Very laughable in fact
It vexes me, amuses me all at the same time to know my people still think this way. I've learned that there is no rushing the process of "evolution" of the mind. It may take a couple of generations or more. Make everybody do him own dey go.

Have you heard of sleep walking before? some people drive, eat, do all sorts of funny things while asleep. That's why some people find pieces of food when they wake from sleep......we usually attribute this to spiritual attack.

It still baffles me why people don't believe in Spirituality of life/universe…especially most educated people.

Someone will go to an herbalist to perform some rituals and suddenly becomes rich overnight…that's logical right?… To be spiritually dumb is a bad thing. undecided
This is baffling, please tell me more.

Believe it or not the supernatural is very real. Why should the owl only target the governor if it's an ordinary owl?
laughable

You don't even need to study anything related to agric to know that cockerels can never lay eggs , you have time to be responding to them
I can take it when people are simply wrong or ignorant of something as we can't know it all. But when people become conceited in their ignorance, I don't suffer "them" lightly.

The fact that you agreed to the fact that roosters could lay eggs belies that. If we don't know something or aren't sure of something... we find out or google or read up on that thing before displaying ignorance.....i studied agronomy, a dept in the faculty of Agriculture.

Get outta my mention, you unbranded idiot.
Did you just learn those words? dunce ... who thinks feeding roosters steroids would make them lay eggs. You might as well squeeze water out of a piece of rock.

Go and ask around before you start showcasing your empty head.
Funny how empty Your Own head is.... and still you calling someone else empty head. Throw away whatever certificate you hold or sell it to the nearest Akara seller.... it's useless.
CareerRe: Entrepreneurs Are Ruining Morales Of Employees by Tayeni(m):
What some employees don't know is that some business men don't depend on the particular business you work at. . The OP talks about some employers sending their kids abroad to study, has he stopped to ask himself.... maybe the source of Mr boss' wealth is not from Mr employee's struggling unit?

why would you expect your salary to rise, if the bottomline has not risen. Everything still boils down to how hard it is to scrape a buck of profit in Naija.
BusinessRe: Nigerian Graduates Are Highly Employable; Govt And Employers Are Liars by Tayeni(m): 10:58am On Jan 19, 2020
You are contradicting yourself where you said the laboratories in tertiary institutions are empty.....therefore churning out graduates who have no practical skills... joo, is that kind of graduate employable?

The fact remains that 80% of Nigerian graduates are poorly educated, therefore unemployable. Whose fault? that is the one million dollar question.

EducationRe: Alhikmah University Slashes School Fees Pics Attached by Tayeni(m): 1:55pm On Jan 12, 2020
jedisco:
It would be interesting to know why it was slashed.
Is it due to low demand and few students, or have they accessed funding by other means?
Or perhaps, do they think their previous fees were exorbitant
I think what happened was that they targeted a very narrow market(students from the north). And now that private schools are springing up in the north too, people see no reason to travel that far for the quality of education offered.

there ain't no stopping this ish in Africa as a whole, till the world ends tho....

I do not encourage it(please, just quote me wisely or do not at all),buh it would still be there, even after our great-grandchildren's father's.....
You maybe right... because we can't predict the future.... but one thing I am certain of is this: If we remain with this belief, Africa will forever remain a slave to the rest of the world... in education, economy, technology and all aspects of human endeavour.

It two side of a coin...

Some people might be sensitized through watching those kinda movies...have you seen any movie that has to do with blood money..that those involved died well?
As long as those films promote the "efficacy" of blood money.... doesn't matter if they died well or not, you will have people who are willing to risk the consequences. Those movies are not "sensitizing"....but perpetuating ignorance.

What I think they do is...induce it(cloud, moving in the direction of Jakarta) to fall before it gets to Jakarta
FashionRe: Alex Olusanya: FG Must Ban Imported Dresses To Boost The Fashion Industry by Tayeni(m): 11:17am On Dec 21, 2019
Reference:
Totally disagree. The fashion industry is a section of the arts and crafts industry which is part of the creative industry and should not be subject to discrimination. Their products are more or less intellectual property so competition is more of ideas and inspiration, abstract not tangibke. The physical clothes and wares represent just a minute fraction of the effort that goes into production. Without competition intellectual property is worthless, without peer review intellectual capacity is stagnated.

What goverment should do enhance the creative industry is to ensure intellectual property is protected and artists are well incentified. Actual industrial production then may or may not be domiciled in Nigeria. The great fashion brands and fashion commodity companies of the world still thrive despite Asian industrial muscle. As a matter of fact most of them have their factories in Asia but that represents just a fraction of the value of the brand except for cheapest t-shirts.

Nigerian creative artistes must step up their and take branding seriously. Branding drives the fashion industry and branding is driven by creativity. They should make the necessary sacrifices in the studios and let the Asian sweat shops do the rest. We have huge untapped potentials in bringing our culture to the world and incorporating them into modern fashion to create new lines of interest. I have seen a couple of takers and their pieces look fantastic. They just need to know how to brand properly, produce efficently and market asiduously. We donot need to turn Nigeria into a Communist state to develop. We donot need this slippery slope that will end up seeking the banning cable tv, coca-cola and corollas. Haba.

Creativity can fend for itself.
As a country we will never grow the capacity and muscle to compete if the industries are not protected from economies that are wag ahead of us by fair or foul means. Do you know what dumping is? they sabotage your economy and make you a perpetual buyer(slave). Espionage and sabotage can't be said not to be some of the troubles we are having having, including self-inflicted ones.
Our economy is a baby. You don't pit a baby against giants on steroids. You have to nurture, train your baby in a safe environment first before sending him out to compete

Some of you here don't even trust their mum or even family. Yes! I know this because i was shocked when a lady once told me that whenever she's traveling to see her pple she tells no one not even her mum. I was gobsmacked! I asked y say that...she told me "no one is to be trusted not even your parents, the world is evil"... This is Nigeria,i respected her opinion.

So those supporting their delawoods should shut up already!
That lady you described up there is the type that will harm or disown their mother or child because a stupid pastor told them " their mother is doing them" .

Mike will always have a problem with people’s beliefs. Frodd has no problem with Mike’s trust in people. But yet Mike has a problem with Frodd’s adherence to the “trust no one” policy!
You don't tell your mother..."mom I trust you 70%". or your spouse "I trust/love you 80%". There are some things you don't say to those you love.
