflected that very day but the issue is that the opening balance for that day is zero--.
Pls what's the right direction? When am I to print out this statement?

This 28days thing is simple. If you paid 8m in your account January 2017 and you need to apply for the student visa in august, you can print your statement from July 1st to July 31st provided your opening balance shows 8m (or the amount you are telling the Uk Embassy you have to fees and upkeep). They don't have to know when you deposited the money and you don't necessarily have to have lots of activities in the account during the 28days..

Question2:
Immediately you do your online submission. They will count back 28 days from that day you submitted online and if the amount on day one, does not cover your tuition and living expenses. There will be problems, so be very careful. From day 2 to the day before you submitted online is not really their concern because the rate can go up or down which is beyond your control but you can control your online submission date. The secret is that you MUST make sure that the day you submitted online, if they count 28 days backwards from that day the money they will find on your account is sufficient for tuition and living expenses, and at the point of online submission the amount you have that day covers your tuition and living expenses according to Oanda conversion rate. Yes I did but I went there before I got the mail because I saw that my passport has been returned. What I feel is that the moment you see 'decision made' your passport is back because the update was done by 'TLS'...

You are very right and I like the fact that you came back with this response. The guy just asked the question innocently without any intent I guess. I also think that the fact that the money was borrowed at that point does not mean the intending student does not or will not have the money to sustain him Oversea. A lot of people are privileged but the vast majority is actually trying to pool all they have together. They may not be liquid with a large sum at once doesn't meant they can't get funds from family for that purpose provided they are certain to have an inflow monthly while abroad.

Hi @ laajiblik I understand why u might think my info is flaud ryt but go check and read Tru the appendix C of the immigration rule and evaluate it critically.like I said earlier it says the money must be available in the manner specified n dat the funds will remain available in such manner unless used to pay for course fee n accommodation.now u saying it says it must be available for ones use while in the UK is ryt oo,but ask urself how it's gonna be available in the UK if u do not transfer it to the UK abi but go travel leave the money for naija furthermore "must have been held is in plain English meaning at some point u must have had d funds in ur account cos if that's not the case the rule wouldn't give the grace of using the statement at least up to a month or so after uv printed it out.i guess u need to revisit the rules u read and have a rationalistic approach bro before u accuse someone of misinformation.personally I av been asked if I had d money in an interview before by an ECO and I told I'm no cos I had sent the money abroad which is within the confines of the maintenance rules and I got my visa ooo.and who told u they ask if uv got money in d account sef when they inquire

Well anyone that is not mature enough to decipher which information to hold unto is on their own. This is the real world, if you come to nairaland to get an information that will determine your actions, then am sorry for you. My point is this people will come with all sorts of information and opinion but you should decide what you want to hold on to. Any information about when the result will come out is heresay and permutation based on timelines. You can decide to wait for the list to come out or keep checking here for people that have accurate information. All the best.
