RomanceRe: Why are girls so eager for money? by tcherokee(m): 4:18pm On Aug 04, 2005
Girls are independent alright but they are only independent when they have to be. for instance, When they don't have a guy or when they don't have a good guy or a crazy guy then the girl is forced to be independent whether she wants to or not. Give a girl a good, responsible guy that loves her and all of a sudden you'll wonder whether it was the same girl that was preaching independence a while ago. bottomline is that girls like the guy to handle everything as long as the guy is responsible.
RomanceRe: Do Long Distance Relationships Work? by tcherokee(m): 11:46pm On Aug 03, 2005
I have met a nice girl from Nigeria. I am in the states. I am trying to figure out how much it will cost to fly her here,
Jamesc Firstly I'm a Nigerian based in Nigeria and I'm saying "DON"T THINK ABOUT IT". Firstly a girl that is evasive about stuff is most likely not sincere. there's a popular thing that is going on in Nigeria right now and that is guys (sometimes posing to be girls complete with pictures of very fine girls) and girls go on the internet see if they can charm a guy based abroad to "fall in love with them" and then try and start milking them for what they are worth. some of the ways are....."I'll really love to come and see you but i don't have money to buy a ticket", "i wish i could call you but they just stole my phone and i don't have money for a new one", "i think I'll have to drop out of school cos i can't pay my school fees...for some reason" and stuff like that. so sorry to say especially as i am a Nigerian but Nigerians aren't the most trustworthy people especially when it comes to money issues.
My advice to you is take your time, study the girl if she seems impatient because you are not doing anything for her, she is probably a fraud. find out what u can about her and try and make sure money doesn't come into the issue and if she is insistent about something that has to do with you sending money to her, she is probably only about that (Money that is)
Besides if you send her the money, is it easy to get a visa to the USA........ or those she already have it.... i doubt it.
RomanceRe: Most Romantic Way to Ask, "Will You Marry Me?" by tcherokee(m): 5:24pm On Aug 03, 2005
here's an idea, wait for your anniversary, treat her to a lovely day, go siteseeing, go to the beach, take her to the movies(thank god for silverbird) just have fun during the day, then @ nite treat her to a candlelight dinner then just before u guys go to bed @ nite get down on Ur knees and just talking to her about stuff(to take her mind off the fact that u might be proposing) for like 10Min's then tell her u got her a small gift..make it seem like an afterthought. tell her to close her eyes and put a chain round her neck with the ring as a pendant. As she goes to check the "chain" in the mirror ask her will you marry me just as she catches a glimpse of the "pendant". Yep, that should do it.

RomanceRe: Having an Affair With My Cousin by tcherokee(m): 9:28am On Aug 03, 2005
Hey girl, by the time you start holding, laying and kissing, there is only one other thing that will be left. How long do you think it will take before a kiss goes deeper and you guys just lose control. You may end up regretting it at the end but common, the flesh is the flesh and there is only an amount of temptation it can take. Body no be wood o.
RomanceRe: Having an Affair With My Cousin by tcherokee(m): 5:09pm On Aug 02, 2005
taking culture out of it, it is still not good. scientists discourage it cos according to them it encourages the hereditary diseases to become more pronounced within that family. imagine a family that has had hereditary madness before, there is a higher probability that if cousins from that family marry.......well.........
God save their children shocked
RomanceRe: 3 Weeks to Our Wedding, I Want Her Junior Sister by tcherokee(m): 11:46am On Aug 02, 2005
Watz up with guys and younger sisters, is a kind of growing fashion. besides i feel the guy is just infatuated. probably the younger sister is finer and stuff like that considering that she just came back from....... Anyway the guy must have seen something in the elder sister to have dated her for four years and then decide to marry her. so what changed how well does he know this "younger sister" does he know the kind of personality the younger sister has, does he even know anything about the younger sister. as i said earlier, he is probably just infatuated and he better get his head straight before he loses on both ends.
RomanceRe: Having an Affair With My Cousin by tcherokee(m): 10:09am On Aug 02, 2005
hmm na wa for this your posts o.

Anyway, of course everything is wrong with it I know it is being done and I know guys that have slept with their cousins under the excuse that it was their distant, distant cousin. But come on, give me a break, that's incest as far as I am concerned.

Why will you want to put yourself in a position in which anything can happen? That's just crazy. Of course, it is easy to get a crush on one of your relatives but to let it develop past that stage to when you start laying with him, kissing him, how long do you think it will take to start [sleeping with] him?

Flee from temptation; flee!
RomanceRe: My Sister's Boyfriend is Asking Me Out by tcherokee(m): 9:39pm On Aug 01, 2005
legry has a point in a way, the guy could actually really be in love with the younger sister. at least I've heard stories like that, as in the guy first started dating the younger sister in this instance, and eventually fell in love with the elder sister and they eventually got married. till now they are still leaving happily. the younger sister was hurt at the time but she found a better guy for her and got over it(i guess). But the fact is that this sort of happy ending happens once in a blue moon and most of the time the guys are just looking to "score points|'. Besides there is this superstition that goes around that if a guy "intimately" dates two sisters, that it kind of guarantees Long Life (it is a Yoruba supersition, so i heard). so u see, the probability the guy is playing is higher.
RomanceRe: To Reject A Suitor Without Hurting Him by tcherokee(m): 1:07pm On Aug 01, 2005
hot angel have u heard the theory that when a girl says no she really means yes. if this guy has made up his mind to date her by all costs, all what u've said above won't work. There are a lot of guys |(myself not included smiley ) who don't feel the public disgrace is anything. they even feel it will earn them the support of the populace that he is "for real" and that u should give him a chance and lets admit the truth if a guy is dat persistent after some time u may find urself building up an admiration for his tenancy(and that can lead to anything, even a "trial" relationship).
Me thinks she will be better off avoiding the guy and when she runs into him, be standoffish and probably answer in monosyllabules or just ignore him (that usually hurts). inviting to dinner or anything like that, it will give him "ideas".
Nairaland GeneralRe: Smoking, Drinking, or Womanizing? by tcherokee(m): 12:08am On Aug 01, 2005
i never smoke i rarely drink i......... refuse to answer the question on the basis that my answer will incriminate me wink
RomanceRe: To Reject A Suitor Without Hurting Him by tcherokee(m): 8:25pm On Jul 31, 2005
I've been in that position before, the girl i was "toasting" had a boyfriend that she was going out with, but the guy was in kogi and we were both in abeokuta. Then she sat me down explained her position to me, that she didn't want to cheat on her guy or break his heart because so far he hadn't done anything wrong. But when a guy really wants something he will do almost anything to get that thing I'm afraid embarassed. asked her out for over a year before she finally agreed to go out with me wink (breaking up with her guy in the process).
Anyway what i'm trying to say is that if you sit him down to discuss it, you won't break his heart but it is likely he won't relent in his efforts especially if he feels he is in love with you or he feels he has to have you but if you are blunt and just tell him that you don't want him, u may break his heart but at least he may not disturb u anymore.
RomanceRe: My Sister's Boyfriend is Asking Me Out by tcherokee(m): 8:00pm On Jul 30, 2005
l have heard you all thanks for your replies. but l still need more answers because l'm really confused, many people said l should leave the guy, but this guy said he will die if l leave him. and he mean it.
Talk true, u too have an interest in the guy. are u also attracted to him? As far as i know sha no guy ever died from rejection or a broken heart, so if that is your reason. then you have no reason to be confused. but if u think u are also in luv with him.... that's a different matter entirely.

So tell us, do you also have feelings for the guy?
RomanceRe: My Sister's Boyfriend is Asking Me Out by tcherokee(m): 1:27pm On Jul 30, 2005
Really the right thing to do is to tell the boy to leave you, firstly cos Ur sister may feel betrayed....."may".. no will feel betrayed if her boyfriend leaves her for you, but then again i think you must feel something for the guy otherwise i do not feel this should be an issue. if you feel something for the guy and maybe you think he is the one....., what can i say. Go for it girl, afterall u r not going to marry Ur sister. then again u may not marry the boy in question, Hmm. Well the choice is really up to you but know this if you agree to go out with him and he eventually dumps you for someone else. you may have lost a good relationship with your sister for nothing.....
