my brother, I hate to say this but i have received no notification that my passport is ready. am being told that if i requested for the 64 page one i would have gotten it like with five days but the 32 pages one for first timers is limited. Strangely i did mine in Kaura, Abuja, their headquarters and someone who did hers in Gwagwalada received her 5 days later, she was notified (hers was renewal but her babys own too was new). In my case, zero. it even made me lose one strong contract like this that needed a passport. you can reach me on ////////k2mcee@yahoo.com/////

Boss where did you capture, Ikoyi?

I also captured mid March, I haven't gone to check yet.

Yeah ikoyi
Try check the tracking page.
Or better still visit the ikoyi passport office to ascertain if it's ready or not?

Finally I got my passport today, went for capturing march 8, from the day of capturing I started tracking my application, I check morning, afternoon and night. After a month I decided to visit the passport office, I was told my passport was ready but not at the collection centre yet.
So I didn't bother to track anymore since it's been more than 2 month.
I just decided to check the tracking page yesterday I found out my passport was ready for pickup.
It's was DIY.

I have always been tracking it through their website and all I keep seeing is pending production. I decided to go check today if it's ready and Viola passport has been ready since last month. It was activated there and by the time I checked their site again it showed passport issued.

You can go and check yours if it's ready too as the tracking thing isn't accurate.

Alright
Thanks
So its was after you collected it,the status changed to issued.
I will check on Monday at their ikoyi office cuz that where I did my capturing.

Update: Did my capturing on the 29th of February 2024 at NIS HQ Sauka in Abuja and I collected it today. It has been ready since on the 30th of March last month.

How did you know ur passport was ready for pickup. Did u check the tracking page to know if it's ready or you just visited the passport office to know if it's ready.

Because I capture march 8, today is April 19 and tracking page still show pending production.

Please my passport status is showing this after it showed all green except the "passport issued stage" initially after capturing

I captured on March 28 at Alausa Ikeja

It's a glitch from NIS.
Mine too is showing same.
I already experience that before sometimes last month.
They gonna fix it.

Yes, I use the tracking page. Infact, I started tracking it from the next day of my capturing. I tracked like 3 times a day. Morning, afternoon and night. On the 27th, when I checked in the morning, it was showing pending, I tracked again in the afternoon, it showed issued/collected.

Okay.
I also do track mine too like twice daily. I will still keep on tracking it.
Thanks for the swift response.

Sorry about that bro..
I thought you would have gotten it.
With what I heard there is scarcity of the 32 pages at there various passport office.only those who paid their officers for express received theirs within short period of time.

When coming to the online registration, towards the end, you are asked to upload birth certificate or declaration of age. Then the second one is like a letter confirming you are from a particular local government, something like a local government of origin... some say you can use state of origin and it would do. Mind you after the system, the people at the office would also vett it.
How many weeks did u waited before you pick up ur passport, secondly how did u know ur passport was ready for pickup, were u sent an email or a text message that's ready?
Travel / Re: How To Print Your Guarantor's Form For Nigerian Passport Online by T0bil33: 1:41pm On Feb 29
Gabangel:

If you are applying for a new passport for the first time, there is no need to get a guarantors form or even physical copy of passport photograph. Just carry your application form and the form created for your interview and head to the Immigration office on the day you scheduled for yourself and the venue that you selected. In my case, it was HQ abuja and the timing was irrelevant, as I came by 10 instead 12 as my schedule said and i was still allowed inside. I left by 1.20... Line was much there.
so we shouldnt bother with the guarantor form and proceed with documents uploaded and proceed for the appointment
