When I was learning how to trade on nse, my then analogue stockbroker advised me to sell any stock that gain 50% in my portfolio. In the case of oando, the coy gained about 200% from the time Peterichy highlighted it here. If you ask me I will say kudos to Peterichy.

The lesson from my earlier post was that it is not adviceable for people to put 100% of their fund in one stock, with or without due diligence. How Skye bank investors loose 100% of their investment was used as an example.
Yes the bank was not fundamentally sound but buying Afribank generated some level of confidence around the investing public that the bank is still financially strong, ready to go places, only for the bank to go to hell in few weeks.

But my point was that Skye bank had enough to pay for the purchase of Afribank and many considered it as promising. Besides most banks did not pay dividend during that period.

Skye bank had a healthy balance sheet before acquiring Afri bank only for to be nationalized few weeks after and investors loose everything. Oando's is even a better story.

Did any body tell you to put your entire fund in one stock? Before you can do that you must have carried out an extensive personal analysis of the stock and have your personal conviction that it will deliver. Even at that it is still not advisable. I pity you though

The same way you were convinced by their post was the same way they were convinced by the information that lead to their post. No one knows what tomorrow will bring. The stock market is partly an Investment vehicle and partly a casino. It can go in your favour or turn against you.

infact if the motive of their protests is dividend, then they are not even qualify to be call investors. They are hungry and jobless so they should go look for job.

they are not being held with glue in that company they should learn to sell and move on if they can not wait .

it is normal to postpone an agm if the management of the company believe that the eailer date is no longer convenient.

That is still not enough reason to protest. I still maintain my stand if you don't like the company's policies sell and invest in another company don't protest.

if you know that you don't have the plan to sell your shares then invest and relax you don't need the dividend more than the directors of the company.

how can invest and not have peace of mind to the extent of protesting against the company's policy. I mean forcing a company to hold their agm on a date that is not comfortable for them all because you want them to quickly receive dividend.

Who should be more concerned about the company wellbeing, is the shareholder with some thousands of shares or the director/stack holder with hundreds of millions / billions of shares?

Oga fbnh is a viable company those who don't like the policies of the company should go and sell there shares instead of disrupting the business activities of fbn. Or better still vote against the policy during the AGM.

Yes AGM must hold but the date can be changed if the need arises.

We are expecting their corporate action tomorrow.

The result was not audited so don't expect any interim dividend. Except they will still release the audited account later. But I don't see that happening.

I just logged in now and realized that Morgan Capital is yet to effect change of ref. prices as per today's market. I believe this is the same for everyone that uses MC. Hopefully, they'll get it sorted over the weekend or next Monday.

They are just trying to cover up for their sin I have been using their platform for ten years now and this has always been their style.

They will come up around noon after they are done buying. Just check your email in the afternoon for their appology letter.
