FamilyRe: 8 Days To End 2022 What Are You Grateful To God For This Year. by Sweetmaama(m): 11:24pm On Dec 20, 2022
Wow! 2022 has been a year of struggle for my family and i. I thank God for the days we had food to eat and also the days we went to bed hungry. Above all, i appreciate God for good health. Though lots of debts have been incured in the course of running this year, but i God will make a way.
My kids are already expecting a wonderful christmas which i know is dicey, but i believe something good will happen.

So I got these phones weekend. A gift from a friend.
She asked me to choose between an iPhone 13 pro and a Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra. I don’t have an issue deciding because I’m not going to use it.
I want to give it as a gift to another friend who had asked me for a phone sometime last year. I told her I will get her a phone whenever I’m able to get one. These friends of mine know each other, and had a slight altercation last year. It’s a minor issue and just a matter of who will make the first move.
When I told my guy about who I’m giving the phone, he said it was a bad idea. He said if A founds out she will not be happy with my decision. I think otherwise.

What do you think? Does it really matter who I give a gift to?
Thank you for getting back to me sir. The problem i have today is food oo. Please in any way you can, assist me with a token.

Reason I do encourage some who intend to come over to look into doing their Msc in Psychology even without an undergraduate degree in psychology as it gives them more opportunities during study and after graduation.
What are the opportunies for one who studied Bsc. psychology in Nigeria and also come over for Msc. psychology?

Yes, on several occasions.

The biggest of them all was when my mum had a ghastly road accident few years ago. I received a call that fateful day and I rushed down to the scene but they've taken her to a nearby hospital. I saw blood spilled everywhere and I almost gave up thinking she won't survive it.

When I got to the hospital my siblings were crying but something in me was telling me to be strong that she would make it. Her leg was broken, she later regained consciousness and was crying telling us she won't be able to walk again. I assured her that she would walk again even though I was kinda scared considering the damage on the leg.

To cut a long story short, her leg wasn't amputated because God intervened...... She's walking perfectly as usual without limping or any sign of deformity. You won't even believe she once had a serious accident.
God is able. I believe my helper will locate me soonest.

Yes. The secret is never give up hope, pray always and have that in mind that whatever you are passing through you are not the first and definitely not the worst hit of such condition. And believe that there are no conditions on earth that are above God Almighty. Don't allow the times you are in control you rather let God steer you.
Thanks for the word of encouragement. I believe my helper will locate soonest.

Oh Lord have mercy on me and family!

Don't give up brother...

But you see this word 'Networking'? It is very important, it is one of the things that will make way for many people in life. Show me your friend(s) and I will tell you who you are.

To succeed in life, you need to build network of people, make friends with reasonable people, people with potentials, when you are down, they will lift you up. They will connect you to opportunities..

Igbo adage "Onye nwere nmadu ka onye nwere ego". Go figure it out!
Hmmm. Friends now see me as a pest, avoiding my calls

I have been awake, thinking and looking at my kids and wife, how we have been struggling to stay. Eating yesterday was by begging. No toothpaste, bathing soap, even soap to wash their uniforms to school which i know they will be sent home due to unpaid fee is unavailable. Feeding today is in the hands of God.
People have deserted me. I am a teacher, i tried starting a small school, but no help came after many promises. Honestly, my faith is getting weaker.
Please i need prayers, support, anything that can brighten me. I believe there is light at the end of the tunnel of life.

Doubting God is a choice. But know that hard times will pass and if you have no faith, it means when you have resources, you won't remember God.
Every person who succeeded did so after hard time. If they have believe God was fake, they would have failed
Thanks.

Life is really hard. Right now i'm awake looking at my 2 kids and wife. We were able to eat the only meal by begging. Lord have mercy, i know i'm not lazy. It just that my salary is very poor. By Monday they will be sent back home due to unpaid fees. I don't want to give up but i'm depressed. I have prayed but no response, i'm even doubting God right now. Even if i'm a sinner, should my children go hungry? I'm owing debt here and there, can't walk freely.

If you're a significant shareholder in a Nigerian bank you will never support the bank financing start-up businesses with its money.

Any loan a bank lends to a start-up business in Nigeria will most likely go bad and be written off which will reduce the bank's profit and thus also reduce the amount available for distribution to shareholders as dividends!

Banks are not charitable organisations, they're in business to make money and no sensible bank will give out a loan it knows will most likely go bad
Thanks for the enlightenment.

You should not be relocating with your family, you move to Lagos alone while they stay behind till you stabilize.

I don't know if the building is partitioned into flats or it is a a face-me-I-face-you, whichever you have to issue quit notice to tenant(s) presently living in the space that would serve you as your living quarter ( a room for now) and the remaining space for the tutorial centre and give other tenants quit notice as you expand.

You already have the most critical thing, which is the building, so you have to be resourceful as reality is that banks would not financing you at this stage and loan apps, a very frightful option.
Thanks for your advice, I really appreciate you @ mindlog. I have already given all the tenants quit notice, to move by end of July leaving only one in order for the building not to be totally empty. Rent long overdue in Rivers state. That's the reason why I want to relocate with my family. We will be managing a room in the building when we get to Lagos and as the business expands, we will get another accommodation. No matter what I need to do, I still need fund.

If you are in a position to help invest, I'd be glad. With this experience and age, I cannot be a bad investment.

Baba you even have a building. What is wrong with you now? My brother go and buy white board with plenty marker. Gather wooden benches from neighbours. Start with subjects you know you are competent in and start teaching for free. Also meet friends and colleagues to help out in their own subject areas. You don't have to pay them. Just strike a deal with them. I won't talk much on that. You have to be rugged. Print adverts and paste everywhere. Become a nuisance with your advert after all those bastard politicians do same with their billboards. Baba you go see patronage you go run self. This life no balance oh. Me I'm looking for space to run a small business while some have it but don't know how to use it.
Thanks for the advice, all you said still have to do with funds. Remember, I live in Rivers state. Relocating is like starting all over and I have away from Lagos state for long years ago. I do not have friends there.

I will suggest you start out as a tutorial centre for those preparing for WAEC and JAMB, likewise after school classes for those in J S.S 1-S S.2.
Thanks for the advice. I also taught about that, but it's still about getting a loan to get things like furniture, teaching aids and other things.

Hello Naira landers, I need help, assistance, advice etc that can enable me actualize my dream of owning a nursery and primary school.

I am a 42 year old man married with two kids. I have been a private school teacher for 12 years in Rivers state with nothing to show. My kid sister and I inherited a building in Lagos state from my dad after his death. We decided to put tenants in the building in order not to leave the building empty.

Surprisingly, I was called last year by one of the tenants that the power company disconnected their wire and went away with it. It was discovered later that my father bypassed the prepaid meter with a debt running to #500000. Although I was able to pay #170000 to the power company from the rent they paid, promised to pay the outstanding and the wire was released to them. Leaving me with an outstanding debt of #330000 till date.

After critical thinking, I called my sister that the best way for me is to turn the building to a school. I have been to banks but I was told they do not finance start up except existing business.

I have asked family and friends, the only person willing to assist me is abroad but he has a challenge of financing a sudden funeral amounting to over $20000 and will not be able to assist me, but I'm looking at commencing the school by the next academic session by September. I will also like to create awareness by starting with free coaching by August. I just want to start small and grow from there.

Please I know that there are well meaning people on this platform. Please I need a small loan with a moratorium of six to seven months. Please help me leave this miserable life of feeding from hand to mouth.
