OBJ is working against PMB but his son is working for PMB. Sen. Obanikoro who once worked for Fayose is testifying against him in court while his son is contesting under APC in Lagos. Atiku was once a ranking member of APC and friends with PMB and now his top opponent. Saraki led the group of Governors that pulled the carpet under GEJ’s feet when they ported to APC but now back to PDP. Akpabio who swore to die for PDP is now ready to kill and die for APC. Dokpesi’s AIT which was used to fight PMB in 2015 just gave him an award as Best African President or something like that. Shortly after 2015 election, most of the leading combatants of PDP and APC converged in Benin for Oshiomole’s fairytale wedding. Yinka Odumakin who authored a book against OBJ for supporting PMB now works for him against PMB. Peter Obi who swore he’s live and die in APGA is now VP candidate of PDP. Bode George who was jailed by OBJ is now his political ally while his wife is the boss at NDLEA. OBJ who wrote a book seeking to bury Atiku politically is now his advocate. Wike, who was once Rotimi Amaechi’s CoS is now his strongest political enemy in the open-and may be his friend in private. I can go and on, but let me stop because I believe you get my drift. So, as you propose and oppose, attack and defend, promote and challenge, praise and castigate the candidates, politicians and their political parties, remember there’s life after elections. The politicians, winners and losers alike, will move on and realign themselves as they seek to share the levers of power among themselves. Be careful so you do NOT make new enemies (we all have enemies at every point) or damage long-standing friendships because of politics. Politics is a profession and an industry. Those who play on that turf know the rules and the tricks of the game. As Americans say, if you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. So, leave the game for the professionals to play and just watch and make your comments. Like good Arsenal and Chelsea fans, watch the game, root and pray (if you wish) for your team, and drink beer together or Green Tea, as my brother Gbenga Aruleba did last Saturday (and does whenever Saturday happens, if you know what I mean). May Nigeria succeed! |
See what a bus driver acted in Begger round about, Abuja to escape Police arrest. Police pursued him from unknown destination to Begger and as he couldn't run again because of the heavy traffic, he pulled up on a corner. He immediately came out of his hehicle and wanted to run but the police men gave him a Chase and was able to catch him. They dragged him to his vehicle, collected his car key and wanted to drive his bus away but this man did this.... See the picture....

While some supporters have switched from election mode to a patriotic civic mode, examining the president’s actions and inactions and highlighting dramatic departures from his advertised election platforms, others have persisted in publicly defending the president while inwardly nursing their disappointment at some of his actions. It is as though they are at war with themselves as their two contradictory impulses wrestle for attention and expression. Publicly, they support everything the president does. They do not want to be seen as disowning a president they fervently worked to get elected, but they cannot shut off the mounting evidence of broken promises, of sensible roads not taken, and of self-inflicted injuries reminiscent of the tone-deafness of the Jonathan era. Most of these uncritical supporters and defenders of the president suffer from post-decision cognitive dissonance. They hold two mutually exclusive positions (inner doubt about the outcome of the decision to support and venerate Buhari on the one hand, and vigorous public defense of the president as infallible on the other). They should know that this is a self-created problem. There is absolutely no need to trap oneself in this condition. Decisions are not articles of faith that command unconditional fidelity unmoored to evolving realities. Decisions are made in the moment, given the information available, in the context of the choices on offer, and without the ability to discern the outcomes of those decisions. In March 2015, the correct decision was to elect Buhari to replace a failed Jonathan administration whose profligacy threatened the very survival of the country. It is not a decision that immunizes Buhari from critical engagement. It does not call for regret or counterproductive, face-saving posturing. Even those who voted in the other direction could not have predicted how things would unfold. The decision should not therefore induce regret, especially if the regret dulls one's vigilance and capacity to critique those one voted into power. Regarding that decision as some sort of binding sacred obligation not to criticize, reevaluate, correct, or modify one's view of the subject of that decision is to imprison oneself in a psychological condition of post-decision cognitive dissonance. It is to detain oneself in a time warp that denies the dynamism of politics and the innate fluidity of human character, of which the president is not immune. What's more, post-decision cognitive dissonance leads to illogicality, to unconvincing defenses, untenable rationalizations, and makes one an enabler of maladministration. It makes one abandon the sacred citizen obligation of speaking truth to power and holding leaders accountable |

Buhari the Junketer-in-Chief Buhari takes off again As if in a hurry to satisfy a compensatory urge of many years of deprivation, President Muhammadu Buhari has in just nine months of assuming office travelled to no less than 24 countries, perhaps in search of “global ratification” of his government. But before delving into this in details, first, the trips at a glance. 1) Niger Republic (May 2015). 2) CHAD (June 2015). 3) Germany (June 2015). 4) South Africa (June 2015). 5) United Kingdom (May 2015). 6) USA (July 2015). 7) Benin Republic (August 2015). France (September 2015).9) Ghana (September 2015). 10) India (October 2015). 11) Sudan (October 2015). 12) Iran (November 2015). 13) France (November 2015). 14) USA (November 2015). 15) South Africa (December 2015). 16) Benin Rep. (December 2015). 17) UAE (January 2016). 18) Kenya (January 2016). 19) Ethiopia (January 2016). 20) France (February 2016). 21) Utd. Kingdom (February 2016). 22) Egypt (February 2016). 23) Saudi Arabia (February 2016). 24) Qatar (February 2016). The status of this list is not static and therefore, may not be current as you read through because the president might have updated it by leaving a particular location for another. Arguably, the job prescription of the president allows for such trips, certainly not when it has become a pastime of sort. But without demanding for returns on the trips as Nigerians are wont to do now in the light of the present economic realities, Buhari’s trips appear to have translated into nothing for the people, not to talk of the cost of his trips, which has equally become a subject of political debate. Besides, some of the trips are so indefensible that you can’t but ponder what a president of his stature is doing, for instance, at an ordinary “business roundtable”, when he could have detailed his aides/ministers/SGF or anyone else to do that? Really, is it that bad? Perhaps, former president Goodluck Jonathan was right, when he said during the electioneering that, “The choice before Nigerians in the coming elections is simple: a choice between going forward or going backwards; between the new ways and the old ways; between freedom and repression; between a record of visible achievements and beneficial reforms-and desperate power-seekers with empty promises”? Well, the change idea was sold to Nigerians and they bought into it with their eyes wide open. They were neither bewitched nor hypnotised. Whether it is now termed “one chance” or double blessings, the reality is that this government will be one in May and right there and then, the real assessment/critique will begin on the basis of what he’s been able to record against his name. President Buhari, be prepared. |
[s][/s] 1. ....there....(take note all the money took out of CBN during jonathan regime were changed in parallel market before ditributed) you have other opinion? recall Dasuki is being prosecuted for misappropriating $2.1b, not ₦... About ₦2.7T making 43% of the budget will be borrow. Kindly explain to us in clear terms how you would fund your ₦1 quadrillion 2017 budget or are you talking just like lei muh'd 3. ....Nigeria is bless with oil and (LFR) looted fund reserve... Oil is presently selling @ $38 and this is not the first time we heard of recovery of looted fund. All the recovered loot from Abacha's family were are they?. Lamode (EFCC) recovered ₦1Trillion and diverted it to his pocket, what is the assurance that all these recoveries on paper will not end up... This is the time to work the talk, not lying and blaming GEJ |
I have stopped talking because only a compound fool will not notice that Buhari is a disaster waiting to happen You staked your integrity and promised to match the dollar to a naira, but close to 9 months into your leadership, the naira hits all time low and you are still blaming a man that handed over to you without going to court to distract you as you would have done. Buhari and the VP are not economist and every day they talk about reviving the economy. This is almost 9 months with no economic development policies or plans, no economic adviser, no economic team. That was why the budget was messed up because the kindergarten Financial Minister and her team thought budgets are about adding figures. So you add and pass it round, whoever it comes to his or her table adds their own. All round the world, once president's are pronounced 'elected' the first appointment they make is economic adviser and set up an economic team. Some even set up economic team while campaigns are on and use it to solicit for votes. Isn't it a pity that our society is so much filled with fake and pretentious intellectuals that follow politicians sheepishly and without pronouncing one basic strategic economic development statistics, we chorus their 'Change' mantra and tag along like sheep being Shepherded by dummies. Bill Clinton as a Democratic candidate set up his economic team and at the time of drastic drop in employment in US, he ran with a tag, 'Job's Stupid?' When he was elected president his first appointment was economic adviser, same with Obama. Down here, once Obasanjo was pronounced elected, his first appointment was economic adviser and setting up an economic team, same with Yaradua and Jonathan. Attaching funds to projects without a crack economic development policies backed by growth statistics designed by a crack economic team, supervised by a meticulous economist, is just what it is: blindly throwing money to projects hoping it will work. The reason why people are elected into offices and the sitting ones rejected is because the people expect new ideas, hope for the best and the elected to show the way forward. Not to come and be giving excuses. That the budget was prepared within 1 month because President Buhari who lacks sound and basic knowledge of budget planning requested for that. And that no one among his kitchen cabinet had the courage to explain the impossibility of his demand is a clear sign of danger. A nation is at the hold of dictatorship if the leader is feared so much by those around him that they cannot advice him rightly, even in the clear face of danger. The budget mess just revealed something far more dangerous than the criminal record in world budget padding it exposed. It showed that Buhari surrounded himself with rubber stamp officials. Cabinet members that chorus every thing the president said will lack the capacity and courage to come up with innovative ideas. Most sincere people that supported Buhari out of their sincere desire to see a better Nigeria are gradually getting tired of these excuses and blame game. They may not have the courage to step out and pronounce it because of being mocked by their social media friends that turned to enemies. But, deep down, they are hurting, burning and regretting. Buhari clearly has shown that he lacks the sound and basic knowledge of what it takes to revive the nation today. He should admit this basic fact that has shown face clearly and appoint an economic adviser and set up an economic team to help him handle economic matters. His greatest liability is his lack of trust on other Nigerians because he sees this as contracting the engine room of the government out and he's afraid what might happen behind him that might tarnish his name. But, this is the devil he must kiss if he's to salvage anything from the our economy that is rolling down the hill. I love social media, when I see all these clear signs and see people who claim to be intellectuals coming to give positive thoughts about this regime I just shake my head. You cannot build something on nothing. The members of the present Federal Executive Council as it is constituted does not have what it takes to revive our economy now and this is beyond politics. The economy is blind to political lining and it does not respect religion or ethnicity. For the interest of the nation, Buhari should look beyond his immediate political family and search for competent minds who are not ready to play politics, people who will look him direct in the face and tell him the truth, people who are ready to walk if he rejects their advise. Such honourable and highly recommended economic minds is what he needs urgently to secure his legacy that is fast eroding. People like Lia mohammad who lie about everything are doing him more harm than people like me who are criticizing him everyday. |

A French high-speed train that derailed on a test run Saturday, leaving at least 10 dead and 37 injured, had “several children” on board, the rail company said Sunday. “There were several children on board,” a spokesman for France’s state rail company SNCF said, a day after the first fatal accident since TGV trains were introduced more than 30 years ago. He added however that he was unable to say if any of the children were among those who died in the derailment in Eckwersheim, near the northeastern city of Strasbourg. “On the other hand, there are some among the injured,” he added, but said he couldn’t say if their injuries were serious. An investigation would establish the number of people on board the train and if there were passengers who were not authorised to be there, he said. SNCF chief Guillaume Pepy also told France Info radio that inquiries would shed light on exactly who the “accompanying people” were and how they came to be on board. “That’s not a practice that the SNCF recognises,” he said, stressing “a test train is a test train”. A team of 49 technicians and rail employees were on the train, which was travelling at around 350 kph (217 mph) on a high-speed line as part of testing for the next generation of TGV due to go into service in early 2016, a source close to the inquiry said. The train ended up in a canal. The accident is thought to have happened “because of excessive speed”, Dominique-Nicolas Jane, a senior official in the Alsace region, said on Saturday. The accident is the first fatal accident since the TGV (“train grande vitesse” or high-speed train) went into service in France in 1981. www.ngrguardiannews.com/2015/11/fatal-french-high-speed-test-train-had-children-on-board/ |
A 36-year-old man has undergone the world’s first successful head transplant. The groundbreaking operation took a team of surgeons 19 hours to complete and has allowed the patient to be cancer-free. Paul Horner, who was diagnosed with bone cancer five years ago, was on the verge of death when he was approved for the controversial and possibly deadly operation. Doctor Tom Downey, who was part of the South African team who carried out the operation, told CNN he is thrilled about the results. “It’s a massive breakthrough. We’ve proved that it can be done – we can give someone a brand new body that is just as good, or better, than their previous one. The success of this operation leads to infinite possibilities.” Surgeons at Charlotte Maxexe Johannesburg Academic Hospital in SA did the operation in February but had to wait until they could confirm it was successful before they made any public statement. Downey spoke to reporters on the complexity behind the first ever head transplant. “This procedure is another excellent example of how medical research, technical know-how and patient-centered care can be combined in the quest to relieve human suffering.” The operation was led by Professor Myron Danus and took place on February 10, 2015. “Our goal is for Horner to be fully functional in two years and so far we are very pleased by his rapid recovery,” said prof. Danus. He added, “Before the operation, Horner’s body was riddled with cancer and he had less than a month to live. We were fortunate enough to find a donor body; a 21-year-old man who has been brain dead from a serious car accident that happened in 2012. www.ngrguardiannews.com/2015/11/mans-head-cut-off-in-worlds-first-successful-head-transplant/ |
