I'm sad for Nigeria. This is a man that OBJ has under his thumb. Wait till he appoints his ministers and see the likes of Iyabo Obasanjo, Akala, Orgy Kalu etc. He might even bail Ibori out of prison to come and take a position. This country never learns. they blow every chance to correct their wrong ways but yet, it's back to square one.

PoliticsRe: Presidential Election, 16th April, 2011 by SweetT1: 4:55pm On Apr 17, 2011
I mean seriously?? C'mmon! How in the hell did PDP get 1 million votes in Abia and Anambra states? You mean to tell me that an Ibo man will leave his Okrika  clothes and fake goods shop to go line up for hours just to vote? Hard for me to believe that, unless an Ibo man he's being compensated for it i don't believe it. And by the way there are not up to 1 million adult age Ibo guys left in all of East combined, they have all relocated to Lagos to sell Okrika clothes and fake goods. INEC c'mmon, let's be real here.

For the guys posting fake results. can you please stop for the sake of fairness. This is Nigeria we are talking about here, most of us are concerned and that's why we are eager for real results. Please stop the fake results.
PoliticsRe: Presidential Election, 16th April, 2011 by SweetT1: 10:30pm On Apr 16, 2011
Nigeria can never prosper or be regarded as an honest Country until the things coming out of Igbo areas are set right. Nothing truthful has yet to come out of these areas and this is one of the reason Nigeria is a pariah.

In the North, most of these LG and especially their villages, you find out that they are not as populated as these results are been posted here on NL. So where are these figures coming from?

I served in the north and getting to some of their villages, you barely see pple.

I keep wondering o!!!!!!!! Except Goat and Cattles including Camels they vote too
The people in those areas only come out on election day or when all other parts of Nigeria is asleep. Go figure! grin
PoliticsRe: Presidential Election, 16th April, 2011 by SweetT1: 10:19pm On Apr 16, 2011
May be you jokers haven't figured it out yet, let me break it down to you softly. If it sounds like a DUCK, walks like a DUCK, Looks like a DUCK, It's definitely a DUCK! The number of voters in the North is almost as twice as the number of voters in the whole south. Gen. Buhari has won this election!

Akainzo:
The electoral act is clear, to be declared as President, the candidate needs to fulfil TWO conditions
1. Win the Popular Votes (i.e. has the majority votes across the nation)
2. Win 25% of votes in 2/3 of the states.
In that case, going by these numbers. Buhari will be the next President of Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Presidential Election, 16th April, 2011 by SweetT1: 9:10pm On Apr 16, 2011
I'm very suspicious of the numbers being posted on NL.
PoliticsRe: Presidential Election, 16th April, 2011 by SweetT1: 9:06pm On Apr 16, 2011
I think the alliance talk may have hurt Ribadu a bit. So what happens if Buhari wins the north, GEJ wins the south and the middle was split?
PoliticsRe: Presidential Election, 16th April, 2011 by SweetT1: 8:56pm On Apr 16, 2011
This election is very much ethnically motivated. Nigeria has not evolved past ethnicity. If i could vote, i would have voted for Buhari. That's the only one that can get the job done, atleast in the areas of corruption.

Losing, not loosing
Dude thanks for that correction, i see so many Nigerians use "Loosing" instead of "Losing". I wonder where they get that from?

Under which Government?? Jonathan will not win if that's what Agbaya is thinking. And under Buhari, she and her Daddy will be sharing a prison cell.
Foreign AffairsRe: Breaking News: Gbagbo Arrested. by SweetT1: 5:34pm On Apr 11, 2011
I don't like how they are showing Gbagbo On the TV. West has an habit of embarrassing African leaders at the slightest Opportunity they get. I don't like this at all.

CNN) -- The self-declared president of the Ivory Coast, Laurent Gbagbo, was arrested Monday, the French Embassy in that country said.

Security forces of the Ivory Coast arrested him, the embassy said.

A Gbagbo adviser, Ahoua Don Mello, said earlier that the French military had stormed Gbagbo's residence.

Gbagbo's refusal to cede power triggered a political crisis in the West African nation.
Is that image for real??
Foreign AffairsRe: Breaking News: Gbagbo Arrested. by SweetT1: 3:18pm On Apr 11, 2011
EzeUche:
The French probably played some role in his capture. You would be a fool to think otherwise.

Sometimes I wonder about my African brethren.
I see your point and i know where you are going with it and i'm with you on it. But we have not yet heard the true story yet, so let's wait and see. But i'm glad the animal was captured. I mean what is it with African leaders?? Don't they know the glory in doing your time and leaving with grace? Where do they want to die in office?
