Those Eurasian genes seem to increase the attractiveness of SSA populations.
Any black population I see getting the tag of most beautiful have some non-African ancestry.

Thank you I love it. I think everyone in Senegal speaks Wolof lolll even the Fulani/Tukulor and the Serer. Everyone is Wolofnized there. It's better to be Wolofnized than Francophonized in my opinion.
Yes almost everyone, people speak it because they have to. It would be very difficult to communicate in cities here if you do not speak Wolof.

A very hard time now for the king of Fulani singers. Baaba Maal lost his only son Omar Maal. Omar was 34 years old and was living in Belgium where he died.
He was buried today at the Yoff cemetery in Dakar, next to his mother Marthe Bocoum who died in 2010.
He is leaving behind a dad and 2 uterine siblings. Condolences to Baaba.
May almighty Allah forgive Omar his sins and grant him aljannah.

Omarbah: Not at the moment, they have found it at the coast but they still need to figure out if it is enough for commercial purposes.
Yes, agriculture, appliances, home furniture, you know things that people will always need. That's my thing.
I see smiley

Omarbah: Now Takamba , on the other hand if it was oil which has a high rate of return than I would definitely try to go in.
But mining takes too much capital, you need to be connected with banks or international investors.
Oh I see, and Guinea does not produce oil right? So that's why only foreign companies invest in mines. You could try agriculture for exportation, or even importation. and yeah services are always a good investment.

Omarbah: Oh my bad, I know Serigne Ahmadou Bamba( May Allah Forgive Him and Accept Him in his Eternal Paradise) passed away in 1927. But
I thought every other Khalif is called that way. I guess I was wrong.
These religious institutions are important sister. They build a second layer of protection for the society. This way if the state fails, the morale
decline won't reach the society and devour it. This is why I believe Senegal is still culturally rich. You are greeted with Salamec or Nanga Def instead of "what's up" or Bonjour.
We are not going to finish this without me asking, what business opportunities do you see there? I know real estate is a big thing but what else would you suggest? smiley
No Serigne Touba is the only one called like that.
Yes brotherhood are an important element for the well being of the society but like everywhere they also have their negative sides.
It depends where you live at the moment for opportunities. Real estate is good but everyone is doing it at the moment it seems saturated. I'm myself doing some researchs on it but I cannot have all informations because I'm not in Senegal most of the year.
The good thing would be to go there if you're leaving elsewhere and investigate. I don't really trust people's advices because what works for you may not work for someone else.
But why don't you try mining in Guinea? Your country has rich natural resources.

Omarbah: Didn't Serigne Touba prevent women from being on the list of deputies for the city?
I'd love to visit Touba some day, Tivaoune also and Madina Gounass of course smiley
Serigne Touba passed away in 1927 smiley. You mean the current Khalif I think. His name is Serigne Mor Maty Leye Mbacke and yes he banned parity on the electoral lists.

Omarbah: shocked oh wow, I thought she was of the Torodo caste. I guess I was mislead by her light skinned complexion. Knowing what she did for Podor, I think it's a shame to her treated that way.
I have a question Rox, how do Senegalese feel about the Sufi orders and rising power?
You mean the brotherhoods? They are very powerful and almost every Senegalese belongs to one. The Murids are getting particularly more and more powerful.
Touba is now the second city in the country in term of economy and population.

Lol castes do not depend on complexion. El Hadj Omar was light skinned too and Abdul Kader Kane was dark skinned according to descriptions.

Omarbah: How so? Wasn't Mimi fired because APR lost the elections?
I followed the episode with Racine Sy. I do think everything will be done to weaken Aissata. It's tough to make
it in a vastly Muslim countries with strongly entrenched Sufi orders.
Macky made her competing for the elections on purpose, so he would have an excuse to fire her. He knew that she wouldn't win. Losing local elections is not enough to fire a prime minister, he just wanted to replace her.
During the Podor elections I heard some disrespectful words like "tell Aissata that she is just a blacksmith daughter, a woman like her cannot compete with a Torodo like Racine".
I have no idea about her background, it was just what we were hearing from her (low class) opponents.
It's not a Sufi problem, because Aissata has been Podor's mayor for a long time. It is true that she won in extremis (by 6 votes), but she really won, Racine Sy, supported by Macky Sall really stole the victory from her.
It is one of Macky's tactics, to avoid the influence of the opposition.
He did the same thing in Saint Louis by stealing the victory from Ahmed Fall and giving it to his brother in law who is now the mayor.
CultureRe: Meet The Most Beautiful People On Earth- The Fulanis by Takamba:
Omarbah: then Aissata Tall Sall, I love her. She has a lot of her.
Oh we both forgot about Khalifa Sall , the mayor of Dakar. Il est presidentiable.
Khalifa is very popular now, but only in Dakar. Mais comme on dit qui gagne Dakar gagne le Senegal.
Oh yes, I like Aissata, she really challenged Tanor for the presidency of the Socialist Party and if Khalifa Sall and the Socialist leaders didn't separate themselves from her she would won. Now during the elections for Podor mayor, Racine Sy corrupted one judge and stole the victory for the mayor elections from her. She is really a strong woman. All these politicians are sexist.
Aminata Toure would be another good choice. Too bad Macky Sall played her.
CultureRe: Meet The Most Beautiful People On Earth- The Fulanis by Takamba: 10:44pm On Aug 27, 2014
Omarbah: what a shame, at this point, I don't know who can replace. Maybe Tanor Dieng. He seems to be a good statesman.
Not Idy though, his thirst for power is scary.
Oh not Tanor, he was just a lucky boy, people have seen what he has done under Diouf administration. He is having right now problem with his party and is struggling to keep his place of leader.
Me too I'm not feeling Idy, he looks tortuous.
At this point I really don't know undecided
We should maybe try a woman.
CultureRe: Meet The Most Beautiful People On Earth- The Fulanis by Takamba: 9:57pm On Aug 27, 2014
Omarbah: I see what you mean. Well if he does not included people from all background, he sure won't get reelected in 2017.
Guinea is in really bad shape. There is so much tension and rivalry between Fulans and Maninkas. I know Senegal will avoid it,
your politicians are more responsible.
Things got worse when Mbagnick Ndiaye (a Sereer) was thanking the First Lady because it was because of her that he and Mactar Ba were appointed in the government. It created a big debate and Mbagnick Ndiaye later apologized, but it cleared the questions on who was really taking the decisions. Now to be appointed you have to befriend or carry the bags of the First Lady, or be Toucouleur or Sereer grin.
People say that Macky Sall won't do a second term not because of ethnic thing but because the guy is not working, he is just gaining weight.
CultureRe: Meet The Most Beautiful People On Earth- The Fulanis by Takamba: 9:24pm On Aug 27, 2014
Omarbah: Guineans claim they fear giving power to a Fula for that reason. I thought Macky had more Serer and Wolof in his government?
I know his current prime minister is Serer and the previous was Maninka if I am not mistaken.
I think Aminata Toure (the previous PM) is Wolof. The situation in Guinea and Senegal are not the same but Macky is giving all the strategic positions to either his people or his wife's relatives. All these guys in the government the likes of Abdou Lo etc are Toucouleurs, even if they have Wolof surnames.
CultureRe: Meet The Most Beautiful People On Earth- The Fulanis by Takamba: 9:05pm On Aug 27, 2014
Omarbah: question for you Takamba, what is this Neddo Ko Bandoum? I know what it literally means but is it a cultural movement?
No not a movement but it's to show the Toucouleur mentality. When a Toucs get appointed to a special position immediately he fires all the staff and hires Toucouleurs. All tribes do it but it is more common with the Toucouleurs, they do it even more than the Fula. Just like the thing Macky Sall is doing right now.

Fulaman198: ROFLLLLL yeah

I don't think I'm writing this correctly, but what is chei wai cheggal!
Is it Wolof?

In Wolof chei (we write it Thiey or thieye) is an exclamation. I don't know the exact equivalent but we use it as we use khalass. It is used to mark resignation, deception etc

Way is word that we use in almost all sentences. It is to encourage, just like the French will use allez or the Brits go.
More than it it is the tone used to say the way that can change the meaning. Way can also mark anger or deception.

Cheggal, I have no idea sad
