luvlaja80:It isn’t up to 15 working days yet, it’s just about 11 working days or so, just calm down. |
opomulero:mi - me =disposable income To answer your question, not more than two times(2x) your disposable income. |
Fiyinfoluwa20:If it’s 7days Flight- £510 transportation- £40 Feeding- £80 Shopping- £20 (to be honest, shopping isn’t important, you can remove it to make your budget smaller + your shopping mustn’t be clothes, it can be chocolate). Miscellaneous- £30 Total budget- £680 Don’t ever think your budget is too small because if it’s too much, you will be refused. If your brother has his place in the uk, you can say you’ll be staying with him. Just ask for his utility bill. |
Mydesmith:Why don’t you go to TLS to ask about your passport, if they aren’t with it then You need to call or send an email to UKVI requesting information about your application since the 15working days has passed. |
Ontripp:Is your uncle sponsoring the trip? Is your uncle accommodating you in his house? Is your uncle feeding you? Are you above 18years old? Your uncle- Invitation letter A copy of his British Passport data page Utility bill Your uncle’s birth certificate You- Your Birth certificate and The birth certificate of your parent that is the brother/sister to your uncle (to show how you are related to your uncle). Letter from your school stating you are a student, the school is not in session and your school resumption date). Make sure your trip doesn’t exceed the date of school resumption. School Admission letter(the letter you got when when you gained admission into the school) School I.D card Your last Sch fees receipt Your last semester result Anything else that shows you are a student Your bank statement (where your family members send you pocket money monthly). A copy of your relatives passport data page or National I.D card that you have left in Naija while you travel(parents, siblings). A copy of your rent receipt/ C of O/property deed to show where you stay in Naija- Make sure it corresponds with the address on your bank statement. Pictures you snapped with your uncle the last time he visited Naija(make sure you don’t photoshop these pictures). Your trip Itinerary A well written cover letter explaining things like- 1)Introducing yourself/where you live/a student of so so so school, in so so department, in so so level. Also explain how important your education is to you( try to bond with your education, just to show ties to it and how committed you are to your education). 2) explain properly how you are related to your uncle. 3) Explain finances- like where you get pocket money to live on (parents, uncle, siblings, aunts, etc). How much you get from each person every month- (make sure this transaction shows on your bank statement, how much you spend every month on your monthly living cost). 4) List some of the tourist attractions you’ll be visiting, why you want to travel to the UK and how much fun you plan to have. 5) Explain your trip itinerary- Break down the cost of your trip, e.g- Cost of flight/what airline you’ll be using (look for a cheap airline to use). Daily activity of tourist places you’ll be going to, how much you’ll be spending in tourist attractions(go on the internet and look for free tourist attractions in London within the same geographical location), Cost of accommodation if your uncle won’t be housing you. cost of feeding if your uncle won’t be feeding you cost of transportation within London you can put a small amount for shopping or you don’t have to shop at all- (as a student that isn’t working, you should be very prudent with money) miscellaneous money. These are the list of things I know you need, hopefully other people here would chip in if there’s more to be added. |
Priorygroup:No one can tell the eco’s decision through a phone call, you guys have to wait it out and hope for the best, that’s just a call to verify the information your Mil filled in her application form, I wish you lots of good luck. |
Ontripp:Letter from school confirming you are a student Student I.D card Last school fees receipt Anything else that shows you are a student. P.S - Be specific with how you want to apply e.g is anyone inviting you? or are you just going as a tourist who knows nobody in the U.K, so people can give you a full list of what you need to package your application. |
tnx |
cunlay007:Stop waiting for the email, go straight to TLS to check if it’s there. |
opomulero:She needs to apply online and submit docs like 1)Marriage certificate 2)her own Bank statement(her chances would be higher if her husband gives her a monthly allowance) 3) Landed property/car docs 4) her husband’s bank statement 5)her cover letter 6) Cover letter from her husband stating he will sponsor the trip. 7) If she has kids and won’t be traveling with them, she needs to include their birth certificate. I guess there are other things she has to include but the gurus in the house need to shed more light on it, wait for giselle, Justwise and other experienced people. |
Safiguy4u:Omg! Whyyyyy? What did he do? Oga Justwise please forgive him, I plead on his behalf. Pardon my manners, thanks for The congratulatory message. |
opomulero:Yes, you have to scan all pages. |
fadex56:I really don’t know anything about traveling with a king but I guess traveling with a king is like traveling with the President of a country or a group of artist/band.. Therefore, Yes, it is possible for one of the king’s Entourage to be denied a visa if he doesn’t meet the requirement. |
opomulero:Survey plan + Deed of Assignment when you bought the land + Receipt of land purchase. |
cameroncucumber:Thanks! |
If your salary is Bleep then the monthly expenses being much isn’t good at all. The money you get from your children’s father isn’t for your personal expenses but your children’s. What you would have done is put your personal living expenses a month to N40,000 because the money your children’s father sends is for their expenses which has helped in reducing your own monthly spend. If the upfront salary payment from your company isn’t reflecting in the 6months bank statement then I advise you don’t mention it, it would only make your application more complicated. These are the documents you need when applying as a salaried individual; 1) Employment Letter 2)Introduction/Leave letter 3) statement of account showing regular salary 4)Promotion letter(if you’ve been promoted recently)/Personal Income Tax card(optional). 5) children’s birth certificate (this would help verify you as their mom and the name of the man who sends your kids money every month as their father). This also shows that you have relatives here whilst traveling. 6) Letter of consent from the adult who would be the temporary guardian confirming that they would be looking after the kids whilst you travel for 7days. 7) Booking confirmation of Hotel/hostel where you’ll be staying in the uk. Your trip Itinerary9)Cover letter- introducing yourself, what you do, talk briefly about your trip, how much you’ll be spending, what account you’ll be spending from, explain irregularities in your Bank statement. The cover letter helps you explain to the eco what you couldn’t explain on the application form and also helps the eco know you better in order to assess your circumstance in your country. 10) Tenancy agreement/C of O of the house you live in in Nigeria. That’s if you own the house. This is all i can remember for now, hopefully, other experienced people on this forum would shed more light on your requirement. |
Adex2066:1)Your one-off purchases don’t count because one-off purchases comes from your disposable income most times, your monthly living expenses is what you spend every month, like food, petrol, transport fare, just regular stuff. 2) Don’t bring up your 100k leave allowance because you didn’t mention it in your first application, bringing it up seems kind of shady(Just my opinion). |
justwise:Thanks! |
Silas12345:Please don’t mind your agent, he is trying to ruin your life. What he is trying to do is make you apply for a 6months visa, travel to the uk to become an illegal immigrant. Being an illegal immigrant in this time and age is totally wrong! You will work your butt off for peanut, you will never be free, the day you are caught, you will be deported, you are too young for such life. It’s better you look for a career in IT (information technology), you can go for a 3months course right here in Nigeria then go online and look for a job in the U.k, I know there are websites where Jobs for immigrants are advertised, I don’t know much about it though. (Just my opinion). |
1blessing:If you have enough money for another application then cancel this application, ask for a refund if you’ve been debited (Refund takes I think within 30days) then start a fresh application. Your budget for 7days shouldn’t be more than 850 Pounds, 1,500 Pounds is too much. I can guide you on your budget when you are ready but before you even get your budget together, the first question is 1) Is your salary being paid every month into your account? how much is your monthly salary? 2) how much do you spend every month as your living expenses?. I ask these questions because your monthly expenses in Nigeria also plays a role in budgeting for your trip. |
When explaining your finances, just try to make it as straight forward as possible, for example; Inflow of Funds into my account in the last six months are ; 1) Salary is X 2) Monthly upkeep of X for the kids from their Father(put father’s Name). 3) Summer Money (X) for the kids from their father 4) Income made from side business a b c... blah blah blah. You also don’t need to explain the N30,000 , it’s not huge compared to the bigger amount that has been going in. How long are you staying? Your budget depends on how how long you plan to stay. If the application is still open for you to be able to edit, then go ahead and edit it, that means your payment hasn’t gone through then. |
Green4:Thanks! I guess yours was faster because it’s Abuja but mine was in Ikeja. |
Seslie:Give it a week, by this time next week, you would have gotten an email for pickup. |
dilodavid:Thank youuuuu!!! |
Hello everyone,I just want to say a HUGE thank you to Oga Justwise and Menakay, @Menakay, if not for you, I won’t have applied for 5years visa, I really hope you still come to this platform and you get to see this message. I just collected my passport 5minutes ago, this is my timeline; Biometrics- 16/09/2019 DMC Transfer- 16/09/2019 Concluded- 02/10/2019 Collection - 09/10/2019 Picked up Passport today with 5years Visa. |
Adex2066:Go ahead and pay your rent, as oak202 said, it is a positive thing because you won’t be paying for rent if you are planning to elope, that’s also a tie. |
DCTrendy:It isn’t short, that’s 19 working days. The only delay you might face would be from TLS(returning your passport) |
Msadesina:Check the 29th of September on this forum, I saw someone (oak202) paste the link he used in sending his own letter across. |
Msadesina:If you explained this in your cover letter, then you should write a letter of consideration stating that you explained your salary inflow but if you didn’t explain it thoroughly in your cover letter then I’ll advise you apply again and explain your salary inflow in the extra space on your application form and also on the cover letter, just Incase the eco doesn’t read your cover letter. |
Msadesina:1. I haven’t had a personal experience with requesting for a refund but I have seen people say theirs was refunded within 30days. 2. With regards to the letter of consideration that you want to send to them, Is your salary of N414,511 reflecting in your statement? or is your salary 285k? |
Msadesina:You need to upload the refusal letter here, hide your details before uploading it, the content of the letter would help the gurus here in guiding you on how to go about the letter of consideration. |
okposm:Congratulations! |
... Thanks everyone
