SportsKeshi: I Am Proud Of My Achievements With Eagles by Tbillz(op): 10:10am On Oct 23, 2014
Former Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen
Keshi, has said that he is proud of his
achievements during his spell as Nigeria’s
manager.
In a chat with ESPN football pundit, Colin Udoh,
the former Togo and Mali gaffer said that
despite criticism of him in the media that he
drew most of Eagles last matches, he did what
most indigenous coaches were afraid of doing
at the Eagles job.
“People keep saying I drew a lot of matches. But
how many Nigerian coaches agreed to play
friendly matches all the time. Or to use home-
based players without fear but people don't see
that. Every time it's Keshi this and Keshi that.
He also said he was happy that the drama was
finally over, as was his family.
“I am not bitter. I'm just disappointed in some of
you,” he pointed out, referring to journalists.
“Now people can stop talking about Keshi.”
Speaking also about those accusing him of
name-dropping to harass the Nigeria Football
Federation chiefs into doing his bidding, Keshi
insisted that he had no access to President
Goodluck Jonathan during his time on the job.
“Then they say I always try to use the President
against them. President that I cannot even see!”
Keshi revealed some of his handicaps while on
the Nigerian job.
“How many good pitches do we have in this
country? We say we are a football nation and
we don't even have good training pitches for the
national team, or good field to play on.
“Instead, there are artificial pitches everywhere,
even the new stadium in Uyo, it was when I
heard from the governor (Dr Godswill Akpabio)
that they wanted to lay artificial turf on the
facility that I had to shout and tell him no way.
That was why we now have natural grass on
that pitch there. But why should I be the one to
say it? Where are the journalists?” queried the
ex-international fondly called the Big Boss.
Meanwhile, Ethiopian Football Association
yesterday rubbished speculations that the
country desperately needed Keshi to handle the
Walya Antelopes. They said that they never
approached Keshi nor even receive any
application from him.

ABUJA, Oct 23 (Reuters) - A bomb exploded at a
bus station in northern Nigeria's Bauchi state
overnight, killing at least five people and wounding
12, police said.
The blast, which struck the town of Azare late on
Wednesday, is likely to be blamed on Islamist
Boko Haram militants, casting further doubt on
government reports that it had reached a
temporary ceasefire with the rebels in order to
release 200 schoolgirls they are holding hostage.
Police did not comment on who was behind the
attack.

PhonesApple Iphone 6 Bends, Causing A Second Degree Burn On A Man's Leg by Tbillz(op): 8:17pm On Oct 22, 2014
Phillip Lecther was riding a pettiicab when all off
a sudden, the vehicle was involved in an
accident. Instead of being being ejected from
the cab, the force of the accident slammed
Lechter against the wall of the cabin he was
riding in. This force caused the Apple iPhone 6 in
Lechter's front pocket, which was nestled inside
a leather case, to bend and catch on fire.
While not every bent phone will puncture the
battery, in this case, it did. The subsequent fire
caused a second-degree burn on Lechter's leg
measuring 11.5cm x 10.5cm in size, surrounded
by an area of first-degree burns. Being
ensconced in a leather case didn't protect the
iPhone 6 from getting bent.
It would seem that if this incident proves
anything, it is that a smartphone that bends not
only looks pretty bad, it also can cause serious
bodily harm to the user. In defense of the
iPhone 6, the force of the impact might have
damaged other smartphones as well.
Unfortunately, because of the previous reports
detailing how easily the Apple iPhone 6 Plus
bends
, the first thing that comes to mind is that the
build quality of the iPhone 6 was somehow
responsible for what occured.

PoliticsPolice Prevent Bringbackourgirls Group From Marching To Presidential Villa by Tbillz(op): 2:29pm On Oct 15, 2014
The police on Tuesday in Abuja frustrated
moves by the BringBackOurGirls group to march
to the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to engage with
Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, on
efforts of the security agencies to rescue the
219 Chibok schoolgirls in Boko Haram
captivity.The protesters were stopped from
accessing the villa gate and their protest was
restricted to the Yakubu Gowon Crescent,
Asokoro, Abuja, where they were addressed by
an all-female government delegation, including
the Minister for Women Affairs, Hajia Zainab
Maina, the Minister of Environment, Mrs.
Lawrencia Laraba-Mallam, the Minister of Land
and Housing, Mrs. Akon Eyakenyi, and the
Minister of Water Resources, Mrs. Sarah
Ochekpe.
Nigeria’s Punch newspaper report on
Wednesday said that Maina, while addressing
the movement said that the Federal
Government was doing everything possible to
ensure the safe release of the schoolgirls.
“We are here to meet you because Mr.
President is very busy today and he cannot
come out. The government is trying all it could
to make sure that these girls are brought back.
They are our daughters.
“We are all mothers; as much as it hurts you, it
hurts us. You know as well as we do that some
of you are very much aware of the efforts that
the government has been making to make sure
that these our daughters are brought back
alive,” she said.
But the Coordinator of the group and former
Nigeria’s Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili,
accused the ministers of colluding with the
police to prevent the protesters from meeting
with President Jonathan.
The schoolgirls were abducted since April this
year by Boko Haram insurgents. And despite
global outcry against the abduction of these
girls, they are still in captivity.

PhonesMajor Difference Between Androidjellybean 4.3 And Kitkat 4.4 by Tbillz(op): 12:19pm On Oct 12, 2014
We already know that Google had recently
launched its latest version of android device
known as Android 4.4 KitKat. There are number
of questions like what the main difference
between Jellybean 4.3 is? and how Google has
increased features and specifications. Here this
article tells about the difference between
Android Jellybean 4.3 and Android KitKat 4.4
versions.
The comparison between Android 4.3 and
4.4
Notification bar
The main feature of notice bar has been
changed, as in the past version of 4.3 Jelly Bean
it was in blue color, but now in the Android 4.4
Kitkat it has accompanied white shade symbols
like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and others will look like
same as 4.3.
Application Drawer
Some application symbols, for example, Google
Settings, Voice Search and YouTube are already
modified while new applications like Quick
office are currently local within Android 4.4
Kitkat that you are not able to find in Android
4.3. Apart from this, the Apps and Widgets tabs
are the similar and also the Google Play Store
symbol stays on its original location at the upper
right part of the application drawer.
Clock, Stopwatch and Timer UI
There is small difference between android 4.4
and android 4.3 stopwatch I.e. font size has
been modified and more centered in your
device. While the clock has been changed from
bottom and also alarm clock moved from top of
the left corner. In android 4.3, the alarm came
from the bottom. The clock is little bit similar
with Android 4.3 aside from the less strong
textual style, bottom setting of letters, more
adjusted numerals and greater begin catch at
the lowest part.
Downloads App
The entire theme of the download applications
for android 4.3 has been changed. We already
know that in android 4.3 version download app
background theme is black color and also menu
list of download apps located back of the apps.
While android 4.4 KitKat version, the
background theme is fully white color and it
display total full screen in your device.

can be available in the settings menu. If you
want to modify these options, you can also
enable and disable the cloud print feature at
any time.

Android 4.4 version provides Quick Office
application, this consists some functions such as
latest files, open particular file coming from and
make new file.
Settings Menu
The Wireless & Networks section will be the
same in the android 4.4. The Device section
provides features known as “Home” and “Tap &

HealthEbola In Europe: What Went Wrong by Tbillz(op): 1:05pm On Oct 08, 2014
In Spain where a nurse came down with the
extremely disease, all the people concerned are
trying to prove they did nothing wrong. Nothing
could be farther from the truth.
OME, Italy — When Teresa Romero Ramos, the
Spanish nurse now afflicted with the deadly
Ebola virus, first felt feverish on September 30,
she reportedly called her family doctor and told
him she had been working with Ebola patients.
Her fever was low-grade, just 38 degrees
Celsius, far enough below the 38.6 degree Ebola
red alert temperature to not cause alarm. Her
doctor told her to take two aspirin, keep an eye
on her fever and keep in touch, according to
Spanish press reports quoting Romero’s
husband Limón Romero. He says she didn’t
initially exhibit any of the other Ebola
symptoms: vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, and she
didn’t feel sick enough to stay in bed.
Romero was on holiday leave from her work at
the Carlos III hospital in Madrid and she and her
husband were scheduled to go on a short
vacation, but he hurt his leg and they decided to
stay close to home instead. She used her time
off work to run errands and catch up with
friends. She also sat a government civil service
exam with 20,000 other people to try to win a
better job placement at the hospital, according
to Spain’s El País newspaper, which also reports
that Romero discussed her slight fever and how
she was feeling sick with friends and colleagues.
According to El País, she talked incessantly
about what the Ebola threshold was and, since
she was far below it, they assured her not to
worry—advice she apparently wanted to hear.
In retrospect, it would seem, standard
thresholds don’t apply to people who were in
direct contact with the disease like Romero, who
was on the treatment team for two Spanish
priests who were repatriated to Spain from
Sierra Leone in August and September. Father
Manuel García Viejo, 69, died on September 25.
Romero was in his room just twice—once to
change a soiled diaper and another after he
died when she was tasked with removing his
belongings to be destroyed.
Now Europe is grappling with its worst fear—the
threat of an Ebola outbreak. And even the
authorities can’t argue it won’t happen.
Zsuzsanna Jakab, the Europe director for the
World Health Organization, told Reuters that
more cases of Ebola in Europe were “most
likely” to happen. “Such imported cases and
similar events as have happened in Spain will
happen also in the future, most likely,” he told
Reuters by phone from her Copenhagen office.
“It is quite unavoidable.” He blamed the
inevitable outbreak on both extensive travel
between Europe and the affected African
countries, and the increasing number of victims
being brought to Europe for treatment.
It is highly likely that Romero will have infected
at least one other person, probably her
husband, because she was not isolated
immediately. Even in African nations with
limited resources hardest hit with the epidemic,
isolation is well known to be the first line of
defense against the virus that has killed more
than 7,500 people so far.
That Romero was allowed to mingle in public
after reporting a fever when she was within the
known incubation period for the virus is
unacceptable. But what makes Romero’s case
particularly troubling is that Spanish health
authorities and the hospital where she worked
appear complicit in not immediately isolating
her.
“What next, will they sacrifice me, too?”
Spain’s health minister Ana Mato says “all
possible measures” are in place to stop the
spread of the virus, assuring the public that
Romero “was not contagious” because her fever
wasn’t high enough. That will do little to calm
the fears of the more than 50 people now under
surveillance who were in contact with her
before she was finally taken out of circulation.
European Commission spokesman Frederic
Vincent told reporters on Tuesday that the
Spanish authorities have a lot to answer for.
“Spain told us all the protocols have been
followed, but obviously something wrong
happened,” he said at a press conference.
According to Spanish press reports quoting the
Spanish nurses’ union, Romero called Carlos III
hospital several times between September 30
and October 2 when her fever finally hit the
38.6 threshold. Still, it took until October 6 when
she had become so deathly ill she was begging
for an Ebola test before anyone at the hospital
where she worked reportedly reacted. Then,
rather than immediately isolating her and
rushing her to the special ward used to treat the
previous Ebola patients, they told her to go to
the nearby emergency room at Alcorcón, where
press reports say she sat in the public waiting
room for several hours absent of any protective
gear. “I think I have ebola,” she reportedly told
anyone who would listen. But no one took
notice until her first test came back positive. By
then, dripping with fevered sweat, she would
have been inarguably contagious.
Spain’s El Mundo newspaper was able to reach
Romero by cellphone from her hospital bed on
Tuesday, from where she uttered monosyllabic
responses to their questions until she was too
tired to hold up the phone. “Yes,” she told the
paper she followed protocols put in place. “No,”
she said, she had no idea how she got the
disease. She is being treated with the antibodies
of Ebola patients who survived, which has
become a standard WHO approved treatment
for the virus, which has no known cure.
El Mundo was also able to reach Romero’s
husband, who is in isolation in the same
hospital. He complained that not only has their
house been cordoned off and “fumigated” but
most of the neighbors have fled in fear. He also
said police intend to put their beloved family
pet, a Staffordshire bull terrier named Excalibur,
to sleep. He even launched a Facebook
campaign on an animal welfare page from his
hospital room to try to save the pet. “I won’t give
permission, and they said that if I don’t they will
get a court order to kill the dog,” he told El
Mundo. “What next, will they sacrifice me, too?”
Romero’s husband says that his wife followed all
available protocols to keep herself safe while
she treated the two Spanish priests who both
died of Ebola in the hospital where she worked,
but he implied the hospital did not offer enough
protection.
Carlos III director Yolanda Fuentes told El País
that the biohazard suits they provided did
indeed conform with safety protocols
established by the World Health Organization
and the Spanish Ministry of Health. But the
Spanish press report that the hospital was
underequipped to handle cases and that rather
than the Level IV suits they require, the Carlos
III hospital only had Level II gear. The World
Health Organization requires that hospitals
taking Ebola patients wear impermeable gloves,
goggles, biohazard suits with closed wrist
openings and head gear with breathing
apparatuses. Even in the African nations where
supplies are at a premium, medical workers
know to use duct tape to close the sleeves of
their suits.
According to El Pais the Carlos III hospital did
not make those suits available and instead they
were given latex gloves and adhesive tape.
They also reported that the human waste from
the Ebola patients was transported to the
medical incinerator in the same elevators used
by unprotected staff. The BBC reports that
Spanish health workers have staged a
demonstration waving signs in their inadequate
biohazard suits to protest the apparent safety
failures. For Romero and the scores of people
she may have infected before she was isolated,
those failures could prove to be fatal.

PhonesSamsung Smartphone Sales Take A Beating by Tbillz(op): 8:36pm On Oct 07, 2014
Samsung is being attacked from two different
angles, and the results aren't pretty. The
company warned investors that a downturn in
sales of its smartphones and tablets wreaked
havoc on its quarterly earnings, which it expects
to be about 60% lower than the year-ago
period. Samsung is prepared to record its worst
quarterly profit since the first half of 2011 and is
on track for an earnings drop for the fourth
quarter in a row. Some believe the company's
best days are behind it.
Samsung said sales of its flagship device, the
Galaxy S5, were softer than expected. Further, it
saw margins shrink due to lower average selling
prices and high marketing costs. The company
has a tepid outlook on the important fourth
quarter but predicts the Note 4 smartphone,
which goes on sale in the US next week, will
help lift its numbers a bit.
The company is facing pressure on two fronts.
First, Apple's new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus arrived at
the top of the market last month and have so
far sold in big numbers: 10 million devices in
just the first weekend.
Second, while Apple's resurgence is impacting
sales of Samsung's high-end devices, Chinese
vendors are eating into sales of the company's
low-end devices in the world's largest market
for mobile phones. Companies such as ZTE,
Meizu, and Xiaomi have churned out
inexpensive, high-quality handsets that Chinese
consumers are snapping up in droves.
[Google Glass may find a niche in the
workplace, but it's striking out with
consumers. Read Google Glass And
Consumers: Nothing To See Here
.]
Aleksi Aaltonen, assistant professor of
information systems at Warwick Business
School, told us:
A large part of the growth in smartphones
comes in countries where [ZTE, Meizu, and
Xiaomi] are strong. The change in the market
dynamics has been coming for a few years. It is
important to understand that smartphones have
matured as a technology remarkably quickly. A
few years ago, it was an engineering marvel to
put together a fairly usable smartphone,
whereas today it is common practice.
Most consumers don’t really need more
megapixels and gimmicky features. The screen
size has reached its usable limits. Therefore it
will require more marketing to convince people
to buy a new smartphone apart from replacing
a broken one. This means that the competitive
advantage from being able to manufacture
relatively affordable, yet very capable
smartphones, is vanishing.
Samsung didn't spell out how much it has spent
on marketing over the last few months, but you
can be sure it was a significant amount. The
company has seemingly spared no expense to
poke fun of Apple with TV commercials,
billboards, and guerrilla marketing campaigns at
places such as JFK International Airport.
Sales of smartphones account for approximately
60% of Samsung's overall revenue. With low
sales and high marketing costs, the company is
relying on its other business units, such as
memory chips, to pick up the slack. Earlier this
week, Samsung announced plans to invest $
14.7 billion in a manufacturing facility for mobile
chips. The investment won't help its fourth-
quarter numbers but may help down the line.
At this point, it looks as if Samsung needs all the
help it can get.
Considering how prevalent third-party
attacks are, we need to ask hard questions
about how partners and suppliers are
safeguarding systems and data. In the
Partners' Role In Perimeter Security report,
we'll discuss concrete strategies such as
setting standards that third-party
providers must meet to keep getting your
business, conducting in-depth risk
assessments -- and ensuring that your
network has controls in place to protect
data in case these defenses fail. (Free

Politics"Nigeria Contained Ebola; We Can" US Assures Worried Citizens" by Tbillz(op): 10:06pm On Oct 05, 2014
America is now using how Nigeria
contained the Ebola virus to bolster
confidence in its citizens that the virus
would be contained in the country as
well. Guardian reports:
At a time reference to Nigeria in global
news and international affairs has been
mostly about the unending killings by
terrorists in the Northeast, the Ebola
management seems to be shining some
positive light on Nigeria and its medical
personnel, some of whom paid the
supreme sacrifice to ensure that Ebola
was controlled.
In an effort to bolster the confidence of
its people that Ebola would be contained
in America, few days after a Liberian
national was diagnosed with the deadly
virus, the manner Nigeria handled its
own patients is now being used by the
US government as proof that the virus
would be contained in America as well.
Speaking late Friday afternoon at the
White House at a hurriedly convened
press briefing on the first Ebola case
diagnosed in the US, top White House
officials and US government health
officials were pressed by journalists who
pointed out to the failure of the Texas
Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, where
the Liberian patient went, but was not
immediately diagnosed even though he
had told the medical team in the hospital
of his symptoms and that he had just
returned from Liberia.

RomanceExposed: Ini Edo’s ‘cheating’ Can Of Worms Revealed By Husband’s Relatives by Tbillz(op): 9:58pm On Oct 05, 2014
This is not palatable to the ears at all..and it is
getting messier by the day. Following the
responce the Nollywood actress posted on her
twitter page confirming her marriage break up
with her husband of 5 years and saying she
never cheated on him, the relatives of her ex-
husband have responded to her claims, saying
she is not just a liar but also a serial cheat.
A close family source who is related to Phillip
spoke to a source on the condition of
anonymity:
“Ini Edo should shut up about the marriage
crash because with the way she is going by
trying to paint Phillip as the wrong party, we
may be forced to open her can of worms and it
will not be palatable to her and her career. I can
tell you that Ini Edo is a serial cheat who played
the field behind her husband’s back for the
duration of their marriage. Is she going to deny
she was dating one Island big boy whose
girlfriend organized her friends to beat her up
and injured her?”
Another family source pointed out thus:
“Bros, I can tell you that Ini Edo is not as
innocent as she is trying to make people believe
or think. We caught her on more than three
occasion with three different men and she
always begged us to forgive her.”
“We can even mention some of the men she
had affairs with including a South-South
governor whose wife embarrassed her and
ordered her security to send her out of the
governor’s guest house in the state capital.”
“She should dare us and we will mention the
name of the governor on the pages of
newspapers.”
Another source, a close friend of Phillip also
added his voice to the contentious issue:
“Did she tell you how Phillip embarrassed her in
front of her people when he went to collect his
bride price? He told her people the kind of
adulterous daughter they have and how she
had been cheating on him right from the first
day they were married.”
“In fact, he did not want to collect the bride price
but her people begged him to collect it as that
would free her to get married to another man in
the future.”
All calls to Ini Edo or her publicists to comment
on the new allegations did not yield any positive
results as their phones were switched off.
