It makes no sense that the two sisters who are the only two related persons in the world are not close.
It also does not make any sense that the age-gap btw the two sisters is that much (although it's not entirely impossible).

OP abeg find another lie, dis one no sweet
which one is lie now. maybe when I see d gal,I will ask her why she is not close with her sis. but u should know being close or not close ain't d issue. d gal is young and naive and was scared, and her sis might not even believe her . she might even say it was her seducing d husband, that kind thing.
FamilyPregnant For Her Sister's Husband by SWITANN(op): 3:26pm On Jun 27, 2016
hi everyone

A girl( name withheld) has been living with her sis who is happily married. She and her elder sis are orphans,so they have only each other and u know now( those wicked relatives just disappeared and left both of them). So the elder sis got married and the younger sis lived with the couple. To cut d story short, the husband was a perv. He would come to the younger sis room cos the elder sis was always busy and rape and threaten her not to tell her sis. This went on for quite some time until the girl couldn't take it anymore. she had just turned 18 and wasn't too naive anymore. One afternoon, the husband wanted to continue his usual molestation of his wife's sister. The younger sister had just found out that she was pregnant that morning and was pondering on what to do when her elder sister's husband walked in. She started begging him to stop, but he wouldn't listen. so she grabbed a stick and started beating d guy,the elder sister walked in on them and separated the two of them. She started asking what d problem was cos she couldn't understand why her husband and sister were fighting. The husband just walked away leaving the room, the younger sis was at a loss of word and didn't know how to explain to her sis. p.s:her & sis are not close,so her sis might not believe her.

what should she do?
FamilyRe: Ethnicity Difference: Should I Stay Or Just Move On Already?? by SWITANN(f): 1:16am On May 27, 2016

Hello fellow NLs, am at a cross road here....I have been dating this Igbo guy for over 5yrs now, am Yoruba tho but we both didn't see it as a barrier what matters to us is the love and connection between us.....he is well known by my family and accepted too but the problem is his parents...his brothers and sisters are indifferent about it...but his parents frowns against any of them marrying outside Igbo...his kid sis is over 30 and still single cos of this issue.

Wont I be treated like an outcast?? My kids?? Whose MIL or FIL doesn't show up for their son's wedding?? She won't show up for my 'omugwo'??

A part of me thinks I can handle the situation, but then another part is asking me to move on.

Words of advice pls....I really love this guy
IF you really love this guy and he also loves you,you guys can make it work. one thing about parents is that they love their children and want them to be happy. obviously they want the best for their son thats why they think an Igbo lady is suitable for him. you have to show them that you are more suitable than the igbo lady they prefer. if its to learn how to prepare those igbo delicacies they think their son will stop enjoying, prove them wrong. parents can be stubborn but you have to be more stubborn too but not disrespectful. i know many people that their parents are from different tribes, surely it wasn't easy for them to get their family approval but they made it work. if u really love this guy and he the same, you guy have to sit down and discuss deeply how to convince your parents. parents can prove stubborn but their hearts are not made of stone, they are human. you just have to made them understand, talk to them softly. it will take time but they'll surely change their mind

FamilyRe: How Relevant Is Bearing A Male Child In Today's World? by SWITANN(f): 3:37pm On May 23, 2016
Nice post. but mind you female children were not properties or liabilities in the past. the society and people's mindset made it seem so. then,a man was rich by the amount of male children he has. But now things have changed, and if its cos of carrying your father's name that makes a male child important. I know a lot of women that got married and still had their fathers name. i for one will do the same. in my eyes, male and female children are equal. so there is no special advantage in having a male child.
