I am Yoruba but what you said is just the truth. The day I brought my friend down to Kaduna and he saw the road network and the cost of living, the guy made plans to relocate and he is doing fine now. I go to Lagos very well because my grandma and many of my relatives are there but I can't live there. Those guys don't know they are suffering. It is better I live in Abuja than live in Lagos.

Is it? I'm into web development among other digitech skills. I run my own digitech startup too which has been confirmed by a number of persons on Nairaland I have interacted with off-Nairaland. Everything I stated are things I already practice, not speculations. My portfolio and website can be easily searched to see a few of the web and digital tech projects I have handled this year alone.
The OP stated she wants to go the entrepreneurial way and web development (and digital marketing) seem more likely to get you there than data analysis. This much is true for those who are really into digital tech.

Quick question: Are you a data analyst? If so, what have you done with it? I'd like to see your portfolio.

We know keyboard pundits and analysts like you who create a thousand how-to threads on Twitter and Quora but when we look closely, they don't have a portfolio or can't execute any job you outsource to them.

Answer the questions. Not answering is an answer in itself.

Maybe. But it is easier to own a business and/or freelance for clients even in your locality with web development than data analysis.

Working in data analysis is more like a pyramid scheme work system: Big data analysis firm with connections gets the jobs from big firms then mostly outsource it to freelancers or those in their employ.

Most times, as a data analyst, you can't really point to any project you did as yours which means you can't build a legacy portfolio. With web development, it's possible.

And data analysis has a steeper learning curve. You'd need to learn and commercialise other digital skills before you break even with data analysis.

And, many web developers are increasingly adding SEO analysis, intermediate-level cybersecurity and copywriting to their skill sets. These extra skills make you more sort after as a web developer.
