DaddyCoool:Og course, Zik wasn't after the oil money from the minority tribe in Eastern region rather he was more concerned about the fulanis leaving the union. Oh well, I guess zik- the beautiful bride from the east- got what he wanted. Now the rest of us are now in a one chance bus to nowhere. |
DaddyCoool:@ bolded, above...........sure, like Dr Nnamdi azikwe became a ceremonial president to a nobody with Grade II teaching Cert. |
DaddyCoool:Awo never wanted the war, it was forced on him by the two protagonists and as such he chose which side is more in the interest of his people. |
ycat:Am neither a Yorobidient or Yoratikulate and definitely not a Batist. See how quickly you tagged me, a yorubidient simply "cause I don't support your " emilokan". Tinubu don't give a d.a m.n about yorubas, and is willing & able to sell us to his fulani masters just to achieve his political ambition. This was why I warned you ilk ( during the last election) that a tinubu presidency will not stop his kingmakers' footsoldiers from killing us in our beds in our ancestral homes. Have I not been vindicated ? In February 2024, 3 traditional Kings in Yorubaland were slaughtered by fulani bandits in the space of one week. Not a pim from your yoruba president. He dared not upset his fulani masters who gifted him with the keys to A.r.s.e.h.x.x.x Rock. How many yorubas have been killed in their homes by herdsmen in 2024? All our politicians are slaves to the fulanis. They cannot protect us from herdsmen yet they are supposed to be the CSO of their respective state. |
lionphil:May Olodumare bless you a thousand times. Since the news broke that the U.S (& France) wants to establish military base in Nigeria, I have just been shaking my head at various opinions/comments emanating from Nigerians on the subject. Your comment here sure hit the nail on the head! For me, I wonder why the Americans and the French have to leave Niger republic (almost similar to how they left Vietnam & Kabul), but most important of all is, what is the security situation in Niger at their (US & French troops) exit especially when one consider the fact , the number of decades these guys spent in the country and similarly ecowas countries they had their base? Hell NO, we don't need their military base in Yorubaland or Nigeria . |
DaddyCoool:You are just regurgitating Igbo narratives about the late sage . Awo had no way of stopping that dumb war that Ojukwu (& the fulanis) wanted and got. Awo's so-called "threat" couldn't have stopped the war as it was made in August 1st, 1966 and to his constituency- western region, whilst the war started in July 1967. Moreover, what you now referred to as "threat" , your igbo brothers dubbed it, "a gentleman's agreement " between Ojukwu and Awo to which the latter allegedly reneged on and thereafter you lot have been calling Awo, a betrayer and conveniently extend it to his tribesmen, too. . |
DaddyCoool:No one can turn Nigeria around let alone the m.o.rr.ons gallivanting about our political hemisphere like prized peacock, whilst some are chanting "emilokun". Tinubu's tenure will be worse than buhari's (now that's saying something) and believe it or not (that's your perogative), his successor will pick up the gauntlet, where tinubu might have left off. The only trajectory is downwards. You still did not explain how you adjudged Awo as one of those responsible for the extant woes facing the currently. What cards was he dealt with that he failed to play, successfully? NB: Thanks for the correction. |
DaddyCoool:can you expantiate on the bolded part, above. Sadly, authentic yorubas (Omoluabis) don't give a rat's a.r.s.e how great tinubu is outside yorubaland. |
DaddyCoool:"IF" being the operative word however Nigeria is not going to be great anytime soon and certainly not under the present administration, whose only objective is to loot the country dead. No diasporean will clamour to return to Nigeria unless of course, if he or she is a deportee. Oh BTW, nothing tinubu does will make him ascend the steps to be placed on the same pedestal as Pa Awo. Absolutely nothing. |
ottersberger:No, Ademulegun was not igbo. He was yoruba and was killed by an Igbo man, by the name, Timothy Onwuatuegwu. What led to Operation wetie? |
Omoawoke:It's a fool at 40.........however the guy you responded to, is definitely in his 50's. He is a long-term nuisance on NL. |
MrCork:Ol' boy, no biggie. Just put on a wrapper and a blouse and you're good to go. |
MrCork:judging from your post above, I believe, you ought to apply for the post, too. |
Mariory:Abi o jare! Me too dey wonder o. Btw, WTH is Russell Brand? |
helinues:As a one nigerianist, you are the bona-fide clown. |
Br4life:Yes o, we do have "leaders" but unfortunately, our leaders don't give a p.ho.ck about us. All they are interested in, is how much of our commonwealth, can they steal for themselves, families , friends & sycophants. |
DMerciful:Of course, like a virgin g/mother ![]() |
winner37:Nope, it's a Yoruba man, ostensibly at the helms of our political topography but he can't do sweet F.A to protect his yoruba kiyh and kins from from been slaughtered with gusto, even in their beds. Like the sage said, "if by commission or omission....... If any part of yhis obviously flawed union is allowed to exit the country, all other parts will follow suit. The fulani govt of Nigeria will NEVER allow the union to break up as they are the most beneficiaries of the One Nigeria conceived by the igbos. |
winner37:It's not a case of believing that war is the only solution to our predicament however, just take a curious look at that section of yhe country, killing everyone else in the country with reckless abandon with no recourse to justice. They are the true owners of Nigeria and they have got the whoke flippin country by the bal.l$. They are the kingmakers in Nigeria. Anyone who is serious about leading the country will have to kiss the fulanis' behind or else, nothing for you be that. They have been at the helms of our political power since independence and have gradually & meticulously managed and consolidate their hold on power till date. Do you think these guys from the sahel will even entertain any notion that may change the status quo? Any proposition that may knock them off their perch, is an absolute no, no. I make bold to predict that these guys would rather burn the whole country down than to shift their position, one bit. |
Zulu11zulu:Mechouno Jo! Who begged you to "invest" in our land? Am sure, you (and ur ilk) knows where to stick your phantom investments. Giving half the chance, you plebs will do worse to us than the fulanis are currently doing in Yorubaland. There's little difference between you and the fulanis when it comes to the affairs of yorubaland; both of you wants to covert our land and the means employed are different. |
Bookhub:Please, do tell us where and when did oloye Sunday Igbooo denounced Yoruba nation?. If you can't then desist from propagating false narratives. |
BabaRamota1980:Yorubas do not have to change Nigeria and sadly, cannot change the country and lead its recovery. This is the same errornous mistake Pa Awolowo made, 7 decades ago. Nigeria is irredeemable! No messiah can save Nigeria. I have always been "Yoruba First" and as such, possess no belief in one fake United Nigeria. Yorubas will never, ( not in a million years) realise their great potentials whilst in this flawed Union. |
Slytiger:That's their stock in trade; abject lies and propaganda. It's genetic! |
Melagros:So, why don't you STFU, then? Aftrrall, as you clearly admitted above, this has phock all to do with you. |
VeryWickedMan:Dem born igboho well o. He's an "Omoluabi" hence he was in Igboho town last weekend, to bury his mum. It was a large occasion with many dignitaries in attendance. The Seriki Fulani you mentioned, is now in ilorin. He legged it 2 days before the deadline, igboho gave him became due.You can also Google what Salihu- ex-seriki of Igangan have to say about igboho. He still shivers at the mention of igboho's name. As for the picture you posted above, that was Wakili- Salihu's right hand man. He was captured by Opc men after the whole Nigerian security forces refused to go into the forest to fish him out. They were all afraid of Wakili. |
Op, which part of Political section are you grappling to comprehend. How is the video you uploaded, political? If you don't know where to post your video, start with entertainment section. Abi you didn't see "entertainment" section but coming to politics section. Geez! So many kids on NL, nowadays |
Flows001:OK, we don't hear una, Igbo man from Nasarawa! So your (adopted) State voted competence and by that I supposed, you meant Peter Obi? So you all voted for Obi for his competence and not out of sentiments ? Unfortunately, most Nigerians do not believe you.. More wailings on the way |
Zooposki:Of course, we do know that the North has never been our friends. We know and still remember our history such as how we spent the best of the 1800s fighting off these barbarians from the Sahel. As for your suggestion about west collaborating with you igbos? Hell NO! We don't share the same vision. In fact, our ideologies are on parallel planes. All the igbos want is, who to dominate in every sense of the word and exploit (just like their former Colonial master) whilst we yorubas just want to develop at our own pace and do owambes. Op, we don't need Regionalism to develop ourselves. We had Regionalism before but some "smart Alecs" decided unilaterally, that Regionalism is not good for us rather we all need to be united to develop and be more prosperous. Incidentally, it was only when they were in power at the center. Once kicked out of power, they suddenly remembered "Confederacy". Who wants to stay with such duplicitous folks in the same union? |
