Nairaland General › Re: Special Codes To Format Text On Nairaland by Tatarison(m): 10:41am On Dec 06, 2019 |
Dioxidane: This is for those who are not familiar with text editing codes on Nairaland or on any other forum. Sometimes we see guys that comment with red or blue text or comment with a different font. By the time you finish reading this post, you should be able to do same. Now let's begin.
The general one is to make a text Bold, Italicized, Underlined, or Struck-through. Put b in an enclosed bracket [], write your text, then end with => bold Put i in an enclosed bracket [], write your text, then end with => Italics Put u in an enclosed bracket [], write your text, then end with . => Underline Put s in an enclosed bracket [], write your text, then end with [/s] => Strike-Through
The next is changing the color of a text. Put color=red in an enclosed bracket [], write your text, then end with . => Red Put color=blue in an enclosed bracket [], write your text, then end with . => Blue Put color=green in an enclosed bracket [], write your text, then end with .=> Green
Another code involves increasing the size of the text. Put size=12 in an enclosed bracket [], write your text, then end with .=> Twelve Another code involves changing the font of the text. Put font=Courier New in an enclosed bracket [], write your text, and end with . => Dioxidane Put font=Times New Roman in an enclosed bracket [], write your text, and end with .=> Dioxidane Put font=Lucida Console in an enclosed bracket [], write your text, and end with . => Dioxidane e.t.c
Now let's try out these codes in the comment section and see how they work. P.S: Please add anyone I omitted...

harjorlarh: thanks very much for your prompt response,a Friend of mine said they are biased towards Christian please is this true? It's a lie. A lot of Christians study there (in the College of Health Sciences). Just prepare well for the Jamb and try to be the best from your state and admission will be yours |

harjorlarh: am also going for udusok next year how is the admission for non catchment areas,i would also like to know . UDUSOK uses "only" UTME for Admission consideration. If you're not from catchment area please aim for 300+ in Jamb, also, there are catchment areas that are VERY competitive. Places like Kogi, Niger, Benue, Kaduna...don't be surprised to see someone from Niger who had 280 in Jamb being offered Applied Chemistry just becos others from his own state had 300... . UDUSOK is a nice school and very anti-social. Their medical facilities are great. Plus, their quota is only 100 |

Mandeyy: I disagree with you on this, please. A person cannot be caught because of this, and his course is thereafter changed to another course. So, I don't believe you. Either he provides his genuine certificate of origin or loses the admission. Understand my point: people can bear any name today that is not reflective of where they hail from. So, based on their names and appearance, you cannot deny them admission because they don't look like your people or bear names suggestive of their origin, insofar as they present genuine certificate of origin. Denying them admission is wickedness. Besides, govt should pass a law that will enable people to have the rights an indigene has, insofar as he/she was born and brought up in that state. Like I said, good luck |
Education › Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Tatarison(m): 10:14am On Jul 16, 2019 |
Mandeyy: It's a lie. The world is developed now. Anybody can bear any name. Will you tell Victor Moses that he's a White man just because he bears English name? Besides, someone can bear a Nassarawa name whereas he's from Sokoto. Migration and inter-tribal marriage have erased that. For instance, in Igboland, some Ebonyi people now bear surnames of Anambra people. It can happen in the North just because they don't take all these factors into consideration. OK, good luck. I saw a guy whose pharmacy admission was changed to Applied chemistry because he is Igbo using a Nasarawa indigene cert. If you can maneuver your way through, good luck but if you try that in UDUSOK, they'll catch you and worse case cancel your admission. That's why it is called a "provisional admission" if you don't meet the requirements, the admission will be withdrawn. |
Education › Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Tatarison(m): 9:30am On Jul 16, 2019 |
Mandeyy: How would you know when he wrote he's an indigene and got a genuine certificate of origin from the local govt? Besides, he was born and brought up there, coupled with the fact that his mother is an indigene too. The name he used, his appearance will give it away. There are some people from the North, say Nasarawa state, if those applicants use Sokoto or Kebbi state indigene cert, those issuing the admission letter will find them out and deny them the admission. They've been doing this for years, you can't fool them |
Education › Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Tatarison(m): 6:09pm On Jul 15, 2019 |
Mandeyy: Suppose a student used a state of origin certificate other than his real state of origin to gain admission, in order to benefit from the low school fee the indigenes pay, can it be used to expel the student? If it were UDUSOK, he wouldn't even be able to collect the admission letter. His admission will be considered null. |

Oladele2393: As we all know the process as began for the admission of new students into the University(Ambrose Alli university) the school pume is out for new jambite and Direct entry students, so kindly go to get your form before it's too late. Eligible students with jamb score above 180 can apply for any courses including medical courses. I'm definitely a living testimony I got my admission with just 204 in JAMB and if you have any questions as regards the application form you can join the what's app group also for aspirant.... https:///FpyLNgOsHjMKFORlckmFMH You had connection? |

Last year a guy had 320 in JAMB and 258 or so in POST UTME. Now, that is 289 aggregate, he wasn't from catchment, he didn't get MBBS. Another lady had 299 in JAMB and 303 in POST UTME with an aggregate of 301. Now, the lady wasn't from catchment as well, from Edo state precisely and she got in... MBBS. . Abu doesn't give a sh*t what you got in JAMB, if you can't defend the score with a higher mark in post UTME, they don't know you |
Education › Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Tatarison(m): 12:43pm On Jun 29, 2019 |
Prominentp: AbuZaria 207.... MBBS??.... Please, he should come and tell us the whole story. Getting medicine in Abu with 207 without connection is 95% impossible except he got it in the early 2000's. It's either God did miracle or he worked his way through. 207 in JAMB and 312 in POST UTME, that is 519÷2= 258. And that year, Abu Zaria admission cut off for catchment area was 250. I don't know why people find it difficult to believe. |

mtcheeeeeeeew. Musty001 on this forum got into Abu Zaria with 207 as JAMB score. Aliandro on this forum got into Unilag MBBS with 233. Without connection, they both did well in post utme. Musty had 312 or so in post utme. Aliandro had 75% or so in post utme. You're welcome to read their posts... Shalom! |

donaldking10: to be frank with you, 241 can't get u a competitive course like MBBS in any Nigerian university. you needed to score at least 270 to have stood a chance. I'll advice you to do a change of course to a lesser course like med'lab, anatomy or Physiology before it's too late. Your perspective I guess. Even in top federal universities he stands a chance only if he can clear doubts by doing exceedingly well in their post utme |

It's stupid to do that. There're fighting for the students. You think the Fed Gov't give a sh*t about Nigerian students They send their own outside the country to study, so if you like protest and get yourself killed it won't reduce the price of handout in your school |
