run a check on number of moniker of who you are dealing with. See the attached picture as a guide on how to run a check on a number, email, moniker etc on nairaland.

It's super simple, yet some of us choose to deal blindly

He also did not leave his moniker as he told the member that he does not use nairaland, he only branched to get some bitcoins

LESSON

1. I already said this. Once someone told you he has no nairaland username (moniker) and that he is just a passer-by or a relative gave him your contact, then be more vigilant during the trade

2. Never trust a screenshot or SMS alert until the money successfully landed in your account by checking your web access or mobile app. Don't let a client rush you - take your time in every trade

Thank God he was not successful this time. But who knows if he is doing it with another member as I type.

This guy is amazing as well. we transacted and as naija bank use to do sometime, there was a delay. So, I sent him the coins and slept as it was late then. woke the other day, fund never arrive. I communicated with him and he contacted his bank and even went to the bank. Finally the fund was returned to his account. However, the thought of scamming a fellow did not occur to him, he forwarded the money back to me immediatlly.
