Beey:
Please refer to my previous post. You are responding to a half- baked story because you've not seen the whoke baked stuff. If she made meals, that's her business since am Beey & not Beyonce .As for me,I have no business cooking meals for a boyfriend.Like I said in my previous post, boyfriends are just boyfriends & shouldn't be enjoying husband privileges.I can make him a meal once in a while if he wants to know whether I can cook but I'll make it at my place. However,it shouldn't be an everytime kind of expectation.I cook coz I want to.I also said that I can cook for him in odd circumstances such as sickness. But when a lady gets into the habit of cooking & doing laundry, it doesn't guarantee that he'll marry you. It's not an automatic ticket to marriage.Should the relationship fail, you are left feeling hurt & used.If am food enough to cook, am also good enough to wife. Please, any girl reading these comments, has freedom of choice. They don't have to take my advice. There are many advisers & they can pick the advice of their choice.Am just voicing my opinion just like Anyone else on this forum.
Standing ovation!!

I know girls who can't even boil eggs and are happily married.
I know great cooks who are seriously single and searching.

Big, fat lie paraded around by our grannies!
You'll cook for him all the recipes you know from all the cuisines in this world.
You'll even have a mini-library of recipe books in your house, trying out all those recipes every time he comes over.
If a guy isn't into you, no type of cooking skills will get him to love you.
Exactly oh!!!

Sorry...you think all guys do what you just posted?

And having sex is enjoyed by both party, a mere girlfriend not even engaged to the man cooking and washing for a lazy dude is like a maid, she will be the one to the cooking ish.

If she willingly do it, it is her choice but if a guy expected or forced her to do it, she's like a maid.

a shameful posts by some guys in this thread.
Lol. grin

Thank you o my sister. Am sure most of the guys talking here will not advice thier own sister to perform a wife's role to an ordinary boyfriend. If he wants to test your cooking abilities he should come over to your house. Maybe when he graduates from boyfriend to fiance you can start doing all the wifely role.
Lol abi!

I'm sorry, who is a black woman? Go back even to the stone age, you will never see it as acceptable to treat a bf as a husband... ehm r we even meant to date or be in relationships? Ehn? R those not white concepts?

A black woman btw is who ever she says she is! We are much more than the list in your head...
Tell them! Black women are not a monolith! We don't all fit into the narrow box society has created for us!

Btw, to each his own sha... There's no hard n fast rule about this.

Live your life like YOU want. If u want to cook, fine! I have a friend who coiks 4 her bf n seeing them, they're like kids with each other and that's cute.

Just be urself I guess...
Exactly. I don't see the point in getting all riled up or pissed just because someone (a stranger for that matter!) doesn't share your views.

I would have, only I'm not as fugly as you. I sense u ask yourself questions about how you were born this uggly and as such you're unhappy with your parents. Too bad you want to transfer that hate/aggression to we innocent gentlemen and as such corrupt the minds of a few sensible ones who should make us good wives in future. I'll see to it you dont succeed in this direction as it affects my future directly. I'm onto you on this thread! bite me!

Interesting topic. Methinks it depends on d lady. I never cooked for my bfs, I never saw d need to visit him n start cooking....for what naa...that isn't in d T&Cs of our relationship. When we are hungry we go out to eat or just nibble on snacks around his house. When he visits me, same thing. It used to amuse me when I see my friends cooking, cleaning n doing laundry for a bf! And then after some months, d affair is all over, so what was d essence of all that labour of "love"? It's more rewarding cooking for my husband n kids.....taking good care of my family, not slaving for a "waka come waka go" grin
As it should be.

Same topic with different OPs! So I'l give the same reply as before.
I don't like to cook (that doesn't mean I can't). So cooking for myself, let alone someone else is a chore. So I avoid it if I can. But I have to eat and save money so I cook. If my boyfriend want to chop he know he can come to my house and chop, he's just like any other guest. If I chop, my guest will chop. So I don't go out of way to cook for my bf, unless a occasion calls for it. It's a mutual thing. As long a two individual mutually agree to do this or that for each other, that one should no concern nobody. So there nothing right or wrong about cooking for your bf. In my opinion cooking, cleaning, doing laundry and the like on a consistent basis is too much if your title is just girlfriend.
Agreed!!
