Sol-Ark is an American Patented version of Deye China. Victron is Victron Worldwide.

Sol-Ark is a Transformerless Hybrid Inverter, Victron is mostly a Transformer Based Inverter but has shifted from conventional transformers to Toroidal Transformers in the recent years.

Both Inverters are strong and reliable but I would choose Victron over Sol-Ark.

Power Rating:
Victron Power Factor is 1:1 for both Battery and Mains Power Inversion.
Sol-Ark Power Factor (for some models) is 1:0.8 for Battery Power Inversion and 1:1 Mains Power Inversion. Meaning that if you have a 15KW Sol-Ark, on battery you can only get 12KW total load. Load it more than 12KW is triggers over current alarm and shuts off for a few minutes.

I haven't experienced this with Victron though.

I can't place my head around your inference about PV Production here.
I am also a registered PVOutput User but for some reasons I decided that I don't need such logging of data to some open source hosted servers.
From the list you posted you should know that not all Nigerian Solar Users are on that list for you to have substantiated your claim.

This is a brief intro of my setup:

2x 8KW Deye Hybrid Inverters EU-Version.
4x 15KW Felicity LPBF48300 Battery Packs.
24x 600W Canadian Solar Panels.
10x 540W Felicity Solar Panels.

That's about 15KWp I have here and I do generate above 60KW PV Energy daily here in Abuja.
The top system on that your list didn't make it to half of my PV Power.

I'm using it to power my freezer and fridge (not inverters ones), 0.75 interdab submersible pump (during the day), lighting, fans, laptop and other small stuffs. However, I haven't gone over 50% load capacity yet since I've gotten it.

Those using Standalone inverter with separate CC to charge they LiFePO4 battery, what happens when the battery is fully charged and you still have Load connected and solar is available.

1. Will the battery keeps charging just to supply power to the load?

2. Will the BMS shutdown inflow of power from the CC and thereby supplying the load directly from the battery?


I know that with hybrid you can set power to be used from solar alone, but I am considering how possible it will be to use the power from pv(when available) and not touch you battery when you have a floated battery in a standalone point of view.

but shey all those lithium batteries that have power button on them, if the solar is producing enough energy and you want the inverter to power the load and leave your full battery alone, if you turn off the battery will it not leave the battery alone?

Growatt inverters consume too much power o. Is your load that plent? If your load is not up to 2000W, buying the growatt will 1. Be a waste of Money 2. Growatt 3kw inverter is said to use 50W on its own on stanby. That is a lot of power that the inverter will be consuming on its own. But since your system is a 48V system, I dont think you will see any 48V inverter lesser than 2.5Kw upwards but bear in my mind that it consumes a lot ot power. Many youtube videos testify to that

which inverters have the least idle power consumption on standby.

Con: Any issue with inbuilt cc, charger, inverter will mean taking the whole system for repairs.

The other way around for stand alones

but the failure rate between both scenes, are they the same?

Before you migrate to lithium, make sure that your inverter/ charge controller can charge lithium adequately

please can you explain the minimum requirements of the inverter/charge controller to charge lithium... Lets say 5kwh lithium battery

I dunno even where to start reading from, but my confusion that Brought me to this thread is that i want to use lithium battery, that one is already certain.... But should i use a hybrid inverter with built in charge controller or use an inverter and a separate charge controller...
