Dual Core:No probs, dual core I think its more of their (ebay/paypal) headache though. Scammers are all over the world. |
oluwafemi113:@ Dual core, Thanks for the info you posted. I went all the wayfor verification AND you'll still get stuck. The address fields only allow US and (perhaps) some other overseas banks -NOT NIGERIA. As for pay pal , don't even imagine it. |
To me, this makes little diffrerence since paypal is still "blocking off" Nigeria. As far as I'm concerned, no paypal no ebay! Or perhaps, there will evolve some sort of 9ja to 9ja ebay transactions?!? |
texazzpete:@texazzpete: you can mail me on loveblast@ymail.com; we'll discuss further. @ all: The offer is still standing. |
erico2k2:@ erico2k2, I agree that ISPs abroad are well and truly much more reliable; for a naija resident, a few questions though (please note that I intend to use this in Nigeria): How can I get a similar plan from the US? Must I get a T-mobile phone, or can I just get the sim? How? what are your typical speeds? Anything I need to know per activation? If this is as you say I think its worth a try. |
amor4ce:Per your oracle, go to the website and download Navicat. I think that should help. On conspiracy, I don't know of that. But if there is, I think it goes to show that the competition are admitting that mac is stronger, for you only conspire against that which you percieve to be stronger. Well, conspiracy or not, its only a matter of time before they admit 'technological superiority' of mac os. good luck with your videos. and please cut windows some slack, after all its not like its leprosy - yet (lol). |
You can call 08055190014 for more details. |
amor4ce:Underutilised? Well, I think you've not even scratched the surface! Per your vidoes, don't bother about software; I may suggest you connect your camera directly - preferrably with a fire wire, if you have one- that should launch iMovie/iPhoto automatically (depending on your prefences); mac comes with a lot of in-built softwares, especially for the latest Canon products. Or, just remove the memory card from the canon and connect to your mac via an appropriate adapter/cable. You can also visit the apple website for apple approved third party softwares that can help you. A last resort would be loading windows via boot camp, then installing your software on the windows side. |
Stiil available! |
tboy1:@ tboy, I use a mac myself and like candylips said, I have no issues with my airport. Have you tried updating your version? It could fix such problems. There is now 10.5.7 download it at their website (support section). Mac is not all that 3rd party solution friendly, you know. |
Yes, spotlight searching is just fantastic; I'm looking for something - anything, I just put ANY PART of what I'm looking for and Swoosh! it there. no nee for file name and locations and blah blah. |
I currently use windows vista on my laptop, Mac OS X on my desktop, with Ubuntu installed on it. In my own opinion, Mac OS is still the best of the three. |
@ thiefofhearts, this is a macbook obviously. But your point is , ? |
Correct. I have had similar experiences before with a network printer. Again, what was I ever doing with windows all these years? |
I'm sure that won't be the only thing you use it for. Mac is such a powerful machine that even the 'complicated' tasks in MS OS becomes a child's play in Mac. I even read on pcworld.com that mac has topped the other PCs in sales in the US (that tells you something). More and more are floking to mac after a disappointing vista experience. When I talk to my friends about this huge difference, they don't believe me; then I give them a simple demo, and they all go 'wow', I hope that very soon many more Nigerians will be saying the 'wow'. |
Uh-oh. Happens sometimes. No probs; I think this shoud be sold off very soon. ![]() |
That is one sweet piece of sowftware you got there, task it to the full !! |
Thanks. |
Expensive only on the short term. When I consider the fact that I don't have to worry my head updating antiviruses all the time, freezing now and again, etc AND I can even run two OS on the same system (check that out!!). Why, I think its quite economical. Besides, Apple offers lots of budget options. Well, I'm using a mac mini for now (felt like dumping my windows in the Atlantic 1 week after I got the mac!). Bought it just to play safe cuz at first I found it difficult to believe that Mac could do all what Apple claimed it does. Now I'm convinced beyond all reasonable doubts. Planning to get a Macbook or an iMac next month. Mac rocks. |
Good, Candylips. Using a mac is so intuitive that even when you work, its a breeze. Not to mention its play (i e entertainment) part. I'm amazed how few people in Nigeria know about Mac. |

@ adesh4real, I wouldn't call myself that. check my email in my earlier posts. Mac OS really rocks! |
No, I used spaces; If you've got a mac, go to system preferences , desktop and screensaver , you'll see spaces. you may also activate it using 'hot corners' or pin it to your tray, as I did mine. It comes in handy if you dont want your screen looking clogged with different apps. |
flyuche:I have been using mac (recently updated to version 10.5.6) for a while now, and I can confidently say its a far better OS, in my own opinion @ flyuche, your answer attached. this is a 'spaces' screen shot from my mac. @ candylips, Apple does not ship their products to Nigeria @ marktwain/hustla: I can be of help if you are interested; mail me: loveblast@ymail.com I wonder what I've been doing with windows all this while.
