My problem with topics concerning phones and computer analyst this days are most youth are either company or self employed marketers, its then hard to detects who's truly analyzing base on facts and not market strategies. From the point you just made @ op we should check specification not just for mega pixel but pay more attention quality of the lens, shutter speed, image processing technology, circuitry and sensor —but the only specification that is notable is the megapixel. Lastly how on earth is 8mp better than 16mp? |
Microsoft uses the phrase, “protect, detect, respond and recover,” to help agencies formulate their cyber security strategy. I thought this was a really interesting way to view cyber security, and great starting point to think through a strategy. Stage one is to protect – so stopping hackers from infiltrating and entering protected systems. Microsoft states that it is critical to have defenses that block malicious software and unauthorized access. The report also states, “In addition, baseline configuration standards must be established and monitored to prevent deviation and noncompliance that can create vulnerabilities in the system.” Stage two is to detect, Microsoft states, “To effectively detect and deter cyber threats, monitoring and analysis tools must provide an overall picture of an environment’s security status. This means not only detecting attacks at the network perimeter but also identifying internal threats—whether suspicious activities or system weaknesses caused by drift away from defined security configurations.” The third stage is to respond in the unfortunate event that your systems have been compromised. During this phases, you should have the tools, staff and resources ready to go so you can quickly assess and mitigate damages. The final step is recovery. This step is critical to getting systems back to speed and understanding how to protect and assess vulnerabilities in your system. Most developed companies will not permit the third stage because the process of responding and recovering has consumed a whole lot of time, with that you have been considered a failure. A typical example was the unfortunate incident that happened to Seun of nairaland when the site was hacked, that period he used in the recovery process and the extra resources could have been converted to maximize efficiency of the site. In summary, guide against mistakes which is the protection stage but if you cant because of the imperfect nature of human, try to detect as soon as possible, lastly respond and recover your loses Source; http://www.govloop.com/groups/productivity/forum/topic/4-stages-of-cybersecurity-protect-detect-respond-recover/ |

Just like Ronaldo and Messi in the leather game world, the two african stars davido and wizkid has always been the contenders for Nigerian/african best musician [young star], let's judge them base on their recent song which both feature international stars. "Show me the money remix" and "skelewu remix" which is a better joint? |
The Nigerian Airforce claimed on channel's tv last night that the information disseminated by the villager is not weighty enough to help them, and the same fighter jet has been found in that same lala village in gombi local government of the state. Okupe and co. Should read all of these before #bringbackgoodluck/badluck2015 |
By Clement Ekong (Yola) and Stella Omona (Abuja) Strong indications emerged in Adamawa State on Sunday that the Nigerian Air Force Alpha Fighter Jet that was reported missing on Friday had been discovered. Sources close to the Air Force Base in Yola confirmed that the crashed Jet had been located in Lala in Gombi Local Government Area of the state. Daily Independent gathered that the Alpha Jet (NAF 466) which participated in the counter- insurgency operation against the Boko Haram went off radar since Friday, but was said have been discovered through the help of some villagers in Lala of Gombi Local Government Area. However, efforts to contact the Air Force public relations officer proved abortive as his Personal Assistant (PA) Wing Commander Sunday told Daily Independent that he was not competent to talk to the press on the matter. A statement by the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) on Sunday night had said that all efforts to establish contact with plane had since proved abortive. “An Alpha Jet (NAF 466) belonging to the Nigerian Air Force is missing around Adamawa State. The aircraft, with two pilots on board, left Yola at about 10:45 a.m. on September 12, 2014 on a routine operational mission and was expected back by 12 noon. “Since then all efforts to establish contact with the aircraft have not yielded any positive result. Meanwhile, search and rescue effort is ongoing to establish contact with the crew,” DHQ stated. The DHQ had in its tweeter handle on Thursday disclosed that highly co-ordinated air and land operations were going on in the North East where the terrorists had overrun some towns and that efforts were on to recapture and rid the areas of the insurgents. “Highly co-ordinated Air and Land OPs are ongoing. The efforts are yielding impressive results in the overall move to rid area of terrorists,” the DHQ stated. Meanwhile, Adamawa State Acting Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has sympathised with the Nigeria Air Force over the loss of its Fighter Jet which was confirmed to have crashed in the state while on a mission to flush out insurgents in some border towns of the state. The Acting governor’s message was contained in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Solomon Kumangar. He, however, commended the resilience of the Nigerian Military and the gains they were making in the war against the insurgents. My brother here in lagos, once bought a particular designer shirt for #20,000, Unfortunately I saw the same design which goes for #3000 in Katangowa market,Lagos. With close comparism I couldn't spot any difference in it. Then I imagined if buying the so called "second hand" clothes a vestige of poverty or a conserving strategy. What is your view on tokunbo cloths? |

No fewer than 75 members of the outlawed Boko Haram insurgents have reportedly been killed by local hunters in Michika and Madagali local government areas of Adamawa state. The insurgents which had taken control of the two local government areas of the state and parts of Borno State were reported to have ran short of ammunitions, a situation which left them unprotected. A source in the area said that on discovering that the insurgents were dearth of ammunition, the local hunters pounced on them and started killing them. He said normalcy has begun to return in the affected areas as Nigerian Soldiers have recovered the local government areas from the insurgents. Advantage of that; childish and myopic comments will be eliminated, others pages aside page (1) will gain relevance. Implication of the experiment; visitation reduction! As a loyal nairalander we wish to view the result of the experiment! |
Nigerian Television Authority - also known as NTA - was inaugurated in 1977 and is the government-owned body in charge of television broadcasting in the country. NTA has been in existence even before I was born, low quality has been attributed to the station, the blur nature is minor compare to the sound quality. What factor has contributed to the stale or unmoving nature of "our government owned broadcasting station"?

Social entrepreneurship is the process of pursuing innovation solutions to social problems. Social entrepreneur combines the passion of a social mission with an image of business-like discipline, innovation and determinations. Nigeria has a lot of social problems which include mass murder, poverty, single parenting, teen pregnancy, terrorism, violence in schools, voting right restrictions among others, but setting Up ourselves as a social entrepreneur we need to Use the problem tree analysis to identify real problems and turn the problem to project then to passion and passion to profit. Household multinational companies like MTN, Dangote, Glo aren't waiting for big opportunities but they seized the opportunities, now that we have so many social problems around Us, ours is not to complain but to equip ourselves with HD high definition eyes to sight the loop holes and opportunities in most of the challenges. Despite the security crisis in the nation, the government give updates on foreigners investments in the country, we should ask why? But the countries or companies possess real knowledge on how to utilize the opportunities in challenges[they consider our problem a blessing]. Instead of complaining, we can sit back and think deep, "out of all the social problems roaring around which can I take advantage off" Nigeria Undoubtedly is a land of opportunities, and each challenge represents an opportunities. Our watchword should be "if you can see it, you can seize it". My write Up is subject to constructive criticism because I am not a good orator but just a normal nairalander who believes in sharing ideas. |

We strive hard so sustain the family, we work hard to please our girlfriends, most guys even steal or get money through internet defrauding all to satisfy and please women. 80% of the men's objective of making more money is to impress, but on sunday churches are most populated by the women who the men are striving to satisfy. Who is God to blame? |
I might be lagging behind in this social aspect "ice bucket challenge" which is currently a trend among top celebrities. Can someone please enlighten me on the sole purpose of the ice bucket challenge? Thank You! |
Prior to the outbreak of the deadly virus known as EBOLA, which was "imported" by a liberian man named sawyer. Despite the high death rate cause by the deadly disease, it can also be considered as an "eye-opener" because most Nigerians now believes our hands carried a lot of germs which has to be washed after activities such as touching money and any other things in the public places. It has also enlightened most blacks on the side effect of raw blood sucking which is endemic to some part of African countries. In populated and dangerous countries people cautions and minimizes unnecessary outing not necessarily because of diseases but in our case "Ebola" virus is already a roaring punishment for "needless" outing which is a habit in nigeria. Lastly the Nigerian doctors were on a strike when the deadly virus infringed the country but the disease becoming a threat to the society, the strike was called off, this is a good news to the poor masses and evidently showing strike actions is very detrimental to the growth of any nation. My opinion is subject to constructive criticism fellow nigerians. |
Obasanjo's pictures then scares me the most! |

I really want to know what's the faith of people who died in the era of BC which is usually considered as "Before christ" and lastly abortion is a common act within Nigeria, what is the faith of the children who are being aborted? When I mean faith it signifies "Heaven or Hell" I do enjoy reading the bible but I can't know it all, I believe people with broader knowledge in the theological department can help Us out. |
ANTICIPATE ANSWERS: Important conversations always need some amount of preparation. Before getting into the `talk’, introspect on what you really want and what kind of behavior will help you accomplish it. Another part of preparation is to anticipate and prepare for the other person’s reaction so that you have your answer ready. LISTEN HARD: Conversations between couples start going wrong when a) the couple starts taking the relationship for granted, b) partners do not invest time in listening and are intent on speaking their minds, and c) when one expects the other to understand more because he or she feels like a victim. However, the imbalance between what one wants to say and what one ends up saying can be rectified the moment a person becomes conscious of the tone of the conversation, and makes an effort to be patient and tolerant of the partner’s view, even if he/ she thinks it’s flawed DON’T BE DISMISSIVE: Research shows that meaningful conversations happen when people are able to engage in a healthy dialogue. That cannot happen if one is dismissive of the other’s point of view. Crucial conversations require focus on emotions and the ability to manage differences of opinion. While discussing a volatile issue, remember that the other person is as passionate about his or her point of view. If you want your views to be respected, ex tend the same courtesy. You can always politely agree to disagree. MANAGE YOUR EMOTIONS: Our emotions are not triggered by what we see or hear, rather by the way we process information in our minds – a reason why different people respond differently to similar situations. When overwhelmed with emotions during a conversation, one has three choices: To start a dialogue, to be silent or burst out with anger. If you are aware of this fact, you can opt for a solution-oriented dialogue, or choose to avoid the conversation, depending on the situation. But overreacting won’t solve anything. Ever. AVOID DEADLOCKS: The main conversation blocks are internal assumptions, possible lack of skills, inability to handle the actions or behavior of others and too much focus on what one wants. As humans, we are very perceptive about people and things around us. Also our brain is trained to work for self-defense in any challenging situation. When we face a conversation block, our body behaves in the same fashion as if it was facing a physical block. It’s important to be honest. Never indulge in unhealthy gossip, and remember that a conversation isn’t about winning or blaming – it’s about sharing and learning.
