well, the name on the statement doesnt matter 2 d sch . where there might be a problem is at the embassy where they will really wanna knw y any1 apart frm your parents wanna sponsor u.wat wil such individual stand to gain frm sponsoring so its always advisable to have a statement sent in your parents name(like i did)

Thanks, I want to use my Boss' statement that has up to 3.4M in it for d school and when i want to apply for visa, i want to use the one that carries same surname with mine.

If I get the statement latest on 20th, I guess I can still send it to them cause I saw it on their website that I can fax it to them. Does it realy means that my surname should be thesame with that on the statement? Can I use different statement for school and visa application?

@Suxes for your course of study i think u should check dis sch out California State University Northridge www.csun.edu dey dont require Sat & Toefl frm Nigerians dey accept 5 passes in WAEC.If u want to apply for spring u have less than 30 days.Check dem out and contact me asap.Cheers

Dey dont accept TOELF lik u said, bt I want 2 know d amount I need 2 pay b4 I get my I-20, is it vry compulsory 2 send d statement of acct 2 them as my sponsorer is nt in Nigeria now and he wont be back until November 30, kindly advise me on wat 2 do as dia is no more time to waste now.

@Khadie et al, They didn't return the original visa letter, statement of account and letter from sch after the first application which was refused.
@iz2much, on the admin review form they said they will attend to it within 28days and He submitted on the 31st of august.
Even the reapplication is already takin forever.Its really slowing things down for me. 2moro is another public holiday again!

Let me explain things here, He has lots of visa on his passport but dis Holland thing was a mistake from me i guess, bocs i was suppose to book for his hotel reservation 4 a week but i booked 4 days and d visa was not granted. Dat was d last page on his old passport and he is using his new passport now, I never knew it is a big deal to be sincere with you. I`m srry if i av hurt anybody here. He is using his new passport for his application 2 Germany now.

@ justwise, its not their fault but i can tell you that u`ll do your possible best @ times and u wont get apointment, I aint promotin touts but some of them are not touts. Ask anyone who has been 2 d embassy in lagos recently and dey`ll tell u dat dose people have thier own office there
