Sorry. |
Excellent. Okorochas should go to hell. Since the north and the west have rejected the PDP and the SS/SE are the only strongholds of the party, we should forge ahead with them. Nothing spoil. Resource control is the way forward. |
Every one knows. Goodluck Jonathan caused this nonsense. That man is just annoying |
Oba Rilwan Akiolu is a retired police officer. He might be HIV positive. |
Fashola, if you're honest to yourself, you would admit that the progress Lagos state has made under an APC government over the last 16 years has been very abysmal. If you're even more honest, you will agree that your political godfather will cease this golden opportunity he has gained by finally having his reins in the federal government to further amass wealth far beyond his imagination. If you're also honest, you will also admit that it was under a PDP led federal government that Lagos was more capable to generate higher revenues internally because of the growth of Nigeria's economy. Whenever the economy of Nigeria appreciates, it affects Lagos more than any other state in Nigeria. Mr Fashola, you're playing the blame game to cover up your deficiencies and inefficiencies. Lagos also needs change. |
Enough of the madness abeg. I be Igbo boy but lets be truthful and honest, if those useless political jobbers and beggars called Eze Ndigbo didn't pay a courtesy visit to the fooolish Oba, the Oba wouldn't have seen anyone to vent his anger on and this whole furor and tension would never had occurred. |
Why should Lagos be dependent on having a president from the ruling party? Should that be a reason for voting the APC even if it is obvious that there other parties with better candidates? Why are we playing politics with our underdevelopment? |
tpacalipse:Does the minister of Finance run the economy? |
Wsdm:Did Tambuwal not jump the fence last year? |
Wsdm:Let's not kid ourselves. 90 percent of Nigerian politicians are touts. If a speaker of the federal republic of Nigeria and his fellow "honorable members" can flout security directives and jump fences illegally, then 90 percent of Nigerian politicians are touts. |
henchamb:Your papa |
This man na pure tout. |
Mumu no good at all. |
Fully in support. |
midolian:Not really but it is very unfortunate that the person who will be president of the biggest economy in Africa will be determined by mostly illiterates. |
EmoBoy:Most states the highest literacy rates voted for PDP, that negates and nullifies the lagos result. |
Obey O, Obey O, Obey! Amaechi must obey wike, obey! |
401kk:Yes. I need reasonable answers |
Can it be argued that 1. About 70 percent of the voters who cast their votes for the APC were illiterate. 2. The votes the PDP received from illiterate states where from the minority literate voters? 3. If the voters where more educated, the PDP would have won the election? More Questions: Why were the most illiterate states drawn to the candidate of the APC (General Buhari)? Why where majority of the most literate states drawn to the candidate of the PDP (Pres. Goodluck Jonathan? I need more spins and reasonable questions from the statistics. . . Let the contributions begin |
Rather than look at this election from a tribal or political perspective and accuse geo-political zones of voting a presidential candidate for tribal or religious reasons, let us analyze the election results from a different and much more educative perspective. Let us compare how educated or literate people voted against less educated or illiterate people. For us to achieve this objective, we would have to look at literacy rates across all Nigerian states and how these states voted. The literacy statistics and data used were from the NMEC (National Mass Education Commission) and the document is hosted on UNESCO’s website. They’re also the most recent I could find (2011). http://www.unesco.org/new/fileadmin/MULTIMEDIA/HQ/ED/pdf/Nigeria.pdf Let's begin. APC won in 21 states Only 5 of them have literacy rates above fifty percent. (Ogun, Osun, Lagos, Oyo, Ondo) 16 of the remaining states that voted for the APC have literacy rates below fifty percent. 90 percent of the states where the APC won with by over 70 percent had literacy rates below 40 percent - Zamfara, Yobe, Sokoto, Niger, Kebbi, Katsina, Kaduna, Gombe, Borno, Bauchi, Jigawa. The sum total of votes the APC had from states with literacy rates below 50 percent was 9,985,528 The sum total of votes the APC had from states with literacy rates below 40 percent was 8,607,706 The total number of votes the APC had from states with literacy rates above fifty percent was 2,987,961 The PDP won in 16 states plus the FCT 12 of the states have literacy rates above 50 percent 10 of the states have literacy rates above 60 percent. The total number of votes the PDP received from states with over fifty percent literacy rate was 8,871,373 while they received 3,766,010 from states with literacy rates below fifty percent. https://s23.postimg.org/50lb7qc17/Elections_and_Education.jpg |
The Lioness herself! Mummy we love you!! Amaechi must obey this Saturday. |
I can see one them drawing Buhari. #Quote me and die of cancer. |
APC is a scam. Only an ignorant gullible baboon will believe that APC has anything positive to offer this country. All APC supporters know that key leaders of the party are as corrupt as hell. For instance, they all know that Tinubu is corrupt but they expect him to offer positive change. Its just nonsense. |
Amaechi about to hear it. |
kelaG:Ma broda no vex. I no sabi book. |
I'm tired of this whole story of Yorubas telling Igbos that they're a good host to Igbos. What the hell is that supposed to mean? |
Politicians caused this. |
HirstMOG:Thanks. I didn't see that |
So? What I should do with this information? |
