Kylekent59: Do you know the disadvantages of all these which you are seeking for? Many will lose their jobs. Even these bet companies pay tax which is used to fund the economy.
Other countries have bet companies and they are doing fine, so why Nigeria?
My sister, let me tell you, it is the person playing the bet should be blamed.
Bet9ja warns that bettors should use their spare money and not their salary. So what are you complaining of again? Let us always reason right and with understanding. My brother, this thing is a paradox. It is an undisguised way of defrauding unsuspecting citizens. |

Our safety gears such as facemasks should be consciously used as a pre meditated measure, and not just because we hope to use it to beat security check ups. Let us all do our part and covid 19 will be a thing of the past |

netpro: PDP has lost every fight. National Assembly is their new target now.
Look, the Arms of Government don't necessarily have to be at war in order to function.
We ought to commend and appreciate the cordial relationship within the various Arms of Government. No one is advocating war. checks and balances doesn't mean war. If the legislative arm of government is established simply to say "yes sir" to every move of the executive, then there would be no need for its establishment. What we want is a national assembly which truly have the interest if their immediate constituencies at heart. |

festacman: Disobeying court ruling is, no doubt, out of order in a democracy but no legitimate government would tolerate any kind of attempt to uproot it suddenly through Revolution. Every government is wary of Revolution because once it starts, nobody can predict its end result. Even a 'President' Yele Sowore if he had won the last presidential election would not have dealt TAMELY with anybody challenging the existence of his government. Some people who encountered him as a leader of Sahara Reporters Media Organization will attest to his strong character.
The reality is that Revolution is intrinsically undemocratic. It is basically a MOB ACTION against a legitimate government. It recognizes neither the Judiciary nor the Legislature in its bid to forcibly remove the Executive. It dangerously puts MOBOCRACY or ochlocracy above democracy. This is why in developed countries protest marches, sit-ins, and other forms of civil disobedience are more fashionable.
Experience has shown that any person or group of persons who are attempting to remove an established order or a government must first understand the psychology, clout and antecedents of people behind it vis-a-vis how much personal sacrifices to make or discomforts to take if the adventure goes awry. This will help in preparing for the worst while hoping for the best. I had expected Yele Sowore to have done this being an intelligent and analytical fellow.
Regardless, I join other Nigerians in advocating for his release on bail as ruled by court. You have been enslaved and you relish in your slavery, and a slave you will remain forever. |

APC should focus on fulfilling its numerous promises, like ensuring a favourable exchange rate, ensure food availability, youth employment and constant power supply. You see, PDP is still making mouth today because APC as an alternative is a monumental failure. |

The Federal Government has declared Monday as Public Holiday to mark the 2019 Eid-ul-Mawlud in commemoration of the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad. Mr Mohammed Manga, Director Press and Public Relations of the Ministry of Interior, announced this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja. He said the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, congratulated the Muslim faithful on the occasion and enjoined them to live within the virtues and teachings of the Prophet. He said imbibing the Prophet’s virtues of love, courage and perseverance would guarantee peace and security in the country. Aregbesola expressed confidence that the challenges confronting Nigeria at the moment would soon be over; and therefore called on Nigerians to remain focused and determined. He gave the assurance that with the immense potentials the country is endowed with; coupled with its human and natural resources, Nigeria will sooner than later join the league of developed nations. “With love, commitment, self-sacrifice, patience and patriotism, we will certainly, build a greater Nigeria,” Aregbesola said.
