tmamuda:supposed to be sent to you automatically. Are you sure your data is on ? |
ibisko04:let me allow you in on a secret, there's NO CORRUPTION WAR GOING ON quote me anywhere. The only thing happening now is that the administration as a new government is consolidating it's hold on power by ruffling feathers of those powerful enough to cause it problems. Right now it's only negotiations and compromises that are taking place, these people (APC/PDP leadership) are all club members who know where they meet. I can say it to Buhari's face that if he really really needed convictions, the incriminating documents are already on his table even his own case files from his tenure in the military as minister etc. Do not underestimate even the police that we ridicule here everyday talk less of the DSS. We should only support this administration for the peace of this nation but not unto turning into a tyrant/dictatorship |

OrlandoOwoh:SMH ![]() Put this at the back of your mind when you advocate for nonsense in government. "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely...", John Dalberg-Acton |
ibisko04:I understand what you mean but the reason why we practice the rule of law is so that we don't turn into a lawless society. In this case if a govt decides to use "illegal means" to fight corruption, it could quickly lead to despotism in the sense that the term and scope of "illegality" hasn't and cannot be clearly defined . You'll therefore create an extremely powerful tyrant (think Idi Amin, Mussolini, Hitler et al) who'll use the garb of corruption fighting to haunt down and most certainly kill opponents and ANY other dissenting voice. Now the onus is on we the citizenry to ask for judicial reforms and empowerment of the anti corruption agencies to fast track corruption cases. Reforms should also include commensurate punishments for different levels of corruption. This is a no brainer |

OrlandoOwoh:have they been exhausted ? |
OrlandoOwoh:you're dancing round my question. I asked have the legal options available to Nigeria been exhausted ? The circumstances Lee operated in from the 1950s into the early 2000s are not feasible in modern democracies either in Nigeria or any other part of the world. If you're serious about nabbing treasury looters then do things in the proper way, there's already a provision for that. If the provisions are not enough, the constitution can be amended. We're not in a military regime and we'll never go back that route |
tuale4u:I asked if legal options have been exhausted and not who did what. It's pretty easy getting things like this sorted out with convictions to boot legally and not this present charade going on. |
And I thought twitter Orubebe was going to get that position |
tuale4u:and have the legal options available been exhausted ? Be careful what you support or advocate |
The APC is a threat to Nigeria as a whole, their antecedents before and after the elections is enough proof. The state of Nigeria and her economy just a few months under their watch reminds one of the devil and his motives i.e. to steal, kill and destroy (unarmed protesters, unarmed Shiites, Nigerian economy et al). |
clemzo101:I understand how you feel, it's a risk you took. Maybe he'll give you your order and maybe he won't it's only God who can judge man. Starting Wednesday, Feb. 10, Twitter users will login to find several tweets from the past few hours that Twitter thinks they are most likely to interact with. Below that, they'll see the traditional timeline in reverse chronological order. (Reuters) Well, Twitter fans. The apocalypse has come. Twitter's reordered timeline is here. And it's, um, not so bad, actually. In a company blog post, Twitter engineering manager Mike Jahr said that "important" messages can now be more or less pinned to the top of your timeline, a design that's meant to make sure that you see the messages that matter most when you log in. Plus -- and this is important -- the new timeline order can be turned off. Users interested in having a few recommended messages pulled out of their stream will be able to head into their Settings menu and choose an option that says, "Show me the best Tweets first." If you decide it's not showing you what you want, you can turn it off. [Twitter isn’t Facebook, but Wall Street expects it to be. That’s a problem.] The new timeline is an option only in Twitter's iOS and Android apps and on the Web, meaning clients such as TweetDeck are not affected. Before Twitter was a multi-billion dollar tech juggernaut, it was a small short-form messaging service designed to allow users to update their social status with their phone. (Erin Patrick O'Connor/The Washington Post) So how does Twitter determine what's an important message and what isn't? According to a company help page, Twitter chooses which messages should be reordered by looking at elements such as the "accounts you interact with most" and "Tweets you engage with." Messages will still be recent, Jahr said, and other messages will still appear under the pinned tweets in reverse chronological order. Even if you do have the feature turned on, reloading your stream will let you see new tweets in the normal reverse-chronological order. "At any point, just pull-to-refresh to see all new Tweets at the top in the live, up-to-the-second experience you already know and love," Jahr wrote. [Twitter says it’s shut down more than 125,000 accounts promoting ISIS since mid-2015] According to Jahr's post, the feature has already prompted people who've tested it to "Retweet and Tweet more, creating more live commentary and conversations, which is great for everyone." The rollout of this feature comes as Twitter has been feeling pressure from investors and advertisers who'd like to see the network be friendlier to new users who may find its fast-flowing streams overwhelming. Being able to get some grasp on what is or is not important could help make the site more accessible. Missing important tweets? Twitter's got a new option for you. (Photo illustration by Mary Turner/Getty Images) The company is also highlighting the new timeline's value to advertisers. In its advertising blog, the company emphasized that brands can use the "important message" feature to more effectively reach their account's followers. "Today, we're launching an improved timeline to help people see Tweets that are important to them — from their favorite athletes, musicians, politicians, or brands," wrote product marketing manager Eric Farkas. The option to turn the feature on should roll out to all users Wednesday. Jahr's post said the company will be turning the feature on for everyone in the "coming weeks." And don't worry, you will know when the new timeline is turned on for your account. "Look out for a notification in your timeline," Jahr wrote.
