RomanceWhen is it OK to Cheat on your Partner? by tcherokee(op): 11:49pm On Jul 25, 2005
Is it alright to cheat if your not in love

I was talking to one of my girlfriends (as in friend, girl, nothing more smiley ) Today, we started talking about relationships, then I asked her if she had ever cheated on her boyfriend and she said yes.

Curious I asked her why, (you know, to get a females point of view,) and she told me it was because she didn't love the guy she was cheating on her boyfriend with. As far as she was concerned, it was OK to cheat on her boyfriend so far she wasn't in love with the guy she was cheating on him with.

Personally I fail to see the logic behind this reasoning, but then again, maybe it is a girl thing? huh
TravelRe: Desperate to Travel to Europe by tcherokee(m): 11:26pm On Jul 25, 2005
There are some people that just believe their destiny isn't in this country. that they just have to leave at all cost and that when they get there (Europe, USA or Canada), that it will all be a bed of roses and that even if they are going to suffer, it can't compare to the suffering in Nigeria.

I have a friend that feels this way actually, but at least he finished university. throughout his service year his mind was just on how he would leave....and not through legitimate means o. his plan was South Africa to maybe Australia to South America then finally USA. To cut a long story short, during his service year, he got a girl pregnant and had to marry her. Till now he is still looking for a way to go with or without his family. (actually his lament now is that it's his family that's holding him back).

Can you beat that?

Romance"If she's in a relationship, leave her alone!" by tcherokee(op): 4:39pm On Jul 25, 2005
Why are people that are already in a relationship more attractive

I've noticed, as a guy that is, that if a girl is "toasting" is in a serious relationship, she becomes all the more attractive to you. The more serious the relationship, the more you'll want to have her. And I know this also applies to our female folks too. Can someone give me a good reason for this. I mean if she's in a relationship, leave her alone.

BusinessRe: Starting a Business (For The Entrepreneurs) by tcherokee(m): 10:41pm On Jul 23, 2005
I've been working for people for like 2 years, and frankly I just got sick of it. I decided to register my own company and work for myself instead smiley I must also admit, it is not as easy as I thought it would be, but if you are dedicated, you'll find that you strive to do more than you were doing when you were working for someone. My own little advice for those who want to start a company:

Stay where you are. Don't just say you want to start a company and quit your job to do it. You'll regret it.

Stay where you where, build up contacts and your portfolio there. It is easier to find people who want the services your offering when you are still working for someone. Besides you always have your salary to fall on when things get rough in a month. Stay at it until the jobs you are getting are too much for you to handle without quitting, then you can quit.

Don't mind me, I just seem to be drifting. Anyway those of you wanting to start your own business, good luck!

RomanceRe: Why Do You Want To Get Married? by tcherokee(m): 9:00pm On Jul 23, 2005
Ha, why do people want to get married?

Hmm, I figure that people want to get married for a few reasons.

One, family: Once a woman/man reaches a certain age, their family starts putting pressure. "won't you get married?" and so on and so on.

Secondly, every woman wants the security of marriage, of having a guy she can call her own. Someone that could do all the odd jobs at home and someone she can lay her troubles on at the end of the day or stuff like that.

Men like about the same thing I guess. Well almost.
RomanceRe: Why is it so hard to let go? by tcherokee(m): 1:31pm On Jul 22, 2005
there's really no excuse for a guy to put a girl through hell due to the fact that you know the girl loves you, unfortunately everybody exploits this knowledge over their partner, whether girl or guy especially if the person doesn't feel the same way. If you r tired then let the other person go, it may seem harsh at the moment but it is definately better than keeping the person in hell.
Unfortunately as regards ur friend. She'll come to the realization that the guy is no good for her by herself. some people just like learning things the hard way.
