Fighter Pilot:

By the time we get there the enforcement mission would have already been completed. Infact, intervention is almost done and when the next one come it might not be a Tanzanian, it might be Ugandan or Kenyan.

In deployment you will not even get to see Tanzanian general because his role is only to strategise with the various contigent commanders (Colonels) and the head of the mission (MONUSCO). After everything else has been decided on the meeting they will devolve all the responsibility on contigent commanders to engage their contigents. Contigent commanders will further devolve the responsibility to officers within his contigent and officers to NCOs.
Oh please fighter why waste your time on these guys they lost it in Mali and now they worship Tanzania like a Nun to a Pope they are trying to salvage some pride they are all talk no action while we walk the talk,we are benchmarking when war historians and commentators talk about an intervation Brigate our rainbow nation flag will be flying high

zaandrew: I wonder if the Nigerian civilians know that the DRC officer that lead the attack was trained by south Africans?
I made that point a long time ago I think Cragb is right you are wasting your time just watch they will dispute it

chris365:

as a soldier you should be able to differentiate between peace keeping and enforcement.

Nigeri has never been under command of any foreign troop in peace enforcement.

Our mission in somalia was funded by the US since they needed help from african troops and only Nigeria was capable of such deadly mission. But was never under US command.
sANDF with it's shiny weapons have no achievements in peace enforcements.

Trust me, you are in good hands under Tanzanian command. They are better achieved than SANDF. Fact

Fact all your missions were a big failer remember

Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by swankyvodamail: 12:12pm On Sep 01, 2013
Msauza: OMG!! Boko Haram strikes yet again, despite heavy deployment of the army to the regions most affected by terrorist attacks. Instead these cowards called NA send mere civilians to fight BH on their behalf and only to find that they fall on the death trap set by the insurgents. It looks like Boko Haram has captured Army vehicles, weapons and their uniforms and use them to lure civilians to their death trap. Here I bet with you, The Nigerian military is defeated, period. It is just only a matter of time that they will officially announce to the world that they have finally lost the battle against terror and that the UN must takeover.

http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-23918155
Their soldiers are so afraid to die they even enlist vigilante groups to fight BK they ran away in Mali and now they are running away at home BK has even impounded their vehicles and uniforms OMG its raining dogs and cats in naija

NaijaPikinGidi:

SELEKA kill ratio is a fraud!
SANDF sniper kill and range is a fraud.

The 2 cases mentioned are especially for you!
Show us a source which dipute the SELEKA kill ratio and show us a source which say you cannot shoot from the mentioned distance unless if your special force use AKs which has a range of 800m
Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by swankyvodamail: 6:32am On Aug 31, 2013
zaandrew:

firstly you mentioned SANDF, yet they never made any statement,

secondly, selka confirmed the deaths so how is a fraud

The SANDF have had this to say on the sniper

The softly spoken but steely-eyed man who heads the SA National Defence Force’s (SANDF) Joint Operations division will not be drawn on whether a South African operator made one of the longest confirmed sniper kill shots in history.

Various South African media have carried reports of a successful two kilometre plus kill by a South African soldier deployed in the DRC as part of the UN Force Intervention Brigade (FIB) this week.

“South Africa was not specifically requested to supply snipers as part of its troop contribution but the 850-strong battalion moved to the DRC to be part of the FIB does have certain capabilities,” Lieutenant General Derrick Mgwebi told a briefing in Thaba Tshwane this morning when asked about the sniper’s kill.

That is a question you would have to ask the UN,” was all he would say. At the time of publication the UN Peacekeeping Operations website did not carry any information about the sniper shot.

So i ask again please show SANDF fraud
Jealousy is eating them alive just like a marrow bone cancer.

It's curious that they use South African media to discredit South African media.

You do not know the Soldier, you do not know the exact position or distance between UN troop/rebel holdouts. How did you come up with detail of weapon used when you clearly state that the weapon handler is unknown? If this is a big deal then there's definitely a lot more sniping to be done to successfully accomplish this Tanzanian led UN mission. Sniping surely goes both ways! cool cool cool cool
Fact 99% of our guns are supplied by Denel and they are SA designed live with it

I mean the lying civilian on this thread who made that entry! Unknown soldier? grin grin grin I'm in uncontrollable laughter! grin grin grin grin
Fact he is a south African and he is still in the DRC hopeful when he is finished with his mission we will send him to Nigeria to teach his collegue how to shoot accurately no hard feelings fellows we set the benchmark as to how to be the best of the best sharpshooter in the world

Look at the video of Greeff discussing it here:

Funny the same guys were bragging before the offensive that they will give us a hiding forgetting that we trained them they thought they can play with the big boys or in the bigger league but the way things stand they have their tales between their legs begging for truce

i can understand that your troops are new to the whole enforcement business. that's why your blood is rushing.

Nigerian snipers have seen action looooooonnng before your troops can dream of. grin so nothing new

notice the sniper being celebrated by those he has saved in Liberia?

and the one below ready for action in siera leone.

like i said.. nothing new

main issue is you are not in command of your men. you are being commanded by a lesser military power.. no capability to lead grin
Are you dreaming or playing ignorant these is the first mission in the history of the UN approved to enforce peace or to engage for your info it was approve in March stop lying please

still blabbing i see. it woud be f00lish of me to exclude French role in the conflict. but Nigeria LED it's own Regional troops to Mali. history now speaks of it. and i will never retract my statement just because you are too slow to understand that.

so your snipers shot some rebels.. yeah yeah! who is in command of them in battle? simple question and you are just blabbing to nothingness
Can you please do some research and more reading these offensive is led by the Congolese army supported by the UN special forces maybe you don't understand the word UN
Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by swankyvodamail: 6:47pm On Aug 30, 2013
chris365:

dead brain. Nigeria successfully LED AFISMA(the whole west african contributing troops) in the Mali conflict. no Nigerian ever claimed full glory for Mali. so am not gonna rule out french role because i want to convince some dead brains.

Nigeria has never been LED in any peace enforcement missions which SA is being commanded by a lesser military power..FACT for your dead brain.

now tell me who is leading SANDF in the FIB in DRC? no beating about the bush..
Funny you said no insult but you are the one who continue to insult us South African when we respond with insult you cry derailment of the topic you should have answered with facts
Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by swankyvodamail: 6:40pm On Aug 30, 2013
chris365:

dude get your head straightened out. am not in the mood for name calling(main reason i stopped responding to your posts). too much of it kills your cognitive reasoning skills... like you just showed. try do research on it.

you just proved to be less smarter and more ignorant by saying Jean Bosco led AFISMA. when did UN take over the mission? was it during or after the fighting took place?

AFISMA was never a UN mission and it was led by Nigeria. it's a fact that's already in history.

the intervention brigade is not a south african mission and will never be in history as a South african led mission.

The first commander of AFISMA is Nigerian Major General Abdulkadir Shehu.
Meanwhile, the heads of state and government of ECOWAS have endorsed Major General Shehu of Nigeria as Force Commander and Brigadier General Yaye Garba of Niger as Deputy Force Commander
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African-led_International_Support_Mission_to_Mali

The United Kingdom (UK) has pledged to support the Nigerian-led ECOWAS war efforts in Northern Mali through the provision of intelligence, trainings and logistic support to the Nigeria troops.
http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/mali-british-defence-chief-visits-nigeria-pledges-support/138287

Will Nigeria-Led ECOWAS be a Footnote to the French in Mali?
http://allafrica.com/stories/201305071215.html

now, show me where it say's the DRC intervention is south african led? oh, i forgot.. you are only contributing to a UN led mission and commanded by a Tanzanian. since SANDF lacks the capabilities to lead. tongue
So what different does it make we are not power hungry ours is to contribute meaningfully we are there to repel and disarm the M23 so far so good we are not claiming any victory yet but the result is all there to see we have the best snipers boost about even the link from your country atest to that“They are as tough as nails”noT me
Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by swankyvodamail: 6:19pm On Aug 30, 2013
chris365:

good to see you've toned the insults grin (i was tired of doing such)

1) Mali mission was not a UN mission but a west african mission Led by Nigeria. (AFISMA)

2) although France played the lead role, i posted a link where a senior Malian officer said Nigeria was involved in the offensive from day one(not UN supported)

3) we claim victory in Mali cos Nigeria without UN support fought and lead west africa(a whole region) in Mali. politically and militarily(AFISMA)

SANDF is only playing support role in DRC. cos every independent source calls it a UN mission Led. Not south african.

i also have my reasons to say it won't succeed.
why don't we be patient wait and see but earlier today I heard the M23 has called a unilateral seize fire just five days into the offensive after all is not easy to fight a well trained opponent and to rub pepper to injury to loose six of your commanders in a space of 20 mins
Foreign Affairs / Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by swankyvodamail: 6:07pm On Aug 30, 2013
chris365: you south africans can squeal all you want, fact still remains that this is not a south african led mission.

if this mission is successful (not that it will), who'll claim the victory? UN, Tanzania or south africa?

i need answers not insults please.
So Nigeria cannot claim the Mali mission thank you for insulting your fellow country man trueth has final come out

Tanzania leads South Africa into battle in Congo DRC...helping the weaker brother

following the defeat of south african army in the hands of illiterate Seleka rebel fighters, Tanzanian army, a more capable and brave fighting force, is now leading, helping and protecting the more modern South African army in the Congo DRC fighting.

this will ensure that the south africans do not suffer another military defeat from rebels, and also the courage of the Tanzanian soldiers will cover up the fear of battle and death which prevented the south african army from returning to CAR and engage Seleka rebels in any further combat.

" It's the Tanzanian and South African (United Nations) troops that are on the frontline. It's them that we see first," he said."

http://www.wral.com/un-helicopters-fire-on-m23-rebels-in-east-congo/12825320/

after training for combat with China's army, Tanzanian army promises to save their weaker South African army brothers in Congo war

Does it matter who. Is leading what is important is that our sons, daughters are at DRC saving lives and fighting the M23 where is your boys? You like to chest beat like a chimpanzee and make noise nothing else for your info our boys and girls are in it for the longhaul no chest beating monkey.

And to add the SAAF is one of the oldest airforce in the world that means when WW2 started we had already seasoned pilots
