All I wanted was an apology from Buhari but it never came till today. Its on record that CPC agents went round police stations in the north bailing people who were arrested for the bloody mayhem of 2011. Even if the average Nigerian forgets easily, I wont do so.

...."I think we just have to look at what we earn as a country and what our budget had been in these few years, and see how possible it is and if everything we earned is not up to that within the period she has been the minister, which is about three to four years, (how can that be?)...." I asked this same question a few days ago when this controversy first started and just like Lamido Sanusi, I'm beginning to doubt me Soludo's qualifications. The dude is hilarious

I don't think inec is really interested in distributing the pvc's because in Rivers state for example, their adhoc staff are told that there is no money to pay them so any gratification they expect will only come from the communities where the cards are distributed (sold @200 naira) besides there is no proper enlightenment of the people to even know what is going on

oluspencer:go and argue with your ancestors then come back and open another thread on your allegations ![]() |
spott:don't derail this thread Mr man |
This is the best route inec should have stuck with from the get go |
Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of late singing legend Whitney Houston, was fighting for her life Monday after she was pulled unconscious from a bathtub over the weekend, her family said. The 21-year-old’s husband and a friend found her non-responsive in the bathtub of her home near Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday in an incident with eerie echoes of her mother’s drowning in a Los Angeles tub in 2012. “Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family,” the Houston family said in a statement provided to US media. There has been no official word of Brown’s condition, but several US media outlets including CNN and the TMZ.com entertainment news site have cited family sources as saying she was in a medically induced coma. “We are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time,” the family statement added. “Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, and we greatly appreciate your continued support.” Whitney Houston died in February 2012 when she was found in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on the eve of the music industry’s annual Grammy Awards show. Coroners concluded she died by accidental drowning, with cocaine use and heart disease as contributing factors. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/02/whitney-houstons-daughter-fighting-life/ |

Gov. Sule Lamido of Jigawa on Tuesday said he was still a card carrying member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Lamido made the declaration at a PDP governorship rally in Kaugama, Kaugama Local Government Area, Jigawa. The governor made the declaration against insinuations that he would ditch the party for the All Progressive Party (APC) following his meeting with Rivers Governor, Rotimi Amechi. Gov Sule Lamido Lamido stressed that he was a PDP member and would intensify campaign for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan and other candidates of the party. He said he had cautioned Amechi on the dangers associated with smear campaigns among politicians, which was inimical to the growth of democratic governance in the country. “If Amechi, a Southerner and a Christian is campaigning for Gen. Muhammadu Buhari of the APC; I do not see any wrong for me, a northerner and Muslim to campaign for President Jonathan. “Leadership comes from God. And in his divine wisdom made people of northern and southern extraction to live in one land, our dear country, Nigeria. “We are one and we should not allow some disgruntled elements using politics, religion and ethnicity to cause disaffection among our people. “Ignore what they are saying; it is frivolous and cheap lies to deceive voters. “They said I do not care for the north and called me a pastor, but it does not bother me,” Lamido said. He said the founding fathers had fought for the nation’s independence irrespective of creed or religious affiliations. and therefore, Nigerians should unite for peace and progress of the country. The governor advised the electorate to vote for credible and patriotic leaders, who would render selfless service and move the country forward. “You should not be deceived by the smear campaigns. Vote for credible people, those who respect human rights, ensure accountability and transparency in governance. “I advise you to vote wisely,” he said, adding that the PDP led-administration had brought positive development in the country in the last 16 years. Also speaking, the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the state, Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim, pledged to consolidate on the feat achieved by Lamido’s administration. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/02/still-pdp-member-gov-lamido/

Chadian ground troops on Tuesday crossed into Nigeria for the first time as part of an offensive against Boko Haram Islamists, an AFP correspondent saw. Armoured vehicles and infantry crossed a bridge that links the Cameroonian town of Fotokol with Nigerian town of Gamboru, which has been taken back over the weekend from the jihadists who occupied it for several months, according to Nigerian national security spokesman Mike Omeri.
