Hello everyone,pls i need your contribution and suggestions,i want to secure an apartment b4 i apply for my visa,(NB,i plan going with my family) i dnt want to giv the eco any room to think i am nt a geniune student(cos of the last refusal i had in sept) dts y i dnt wana go with airbnb,i have contacted some agents and did online viewing,so the one i wanna go for requested for a letter of sponsorship or a guarantor b4 i can mak payment or sign any agreemnt,i reached out to my school bt doesnt av any offer as it is nt a school accomodation,pls wat do u think i shd do.

I used sterlin lastweek,it was processed and acknowledged by school same day@#512,and payed 15k charges

Wema is fast though, but they used dollars for me at normal bank rate(386) or so with little extra charges. 7 working days.

I will also like to know if the adress on the tb certificate matters,i have a different school adress on my tb cert.and when i ask the immigration team of the new school i plan attending in jan,said it doesnt matter as long as it isnt over 6months.pls if you think otherwise kindly let me know.

I just checked the official guidance and different documents online relating to TB certificate but couldnt find any information regarding the applicants address.

So in this case I cant say of it used for anything or if it has to match. ....

Yes i got a response from them early than i imagined,not successful though,just gav it a shot ,i plan applying again for january intake.

Sorry about the refusal,talkin of the time frame for AR,i'll say it doesnt take long like before as i applied for administrativ review last two weeks and got response in 9 working days.

What if the next case worker can’t reach me again? I’m thinking of the AR so that we can address the phone call issue once and for all.

I'll suggest you do as @Oggg advice,this is close to the situation that led to my refusal yesterday,its better to withdraw the application and loose app fee than have another refusal on your profile

For me sha, she shud send email to them & withdraw the application sharp sharp.
It will be found out what she filled on her previous forms, no need to smear her application. They hate lies or attempt to lie which is equal to deception. Withdraw application now plss oo. Send email o. Visa fees would be lost.

Your current CAS has been rendered invalid as of now so your decision to try other schools for January intake or wait for the next available intake of the current school is up to you.

You can pm mimilyrics from the "send email message..." link on her profile , you can access her profile by clicking on her name. She could just as well pm you and y'all can take it from there.

You can do it by yourself. In my experience, it was a hand delivered letter to the Deputy High Commission in Lagos and it addressed the issues raised in the refusal notice. Their response was that I should reapply and address the issues raised in the refusal. I could draft the letter for you, but I'm busy with online lectures at the moment and as well a bit tensed up about the status of my own application. @mimilyrics is usually very resourceful in assisting with these sort of issues gratuitously. You may wish to send her a pm.

In the meantime, as the administrative review might take time, while it is is ongoing, you can plan to repackage and reapply in January but you will have to address all these issues.

Don't be discouraged, the UKVI cannot visit the "offense" of your sister on you, neither can they punish you for it by denying you a visa strictly on that ground. Just try again but make sure you address everything thoroughly next time. I've been there, howbeit for a visit visa, and I have received multiple visit visas afterwards. Just be thankful it wasn't a ban and try again.

Thank you for this,if i want to start a jan intake can i use the admissions from other schools or i apply afresh cos my school now does not have jan start and pls how do i address the issue of my sis date of birth that doesnt tally with what i said

This will be a tough one to overturn though you can always try to appeal to the ECM's discretionary capabilities by conveying how this was just a honest mistake. My reasons (from an ECO point of view) for this are
1. You stated that you chose Manchester so you could be close to family when you had said that you had no family. You knew fully well that you had family in the UK and chose to stay in Manchester because of them. So who are the family members outside your sister that made you choose Manchester since you didn't mention them? This is a discrepancy difficult to overlook.

2. The suspicion that your sister is in the UK illegally is enough for the ECO to think that you are just using the student visa as a way to get to move to the UK by hook or crook. If you had included an explanation that you had a sister in the UK but that you don't know if she's still there because you lost touch many years ago, it might have helped.

Except you have reasons strong enough to tackle the points listed, the admin review might not upturn the refusal. And since you weren't refused under paragraph 320, you can still make an application at a later time but please address the reasons you were refused here on subsequent applications.

Can i do the administrative review by myself or i'll need a solicitor

A different ECM will look into your case and make decision, this letter is not about you claiming to be right or trying to defend your decision not to declare your sister in your application. You will be writing to explain why you made the mistake and plead for reconsideration of your application.

Good. It is not a ground for a ban. You can apply for administrative review or re-apply subsequently

I dont know how you missed this because when I helped my BIL earlier this year we could see the part to add family members.

Let all try to fill any application as honest as possible because you never know when later it becomes a problem and impacts others . Short term it might not be a problem but what of in the future

I was just refused a tier 4 visa(inclusive of my hubby and 2kids),reason being that i dint declare i have a sibling in the uk(of which i told my school during preCAS interviee that i av a sister.i dint put on d application that i hav a sister,not because i want to lie but because siblings wasnt specified under family members in the uk.so during my visa interview on tuesday i told them i will be quarantinig in manchester in an airbndb apartment(but my school is in sheffield),when askd y i said cos my sis is there and want to quarantine where i knw somone and afterward move to the accomodation i booked in sheffield,i was asked y i dint fill i av a sister told her i dint knw of which i later gav her her name and date of birth.i later got to know my sis used another name and a diff date of birth to wat i told d consular,though she left so many years ago as an illegal immigrant but she hav her papers already.i am really sad,i was truthful in all bt it has cause me a refusal,what should i do pls?
