does invitation letter required for sightseeing (tourist visa ?)

Morning Fellow nairalanders......i am planing to visit china during my next annual leave by june..i need guild and assistance on how to secure the tourism visa i want to do it myself. i know with the help and assistant of nairaland i shall be gulded well , cos i do my uk visa and south africa visa myself with information on nairaland travel ....please PPLE SHOULD give me detail required document and information...i work with oil gas coy has group internal auditor.
