biaframaster200: This idiot Yoruba think Ibo people believe in him , if you like support Obi Peter with your last pint of blood ...as long as you are not Ibo person...., you are not part of the Ibo agenda which they want to use Obi Peter to accomplish....
Dele Farotimi is blabbing his mouth and speaking for people who he doesn't really know who they really are? The day Dele say anything In support of Tinubu , that day , they will descend on him....
He is just labouring for Ibo people in vain....
Don't mind the guy, o jare! I used to love listen to the talk on social issues in the country. I mean, this was the guy who, 3 years ago stated that "if you pick ex-president Barak Obama, multiply his IQ by 10 then ask him to govern nigeria, he would fail woefully". He then proceed further to say, no one canredeem Nigeria, not even Jesus christ.
So, imagine my shock when I saw him campaigning the Obingo, just before Xmas 2022.
As a yorubaman, I didn't vote for Tinubu for the simple reason that, I know he can't stop fulani herdsmen from killing usin our ancestral land BUT I did not for Peter Obi, either.
Beremx: Ogbeni I hail you Sir. So this your moniker still exist? At least you have reduced your ethnic bigotry on nairaland since we now have new bigots on board. I really miss those days of your bigotry o! You're a legend.
Thanks for the compliment. Now, can you please naff off...........with your kind of ethnic bigotry?
Tflex01: Engagements is what these guys seek and you are giving them the attention they want. If somebody says the master bedroom inside your apartment is not part of your house you will quickly realize that it's either the person is completely m@d or plainly mischievous and desperately seek attention. Better to ignore them until they come around to carry Lagos.
Honestly!!! Best advice, ever. These guys are just flippin' mischievous . This topic has been deliberated myriad times on this platform but like a nightmare that refuses to go away, they keep bringing it up, again & again.
Okay, Lagos is not part of yorubaland . Can we have some peace, now?
mrvitalis: About four years ago me and my partners were about to close on a 40,000 hectares farm land purchase on Ogbomosho for a cassava to ethanol project
Boom Fulani herdsmen struck the place Agent got us somewhere in Ondo , can't place the name... Same thing happened
It was so sad really , I called off the who project completely
What's your point?
But why did you call off the project, entirely? There's no safe land in your Region yo cite the project, ni? You are the same person that has been disturbing our eardrums with cries that your igbo developers should relocate all their "phantom" businesses to alaigbo land. Here you are now, concocting another falsehood about you and your imaginary partners setting up a project in the Southwest.
Beremx: hahaha we Igbos will stand with Sunday Igboho if his kinsmen refuse to stand with him. We are fearless
Thanks, but NO Thanks! Igboho no ask for your support nor does he need it. Go stand by your "dilector" chopping watery beans in Kuje correctional center for the 3 and a half years.
Why can't you people just mind your own flippin ' business? Abi, you no have enough problems of your own to deal with?. Same way your late "freedom fighter" took it upon himself to "liberate" us when he hasn't even liberated his own kits and kins.
If we talk now, una go dey shout like pesin when dem stuck red hot iron up his nectar region say "yorubas are obsessed with your people " .
Abegi, just dit down in your corner whilst we sidon for ours...........till this unholy union is...............
Thiefobi1: Ademoyega book is full of futitious narrative.
In his book he stated that banjo assisted ironsi to power and advice him to bring nzeogwu into the central govt which ademoyega wrote ironsi acceded to.
How come same banjo was arrested by ironsi stripped of his entitlement for falsely bringing a gun along to meet ironsi.
While the real coup planner were still enjoying their benefits.
He also made mentioned of plan to falsely installed Awolowo which everyone believe was a lie. Reason been that ifeajuna sold the story to ademoyega for him to be part of the plot.
Of course, that was the story ifeajunna sold to Ademoyega to get him to be part of the coup plot. By that time in question, the military had been highly politiced and it was no secret that Ademoyega was pro-Awo while Col. Banjo from Ogbomosho, was understandable pro-Akintola.
Major Ademoyega can only write in his book whatever Bs ifeajunna and the other coupists fed him. Unfortunately, they didn't tell him that there was no activity scheduled for Calabar prison where Awo was incarcerated.
Major Okafor bungled his initial attack on Brig. Maimalari at the latter's home whereupon Ifeajunna went looking for his former Brigade commander & upon sighting him, walked up to him and shot him dead in cold blood.
However, no one went looking for Ironsi who they claimed had left the same leaving do party for Brig. Maimalari, for another party.
kettykin: If he encouraged secession, problem, if he discouraged secession, problem. What exactly do this descendants of Ham want. The fact of the matter is that he did not encouraged secession. In actual fact, not only did he not encourage it, he also threatened proponents of secession with lengthy jail terms. He was a "One Nigerianist" to the core. You (and your ilk) knows what we wanted ; stop being duplicitous but then I guess you lot are just not made that way. It will be like asking a scorpion, not to sting.
Assuming he encouraged it ,they would have used it to fight his political career to a dead end , now he has discouraged it they are still using I to fight him. The problem is not Nnamdi Azikiwe but a mindset issue from people from certain parts of present-day Nigeria. Why are you assuming when we all know that he did not encourage secession? The question is, why did zik discouraged secession clause? He was a One Nigerianist to the core. He believed and supported a one Nigeria where in due course, he hoped, his kiths & kins will eventually dominate.
If he discouraged it and Southern Cameroon seceded then you have your self to blame
gidgiddy: Ojukwu did a lot for Victor Banjo, they were friends l. It was Ojukwu that released Victor Banjo from jail along with Ifeajuna, Nzeogwu, and others who were locked up in the East after the January 1966 coup. Ojukwu gave Banjo a suite in Government house Enugu to live. Ojukwu gave him a command in the Biafran Army and promoted him to Brigadier
Banjo rewarded Ojukwu with treachery
Col. Victor Banjo was not involved in the Jan. 15th coup rather, he was arrested for (allegedly) plotting to topple Ironsi's illegitimate govt. on the 17th of Jan. 1966. Yeah, Ojukwu did a lot for Banjo and subsequently, sent him on a one-way mission to wreck havoc on his father's land, ahead of Ojukwu's ragtag Biafran liberation Front. Either way, Col. Banjo wasn't going to survive that mission. But here you are telling us that the two were bosom friends. Oh well, I presume that's how you treat your so-called friends in igboland.
Now, we all can see why Nigeria will never work. The other day I was watching Dr.Damages and the topic was " how do we build the Nigeria of our dreams"? I asked a simple question of the moderators and his panelists but none could profer an answer which was; which Nigeria does the Northerners want, ditto easterners and what the Southwest, not to mention the "minority groups"?
confusedlady: Nice lies....😆 🤣 So Okpara,Azikiwe,Orizu,Ironsi and Ojukwu were institutions that deserved to be protected and preserved because they were saints while leaders from the other regions deserved to be slaughtered?
There is no tribe in Nigeria with the ability to turn black to white like the Ibo. Their propensity to use propaganda and falsehood to justify their wickedness while still playing themselves as victims is unrivalled.
Listen to the callous way Nzeogwu describes the cold blooded murder of the Sardauna and his wife.....
It's also instructive to note that Major Donatius Okafor, one of the leaders of the coup (in conjunction with Major Ifeajuna & Capt. Oji), ostensibly participated in the "revolutionary coup" to rid the country of corruption and nepotism was himself morally bankrupt, as he was found guilty of stealing army funds barely few weeks before the coup.
Senate president Nwafor Orizu who handed power to Ironsi was convicted of fraud with his brother Joseph Onyekusi Orizu . He (Senate presido) was later jailed for 7 years. On Tuesday 22nd September 1953, he arrived at the Lagos Prison by train under escort to serve his term.

Major Ifeajuna, Major okafor (a shameless thief) & Captain Oji were the ringleaders of the Jan 15th coup, in Nigeria.
HOW IT ALL STARTED.....
13. In August 1965, three officers, Major Okafor, Major Ifeajuna and Captain Oji who were already dissatisfied with political developments in the Federation and the impact of these developments on the Army, held series of discussions between them about the matter and set about the task of searching for other officers who held views similar to their own and who could, eventually, be trusted to join them in the enterprise of staging a military coup d'Etat.
14. In September 1965, Major I. H. Chukwuka of Nigerian Army Headquarters Lagos was persuaded to join the group of conspirators, followed in October 1965 by Major C. I. Anuforo, also of the Army headquarters. Major C. K. Nzeogwu was brought in around that time through the efforts of Major Anuforo, an old friend of both Majors Nzeogwu and Okafor. Major Nzeogwu in turn secured the support for the plan of Major A. Ademoyega who had worked with him in the Nigerian Army Training College Kaduna.
15. By early November the recruiting activities of the group were completed and an inner circle of conspirators emerged, consisting of the following officers:
Major CK Nzeogwu
Major A. Ademoyega
Major EA Ifeajuna
Major CI Anuforo
Major IH Chukwuka
Major D. Okafor
Captain O. Oji
Planning for the execution of the plot started in earnest in early November 1965 at a meeting of the inner circle which took place in Major Ifeajuna's house in Lagos.
LINK.......SPECIAL BRANCH REPORT: "Military Rebellion of 15th January
hedonido: I propose that stupid people (like you) should be exterminated because they are of no use to humanity, and can only serve to degrade mankind with their mere, subpar, corrosive existence.
What is this? How does your useless response directly address/negate the OP's straightforward point?
Geez! The hatred is real o! Oh, what a proposal!! Who the hell are you to determine who is useful or not, to mankind?
If you can't create a human being then you have no right to say who should be exterminated on account of their uselessness. Another Hitler in the making.
The God that created him also created you and only HIM can determine who is useless or not. Maybe, the proper proposal should be that the Lord Almighty should do away with your existence because of your devilish mind towards your fellow mankind- a creation of God..
danvon: As for the plucking of Nzeogwu eyes once again you confuse army with civilians
The eyes were a trophy, it's like the way the British would steal African gods and store them well in museums although they didn't believe in them.
They plucked his eyes doesn't mean they hate him, they kept his eyes because they saw him as a great man hence they can boast that "I have a great man's eyes".
of course, the Northerners thought Nzeogwu was a "great man" after he singlehandedly murder their political and religious leader in cold blood.
Keep deluding urself like iya ibeji who, when asked, responded that her boys are in London doing great things, when the whole village knows that her twins are in prison for armed robbery!
DMerciful: Ironsi, yes. Ojukwu was not an head of state. Read to understand rather than to respond
Ojukwu was the Head of State of the now defunct Republic of Biafra, at least for 30months before running off to exile in Abidjan, abandoning his people to the mercy of federal troops.
The man who personally killed Ahmadu Bello was Nzeogwu Chukwuma.
When he (Nzeogwu) died, Gowon gave orders for his corpse to be transported to Kaduna, he was then given a respected military funeral in Kaduna.
The man who killed Northern elites was buried in the North with respect.
Your mistake is thinking soldiers follow the same moral code as civilians, all this talk about revenge is complete nonsense.
Yeah, Nzeogwu was given a "respected military funeral" but that was after they plucked out his eyes from their sockets.
Are you trying to infer that the July coup was not a revenge coup? Pray then, tell us what it (July 1966 coup) was. Probably a home-coming party for the new clueless illegal head of state.
danvon: Why go through the trouble of killing Northern leaders just to place Northerners in every strategic key position in the country...
He was already Major General and on more than one occasion he disobeyed Nnamdi Azikiwe in favour of Tafewa Balewa... Doesn't sound like a typical Northern hater to me.
Why do you assume that the Northerners gives a rat-arse how you perceive ironsi after his boys had just eliminated their (Northerners ') elite ? Ironsi was a dead-man walking, the moment he took over the govt of the day, at gunpoint. .
danvon: I know he was terribly defeated when he tried to invade Onitsha, he had advantage in weapons, advantage in numbers, more food and supply and yet 90% of his troops were killed, only incompetent leadership could achieve that.
His expertise was in plotting coups and shooting defenceless civilians, he was cunning but was never intelligent (if he was intelligent he might still be alive)
Same can be said about Ironsi...........if he had sufficient grey matters in his frontal lobe, he too might still be alive, today.
Ironsi was as dumb.. b as they come. No wonder , Nzeogwu reffered to him as a pen-pushing desk sergeant.
hedonido: I have gone to great lengths to weed out even longstanding associates, almost entirely from the Yoruba ethnicity, who I know for sure supported Buhari and in spite of all that happened, still went ahead to support Tinubu.
Call me whatever you like, but I can't bring myself to feel secure in the company of such jaundiced, dangerously bigoted, bone-headed pieces of thrash. I have weeded every single one of them out of my space. And even if any of them were dying in my presence and my saliva will be sufficient to save their lives, I wouldn't waste a drop of it on them.
Rubbish.
Omo, the hatred you ahbor for yorubas is REAL o! Geez!! Simply because they didn't vote for your "gbajue" principal.
Rest assured, with this mindset and narratives you guys churns out every day, come nxt election , no yoruba will vote for Panfora Obi and you all can go and choke on your bile..........
mrvitalis: This one think the battle field would be in Igbo land... Lmaooo think again son
In your last misadventure, Ojukwu strategised to have the battlefield in yorubaland but we "changed am for him" and the eventual battlefield occurred in igboland.
Olachase: don't worry once they can't invest their money in Lagos they are coming to your region to invest, how about that
Abi o jare!!
If they can't own lagos, it's better (for these children of , if the city is destroyed however, they have been predicting & prophessing the demise of lagos, for eons but fortunately, our "Aleles" refused to grant their wish.
Godfullsam: Igbos are terrible creatures-all of them. They are designed with undiluted hatred and obsession. Majority of them are tired of the way they behave, but there is nothing they can do about it .
dragunov: 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪 You don't even know the main agenda of the invite. Maybe they want to tell the "few" of you left about the dangers associated with buying land on blocked water canals. See people wey dem suppose sell use the proceed to buy lanterns wey dey boast say dem be lustrous. If you know how much we want you guys to go back home, ehn! Especially Lagos. Yeye dey smell.
Lol......Eni abata ka fi owo e ra atupa si eyinkule, ton pe ra re ni omoajitona wo
What a perfect description of these folks, we are unfortunate to share, nationality with!
