Na Finland I dey pity for all this |
Mysticwebb:Not really This news is nothing Na when Nato begin process for Finland Ascension that is when all hell will be let loose in Europe No point to react now |
local government urge residents of Nikolaiv to evacuate from city |
BritishNaija:First let me correct the bolded Every rocket weapon needs a platform for launch but thinking the Russian hypersonic missiles are only launched from aircraft is false Do your research and be open minded. you don't have to be hidebound about it Zircon is Russian hypersonic cruise missiles launched from Surface Ships and Submarines and also have a group base launcher It is hypersonic and have and operation range of 1000km and maximum 1500km S400 still remains the best anti aircraft anti missile system in the world although not deployed in Ukraine because there's no need for it yet. You mentioned stationary target, well Khinzal is a surface to ground missile but YES It can hit a moving target. It was designed to hit enemies surface vessels and ships are moving targets Like I said before there's no stealth technology yet...Is it stealth if the moment it opens its cargo bay or attempts to drop tactical load its radar signature is pick up by all known radar installations? That's why these stealth jets like the B2 bombers are best used for carrying Nuclear load |
seunny4lif:Russia has taken pospana and are heading towards the Soledar-Bakmut direction In the last 48 hours Russia has taken full control of Voivodivka and Zarya and are heading towards Pavlorah in a wedgelike formation to cut off Lysichansk from Severedonesk Recall that Ukraine forces fighting in Donbas are concentrated in Kramatorsk-Slavyansk-Severedonesk-Bakmut area There will be many cauldron like mauripol very soon where Ukrainian forces will be cut off |
BritishNaija:There's no stealth technology...at least not now F35 is as stealth as Russian Air defence are not involve Not with its radar signature now known But I will like you to argue this so i can make my point better |
No matter how expedient they want to make the process it will still take time and all 30 members national parliament has to adopt both nations as military allies under NATO in their respective legislation. So it will take time, enough time to stop the process altogether by military invasion Russia may not react much to Sweden but Russia Will never tolerate Finland as nato nation close to its borders. The risk is high and may eventually lead to an allout war in Europe and probably a nuclear war. All this NATO gragra are just for the media because even NATO members know it won't happen now....maybe in the next 10 or 20 years after Ukraine matter don cool down or Russia don dey weaken but absolutely not now.... |
I dont know how many times I will say this. Finland can't join NATO...just like Ukraine can't join NATO. It will lead to too much tension and security issues in Europe See Finland see St Petersburg Same way Russia can't deploy Nukes to Kaliningrad Actions have consequences and the reasonable ones in Europe will weigh the consequences and any promise of gain before proceeding with this suicidal thoughts Make una reason am na Even most NATO nations will veto Finland ascension to NATO. All this are just mouth action. |
Civilians or combatants? |
Uprightness100:Over 90 people! Combatants or noncombatants? Ukraine has been known to operate from civilian areas and they typically hide in school, hospitals |
firstone:The tank was deployed under what regiment and what Division Currently operating in Kharkov until April 29 last check was 47th GTD and 4thGTD Is your T90M operating separately or in a SGTD (separate Guard Tank Division) There haven't been any evidence to support that 2nd Guards Kalinin Taman Motor Rifle Division is operating in Ukraine just speculation otherwise there would have been many sightings The image you posted is fake, mostlikely a modified T80U It looks more like the T80 |
The T90 is not operating in Ukraine If it will operate then it will be in a tank regiment not alone and there would have been several sightings not only on Ukraine but also during transport from Russian The Tank Divisions operating in Ukraine does not have a T90 regiment |
Igbofam2:288 MSR regiment in what army/division Of all the over 20 Battle tactical groups operating in Kharkiv area I've not heard of 288MSR This is why I find news like this hard to believe because the poster will not do some small background check Operating in Kharkov/Izyum axis 47th GTD (composed of 26GTR Battle group) 3rd MRD (752MRR Composed) 64SMRB separate motorized rifle batalion(under 35th CAA combined arms 1st Battle group) 4th GTD ( composed 13GTR) 2nd GMRD (composed of 1GTR) 106th GAD Mainly operating in Kharkiv is the 47th and 4th Guard Tank divisions and no 288 or MSR featured in their ORBAT So in which division is your 288 MSR and what does MSR stand for Also there's no commanding officer with this name and I tried Google searching but only 1 search result came up. This is another morale killer for Ukrainian fighters Ukraine has all its best fighters in Area of contact The only reinforcements this fighters will get will be greenhorn that don't even know how to hold a rifle properly Zelensky should seek a way out of this conflict |
Pospana is now under the full control of the Russian and Allied forces. In my earlier post (about 2 weeks ago) I explained how the taking of pospana and advance from liman will cut of the Ukrainian forces concentration in Severedonesk, Lichisank area. Well, Ukrainian command has confirmed the pulling of 4,000 of their fighters from Pospana but to where begs the question. It is safe to assume that those withdrawn soldiers will reinforce the Soleda-Bakmut line because that area will come under direct fire from RF and LPR forces advancing from Pospana The problem here is Artemivsk(Bakmut)-Soleda does not have the entrenched fortifications Pospana had and if the RF and allied forces from Holivka breaks through then Bakmut will be overrun, completely isolating and cutting of communication and supply line to the Ukrainian forces at Severedonesk. Unless the forces from Horlivka decides to head towards Konstantinovka which is unlike. We've seen the Russian tactics so far is to surround and isolate Ukrainian forces in a particular area and then finish them off. Taking Bakmut will put pressure on Sloviansk-Kramatorsk area and that is where Russians hope to defeat the Ukrainian forces at the theater of Donbas. Well, let's see what happens to Bakmut in the coming days and if the Ukrainians will be able to avoid this huge envelopement (cauldron) that is about to happen

baralatie:There's alot going on around Odessa and the snake island now There's heavy movement of landing ships and transport of materials to Zmiiny (snake) Island near Odessa which is under Russian Control since Feb24. The island has been turned to a fort that reinforces Russian naval blockade on Odessa and directly put the Izmail Oblast, the westernmost part of Odessa, into direct line of fire from Snake Island. In the past few days Ukriane has been making lots of attempt on military infrastructures and naval vessels in the snake island, relying on western intelligence, and coordinating raids with Bayraktar TB2 UAVs and SU 24, SU 27 on this islands The Ukrainian recent and intensified actions on this island that has been out of the news since the infamous feb24 capture can only suggest 2 things; 1. Either there's enough Intel on a possible Russian amphibious landing on Odessa, (personally I think Zatoka is of more strategic value in any operations in the Odessa region since it will cut the large region into two and render the western half useless and incapable of supporting the rest of Odessa) 2. Or they are trying to lift the blockade which will open supply/shipping route for western lethal aids to reach Odessa, and Ukraine The latter is unlikely, because I don't see how the Ukrainians can beat the black sea fleet with currently 2 guided missile frigate and a submarine operating in the area. NB: the Ukrainian Navy is non-existent. |
Gawd, this is so funny ![]() Racism? Or a mistaken identity maybe the black woman is from a tribe of shape-shifters and must have transformed into a hippoImagine! A whole hippo ![]() Definitely Racism |
Are they still talking about this EU can't replace Russian gas now |
Admiral Makarov and Admiral Essen both Admiral Grigorovich class frigates are actively operating in the Black Sea. No amount of Ukrainian propaganda or Nato coordinated attacks with the Ukrainians can remove this guided missile frigate from the black sea. Also active in the Black Sea is the Submarine Rostov na Donu and theirs alot of landing activities in the Snake island a few kilometers from Zatoka and Odessa oblast area Possibly, the recent Ukrainian harrasment in the snake island/Odessa fleet force concentration area may be (1)an attempt to either deter a possible amphibious landing in the Odessa area (2)or open up the Naval blockade of Odessa for Nato shipments and military aid. The latter is unlikely |
@shogsman baralatie rottennaija VictorUSA I have a question? What is US exports to the world and what is the volume of this export that makes it the "2nd business partner" like VictorUSA said? Forget about imports I really want to know the USA exports to the world Let's look at it critically |
An African Proverb my Dad often tells me 'If the lizard and the gecko decides to get married, good for them, but it will be silly for the butterfly to dance her garment to shreds in celebration' The butterfly here is Africa The gecko hunts it at night It's on the Lizard's menu at day So why should the butterfly celebrate the marriage of the gecko and the lizard |
Nothing can stop the rise of China The first time I heard "capitalism with a Chinese characteristics" I began to understand what the Chinese leadership has been working to achieve for the past 4 decades No be moimoi Instead of envying them, other should look at formulating an economic system that best suit its reality and can promote growth and development It's not by doing copy copy, copy from the West, copy from everybody, textbook economist yet nothing they work. |
Last I check Russia still has the best missile defence in the world and they are the only one breaking their record in same missile defence Last I check Russia has the fastest missiles in the world, missile that can evade missile defence systems even their own, missiles that can evade all known radar system by traveling across the magnetic poles making it difficult to track. And they are the only ones breaking their own records in missile technology Russia is way ahead The Collective west should catch up |
These ones will end up in Russian hands like the ones they've supplied before now. |
ObamaMessi:Thanks for the honorable mention ![]() Salute Pls add Drenimarcus |
We bin know ![]() By the time this conflict is over Ukraine will be fully submerged in debts Ukraines debt will be hitting $2trillion aids from western nations, loans from western banks like IMF to support their wartime economy, inability to export their agricultural products and the US is making I worse with the Lend-lease act. Then talk about reconstruction; presently, it will take over $150billion to reconstruct what's left of Ukraine not to mention what the cost will be after the war Their economy is in tatters and the post war economy will be worse. Every critical sector in Ukraine has stopped functioning and they are hoping on $7billion monthly from the West to continue operating Ukraine GDP nominal is less than $200billion and PPP around $500billion. Ukraine economy is expected to recede by 50%. This means they will inherit a post war debt 20 times bigger than their nominal gdp and 10 times bigger than their gdp by PPP ![]() Abeg, Ukraine is run by clowns ![]() By the time US (lend-lease act) is through with them and finally allows peace to return to what's left of Ukraine it will be swimming modified Oh! Before I forget. A good 20-25% of this arms will be resold in the Black market by non-state actors and radicals. A new crop of Oligarchs will be made and insecurity in Europe will be multiplied. Europe state better start beefing up securities because they are in for a looooong nite ![]() |
True, Nato has messed up no doubt and should be disbanded Poland is planning to move heavy equipments in the guise of 1 month military exercise in the country's east and north while Belarus is moving forces and equipment towards Poland borders. Romania is moving equipment eastwards too but lying through their teeth that they are not planning on sending forces to Moldova Transnistria is on high alert, setting up road blocks and check points while heavy conscription and recruitment of forces is on-going in the Russian backed breakaway Moldovan territory UK is deploying 8000 soldiers to Europe, biggest ever British deployment since wwII The Baltic has expanded their forces Russia is testing and mass producing more deadly and strategic weapons Intelligent services are saying that Poland is trying to deploy 'peacekeeping forces' to west of Ukriane Europe is in a tearing race to arm itself and there's a sense of insecurity and panic all over Europe Coupled with economic problems, impending recession and an uncertain future. Europe is doom if they don't handle this situation properly All this could have been abated if only Nato stuck to the gentleman agreement they had with Russia about eastward expansion. |
joyandfaith:From Sun Tzu's Strategic assessment war can only do 2 things to a nation; preserve it or Destroy it This are the only valid reasons a nation should go to war For Russia, it is for State preservation Russia fears Nato encroachment simply because NATO has only 1 agenda; to destroy Russia Nato claim to be defending Europe from Russian aggression but it's posturing for the past 3 decades say otherwise. From Geopolitical hegemony, to economic wars, to proxy wars, to deploying Nuclear weapons in central Europe to target Russia (because they have no other nuclear enemy) to attempt of encircle and cutting off Russia from the rest of the world Even in their Hollywood you see them portray Russians as bad and themselves as good and how they eventually kill or destroy the Russian characters; yay! Good prevail over evil. And you expect the Russians to clap when they see all this. In their mind, the collective West is coming for them and threatens to destroy/exterminate them. Even you as a neutral, you can't tell me you don't feel somehow when you see this cancel culture the West has cultivated and watered against Russians or that you're comfortable with it. You and I may be next after Russians. This is the very reason why China is standing behind Russia because a world without Russia right now is doomed. After Russian, it will be China, then Middle East and Islamist then Africans They will save the South Americans for last |
https://www.nairaland.com/7101436/germany-finally-approves-heavy-weapons ![]() When I read this post I tried not to laugh but to ask some critical questions like; 1. Is Germany really sending heavy weapons to Ukraine? 2. Can the weapons Germany has sent to Ukraine be considered heavy weapons or light arms? So far, we hear from the media that the biggest economy in Europe and having one of the largest defence industry in Europe, Germoney is sending arms to Ukraine to fight the Russians and pro west fanbo.ts on Nairaland always celebrate to the point of massive orgas.m to such news without full understanding of the meaning of what is being said or the implications to reality on ground. From observation, Germany is only concern about its economy and paying lipservice to the situation in Ukriane to avoid backlash or stroking from its masters at Washington. The German economy must not be in any compromising situation or the regime at Berlin will suffer heavy consequences. But Germany need to be seen as a leading figure in the current anti Russian actions in Europe. Is Germany sincere? Why is the Bundeswehr always listing weapons they don't have complete export control as aid to Ukriane https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/swiss-veto-german-request-re-export-tank-ammunition-ukraine-2022-04-26/ Who is fooling who? Germany defence ministers since 2013 has been women Who has no war experienceImagine women, as in nwanyi, Iya ![]() Which serious minded country even after Russia adventure in Crimea in 2014 had a woman with no war experience or past military service as a defence minister? ![]() Not just 1 woman, but 3 consecutive women as defence minister since 2013. Ursula von Der leyen (current President European commission) 2013-2019 Annegret Kramp-Karrenbaur 2019-2021 Lambrecht (incumbent) Trust me it's either the weapons they are sending are the usual anti tank light arms that hardly dent the T64 tanks, or they are sending obsolete 1970s tanks like the 4 S300PMU from Slovakia. ![]() Without Swiss intervention in their defence industry Germoney barely has working weapons and military equipment ![]() The Last ministers were all females so they have tanks suitable for pregnant women and APC with baby pouches and sanitary wares so much for copying the western woke society ![]() There's a natural economic and strategic relationship that Germany rightfully cultivated with Russia. It's no wonder why they prefer sending helmets than actual weapons https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/1/27/a-joke-germany-mocked-over-plan-to-send-helmets-to-ukraineI understand the emotional reaction from the West especially when news like this trend in the MSM but the reality on ground is entirely different. And I think the op sapientia of the original post is grossly misinformed by the msm Germany won't be sending heavy weapons to Ukriane at least not now. The West are still testing the waters to know what weapon system the Russians can tolerate in Ukriane Recall the Poland misadventures with Mig 29 jets sent to German airbase for delivery to Ukraine https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/3/9/us-rejects-poland-offer-to-send-mig-29-fighter-jets-to-ukraine Now you get it ![]() |
The Russian citizenry mind is made up about this war They see the encroachment of NATO as a big threat to their state No wonder Putin's rating is improving and approaching 90% That's how the Russian Public feel about this war |
