If you believe your name has an influence on your destiny then, it is definitely so! That is what religion has made us to believe. Christians believe in Jesus and it works for them likewise, muslims believe in Allah and Muhammad and it works for them while the ifa, irunmoles et al. are not left out. I attended a naming ceremony recently and the preacher was trying to prove this point and in the process he condemned names like Jacob saying you should change you name if you bear Jacob! The annoying one he mentioned among others is Paul saying it means little then I ask myself Jesus himself that changed the name of Saul to Paul didnt know this? He was not informed too I have seen someone bearing Jabez and I asked what the meaning is and he replied by asking me too 'dont you read your bible? Jabez was more honourable than his brethren' I seriously rest my case |
Education › Re: Thread For PHD Students by Synthase(m): 8:58pm On Dec 20, 2014 |
Roundabout: Well, I won't say it is misinformation. There is an element of truth in it. Most Federal universities tend to uphold the policy of not accepting, DIRECT for PhD, interested students who did not obtain their master's degrees from their universities.
For instance, OAU and FUNAAB won't allow you to proceed, even if you graduated from UI with a PhD grade!( you will be given Mphil/PhD). UI metes out the same treatment to prospective PhD students from other universities too.
But, in FUTA, to the best of my knowledge, the basic requirement is a high PhD grade. However, they may also be using other criteria in their selection process... Alright, wish you all the best... |

jaytee01: Are you really serious with this post?
What do you mean by Sarkozy, peter and co? Are we supposed to identify them by those names? Sorry You dont get my gist, those names were implied from this thread! From page one, a certain Eddy Olatunde aka sarkozy made bold to say he was mr president's student in 1997. Whether it is true or not, that one is story for the jinns as far as I am concerned; moving further to page three, a certain guy also posted that his brother Peter and his friends Efosa and Tega were mr president's students. Infact I missed another name mentioned on page one, a certain vc of a university so you see my friend, I am not just trying to quote some names but to let you know that someone has made claims of being mr president's ex student while a couple of others know people who were his students and I choose to give them the benefits of doubt. |

Whobedatte: sometimes I wonder if you log off your brain whenever you log into the cybersspace What is wrong in asking a valid question? Osinbajo immediately he was made VP, his students came out to identify with him. Why iss it so hard for us to know who is students are &where we can find his thesis? Must u politicise everything? hmmmm, una just hate this man, haba! If one or two persons come out to say they were his students I guess many here still wont believe! As for me, I choose to give those who have identified with him benefits of doubt that they are telling the truth. People like 'sarkozy, peter, tega and efosa (those three mentioned in proxy) have been identified already in this thread |

Health › Re: The First Ebola Patient In US Is Dead by Synthase(m): 10:48am On Oct 09, 2014 |
PapiWata: Good riddance to a very nasty boi-terrorist. This selfish and reckless man, Thomas Eric Dickhead, was in PERFECT health living in his adopted home-land of America. Next thing you know this fool decides to VISIT Liberia, his country of origin, DESPITE the rampaging Ebola epidemic killing one thousand souls a month there. Trouble dey sleep hin own je-je, before yanga come go wake am.
In Liberia on his voluntary vacation at Ebola ground-zero, the naturalized American citizen cum-bio-terrorist KNOWINGLY assisted a very sick woman, making physical contact with her in the process, and thus contracting Ebola himself. Now hiding his self-imposed death sentence by Ebola infection, this horrid person LIED at the airport at the time of his return to the US, when asked if he had made contact with ANY sick person while in Liberia.
Obviously, the now now-dead Liberian bio-terrorist was an under-achiever as an immigrant to America, because he had no medical coverage, and likely expected FREE treatment for his Ebola illness, followed possibly by 15 minutes of world fame as he charged big money for press interviews. Well, all those dastardly plans came to nothing, and the bio-terrorist was simply allowed to die, with treatment deliberately and rightfully DENIED him, until he croaked like the worthless scum-bag that he is.
Mr. Thomas Eric Dumbfuck, I hope you are enjoying your eternity as a charcoal shovel-wielding slave amid the fiery pits of deepest hell. May your wicked soul rot forever there, and may your memory be erased from the minds of all decent people like a bad dream at the break of dawn. To all other Liberians hoping to run to America for FREE Ebola treatment, let the fate of your role model be a lesson, to show the world there is NO free lunch. Stay the hell IN Liberia, and stop trying to spread that nasty disease. Head to America with that chit, and you WILL be left to die like the free-loading sack of excrement that you are. To think that some people actually liked this poo! |
