•Did you know? A majority of graduates in Nigeria are getting jobs where they do not need a degree. •Most jobs advertised for graduates end up being taken by people with experience. •Who is going to hire someone with no experience when they can get someone who has it? •You can work so hard for your first degree and go out of your way to gain extra experience to make yourself more employable and still never land your degree-related job. - still be hopeful though. •You feel misled: As it was essentially drilled in to you that university was the only way to being successful - with hindsight, an apprenticeship or trade would have been a much better option. •Deep down you have these thoughts : Given my time again, I wouldn't bother going to university. The experience was amazing and the life skills have also proved valuable, but the degree is next to worthless. www.edondo.com/2015/08/my-degree-is-next-to-worthless |

•A man who raped a 14-year-old girl after getting her
"blind drunk" has been jailed for eight years. Richard Barrett, 46, from Elstree, initially said the teenager, from Bushey, had consented to sex at a film location in a Buckinghamshire field. He later pleaded guilty to two counts of rape. St Albans Crown Court heard he "took advantage of her sexually" after plying the girl with alcohol. Barrett was caught after his victim's mother read her diary. 'Sinister signs' She had written: "Richard. I hate you. You have ruined my life". The court heard Barrett, of Jubilee Walk, told the girl it would be their "little secret" after he raped her in a caravan at the film set where he worked as a security guard. He groomed the girl by giving her wine and vodka, asking her about her sex life and showing her pornography on his mobile phone. Judge Jonathan Carroll said Barrett had got his victim "blind drunk". He said she had been vulnerable and Barrett had shown "sinister signs of grooming". Barrett was placed on the sex offender register for life. www.edondo.com/2015/08/man-jailed-for-raping-blind-drunk-girl-on-film-set

•Police are investigating after a horse was stabbed
and sexually assaulted in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The incident happened near New Pitsligo. Blaze, a 23-year-old female pony, had to be put down following the incident. In a Facebook post, the horse's owner, Zoe Wright, said Blaze had been stabbed twice in the chest and "sexually violated". She has offered a £1,000 reward for anyone who provides information which leads to an arrest. Ms Wright, 30, urged other horse owners in the area to check their animals for suspicious cuts, and to contact the police if they see anything or anyone suspicious. She added: "My lovely Blaze was the nicest pony, she has been part of our family for 18 years. The complete low life scum who did this to her needs to face justice for what they have done." As reported bbc, Police Scotland confirmed it had received a report of the incident and was investigating. Officers appealed for any witnesses to contact them. Det Insp Norman Stevenson said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish what has happened to the horse but I would appeal directly to any neighbours or residents in the area who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious in the days before this happened. "As a result of this cruel act a horse has died and a family have now lost a much-loved animal. "We have not received any reports of similar incidents in the area but I would urge horse owners to check their animals regularly and report anything unusual to police." www.edondo.com/2015/08/horse-dies-after-sexual-assault |
Warri- CENTRE for the Vulnerable
and Underprivileged, CENTREP,
Warri, Delta State, weekend, faulted
the assertion by the Inspector
General of Police, Mr. Solomon
Arase, that lack of increase in the
funding of the Nigeria Police Force,
NPF, was the chief impediment to
effective policing nationwide. Executive director of the group, Mr. Oghenejabor Ikimi, in a statement, said the statement by Mr. Arase at the National Security Conference jointly organized by the NPF and the Sun Newspaper in Abuja was far from the truth. The group said, “The major obstacle to effective policing in the Nigeria State is the monstrous level of corruption presently ravaging the institution and not the level of funding per se.” Its words, “We posit that corruption has dealt a cruel blow to the police institution in Nigeria such that it has not only eroded professionalism but smeared its mage and prestige to the extent that an increase in funding without commensurate effort at checking the menace, will only transform the worsening level of corruption in the institution into a tsunami.” “We submit further that an increase funding of the Nigerian Police Force would not by any iota of imagination reduce corruption in the Force, as claimed by the police boss but would inflame the vice, hence our call on the police boss to furnish Nigerians with the measures he has put in place to check corruption in the Police Force. “This is because we are not oblivious of the fact that every police institution worldwide requires effective funding devoid of corruption ethics for effective policing,” the group asserted. CENTREP stated, “The call by the police boss on the National Assembly to pass into law the Police Trust Fund bill was a needless one, as we are all witnesses to a similar body that was set up under ex- President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration. www.vanguardngr.com/2015/08/why- our-police-are-failing-us/

Thousands of dead fish have been found stockpiled on the riverbank of the city of Tianjin, several kilometres from the site of last week's giant chemical blasts that killed more than 100 people and injured hundreds of others. Tianjin residents have blamed the government's negligence as the reason for the blast and are worried that the water is toxic and unsafe ; as Authorities confirmed that more than 700 tonnes of the deadly chemical sodium cyanide were stored at the Tianjin warehouse that blew up. Tianjin officials have said the mass fish deaths were caused by regular seasonal low oxygen levels in the water and have made efforts to calm suspicions of toxicity. www.edondo.com/2015/08/thousands-of-dead-fish-found-on-riverbank-after-chemical-blast

It seems the trend for celebrity females now is going braless. It wouldn't surprise me, if nigerian girls joined the trend, cuz anything goes for them. #ifuthinkiamlying check #pouting #selfie |
Fair girls are only attractive from a distance oh. Upclose their skin is just full of red spots and stuff. Skin irritations are clearly seen on fair girls and this makes them less sexier than dark girls. Do you agree or disagree? Everytime the question - what is the safest means of transportation?. Keeps ringing around my ears Some say by air, some by land and some by sea. Think about it, with the dangers we face travelling through the means mentioned above, it is teleporting or witchcraft, yes!! It is! Who go dey die? Nobody. U simply travel anywhere at any time u want. Factors like bad weather will never be a problem. But seriously, You will have to agree with me that teleportation (or disappearing and appearing) is the safest means of transportation. Its unfortunate that many we brand it as witchcraft. Teletransportation, is the theoretical transfer of matter or energy from one point to another without traversing the physical space between them. If and when it will be possible, it will be the safest means of transportation, without diabolic means ooh Source : http://www.edondo.com/2015/08/teleporting-is-the-safest-means-of-travelling |
This is not a new topic to your ears, except you were born yesterday. If u were, gerraoutta this post right now! Below are few reasons why he cheats with his secretary Availability: Busy managers may well spend more time in the company of their secretaries, than they do with their wives. He starts to get more comfortable and used to his secretary, that he starts seeing her as a more suitable partner. Position of superiority: A boss is in a position of authority over a secretary. He is telling her what to do all day, and she will follow his instructions. That is quite a turn-on for some men, who might well fantasize about taking that relationship out of the office and into the bedroom. Wives, in the main, don't like being told what to do but secretaries are used to it. Men are stupid like that! Jealousy: A marriage that is going through a sticky patch might give rise to a man imagining that if he could make his wife just a teeny bit jealous, she might become more accommodating to his wishes. Give her the impression that there is another potential sexual partner in his life who is in competition with her, and ... Like I said above, some men are stupid like that! Secretary praises and is submissive : At the office she is always telling him how good he looks, how much she liked his flowers, how handsome his eyes are, how smart he is. At home the wife is controlling and criticizes the way he does chores, the way he watches the kids, the way he works or pays the bills, the way he wants to relax, the way he dresses, the way he talks (or doesn't), the way he looks, the way he hugs or kisses her--guess what? Ok - you asked for it! Conquerors and explorers: Most men like to explore and conquer, this applies to their lust for women, even when they're married. They are greedy like that and never get satisfied. They just want to d**k every young female that crosses their path. Source: www.edondo.com/2015/08/why-he-cheats-with-his-secretary

I think if you are passionate about anything and you want to help people; entertain, inform, or educate them, then you should be a blogger. To be straight-to-the-point, as to not bore those that are bloggers already and for the benefit of those that do not know about it. As a blogger, you write and you post your write-ups with or without pictures, you could even do videos. Now, this is why I decided to write this piece. Below is what you need to have at the back of your mind to be a blogger and if you are a blogger and have missed them, its never too late. These are facts from successful bloggers. 1. It should not be about the money, but about the passion. 'Leave story for storytellers' right? Well frankly, you can become rich blogging. But you wouldn't last and will eventually give up, if the 'mulla' was what drove you into blogging. 2. Be yourself, it may be difficult competing with the big guns, so find your own unique voice. Tell the story, everyone loves a good story. Do this - think creatively instead of competitively. 3. Try to not make it ALL about you. That's if the blog is about you and things you do. Engage. If you want an audience, and then want to keep an audience, engage with them. This should show in your skill with words. I don't mean big words. Make a reader feel like he/she is in a room with you listening to what you are saying. Just try. 4. Never stop learning. There's always something new out there. Become well versed in multiple skill sets. Everything matters - experience, research skills, how to do this or that; bring in all as a blogger. 5. See eh, you can actually blog for very long years and only your family and a few friends will read or visit your blog. It could get to you, especially when you had hoped to start making money at some point from it, at least to pay for hosting na. I am a Nigerian and my sincere advice is, "try to lay your hands on a job that allows you time for your blog". 'Not so many', I know. But you must not blog everyday na. Simply, in some of your posts try to make your readers know the reason for the delays and how you are working hard to provide them with contents on your blog. That way if someone visits your blog for one, two days and no new content, the person won't say - "this blogger thinks owning a website is owning a facebook account". 6. Do not make mistakes in your posts, it just pisses readers off!!. 'You wan blind person? Nobody is chasing you, go through your post. A fellow writer may tolerate it, knowing the stress sometimes, but no reader will. In short, they will wonder who you want to enlighten with your 'see-and-go-blind'. Marry your dictionary and improve your vocabulary. Most of us do not know that 'unserious' is incorrect. Remember, 'quality not quantity'. 7. Do not write what you are not interested in. May be just to attract huge traffic, you 'dive' into what is popular, but doesn't really interest you. Chances of you getting a good post out there is slim, because there isn't any interest. You will only bore your readers and make them see that you are actually struggling to write. They will erase 'visiting your blog' from their minds and run to who is doing it well. 8. Networking should be your biggest priority. If you are a blogger, statements like 'I don't know how to maintain relationships' should be the last thing that should come out of your mouth, let alone 'I don't like making new friends'. If this is your case, then you see that 'very long years' I said in No 5, add 'very very'. If you don't know how to, learn. 9. Check blogger.com and to learn and start blogging. People can be cruel, they can register your domain - that is, take away the and wordpress, as theirs, when they see that your blog is promising. So you may have to do that yourself sooner than you thought. Source : www.edondo.com/2015/08/read-this-if-you-are-a-blogger-or-want-to-be-a-blogger |
