FOUNDATION LAUNCHES DIGITAL LITERACY PROGRAM FOR YOUTHS, CYBERSECURITY AWARENESS INITIATIVE FOR YOUTHS ACROSS NIGERIA
Abuja, Nigeria - The Ibitayo Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the digital divide in Nigeria, is proud to announce its launch and introduction of two flagship programs.
Digital Literacy Skills Program
The foundation is launching a digital literacy skills program for 20 selected applicants, chosen from a pool of 200, to acquire skills in mobile photography, mobile video editing, and using Artificial Intelligence (AI) for digital content creation. This program aims to equip youths with the necessary skills to thrive in the digital economy.
Cybersecurity Awareness Initiative
In collaboration with Hendon College Abuja, The Ibitayo Foundation is organizing a 4-day cybersecurity awareness program, titled "Cybersecurity Awareness: Protecting You & Your Device in the Digital Age", starting on November 7th. This initiative aims to educate participants on the importance of cybersecurity and provide practical tips on protecting themselves and their devices from cyber threats.
MISSION STATEMENT
In a statement, The Founder, Engr Ibitayo Taiwo said the Foundation is committed to empowering Nigerians, especially youths, with digital literacy skills, incubation, and cybersecurity awareness, to enhance their economic prospects and contribute to the country's digital transformation.
PROGRAM DETAILS
Digital Literacy Skills Program:
- Duration: 1 Month
- Location: Abeokuta Ogun State
- Eligibility: Youths aged 18-30

Cybersecurity Awareness Program:
- Date: November 7-8th and 14th -15th November 2024.
- Time: 12pm - 2pm daily
- Location: Hendon College Abuja

I reach out to my phone and dialed 112 emergency number, in secounds a lady picked up the call, i gave her my story, fire! she collected my details; name, address, i gave her. she now asked of the address of the resident on fire, I gave her. Would you believe in about 15 minutes fire fighters arrived with their siren blasting, and assisted in quenching the already spreading fire. I was like wow! in this country?

In Abuja, it takes them 10 minutes to get anywhere. Perhaps cos of the traffic in Lag.
