samuelson06: Automatically you say? Be calming down pls. You don't have any idea about the politics in NGO recruitment. Just say you may be considered but not automatically except the position is going to be in the North. But if in a place like Akwa Ibom, Cross River or even South East with little to less insecurity, forget it. It's gonna be big politics. Don't get me wrong. Despite the politics affiliated with getting an offer with NGO, the Op managed to get one which is pegged at 6months duration. If you're well familiar with how NGO works, you'll agree with me that after 6months of that engagement, the Op will, for the avoidance of doubt be saturated with experience and projects never stops. SFH sent advertorial virtually every week majorly on experienced hire. The sole decision lies with the Op and I pray he take the right decision. |

Myer: How can you be so confident in misleading others?
What if they don't consider him automatically?
While it's important for OP to take advantage of opportunities, you should speak only of what you know of.
Let him know the risks involved and make his decision accordingly.
If he ends up losing both jobs after the 6 months will you be there to assist him before he gets back on his feet? Clearly no. You have your own issues you're dealing with.
That said, OP, I believe school jobs are relatively easier to get so taking the job of the SFH coy is reasonable but don't expect to be automatically retained after the 6 months.
Give your best but leave your options open. Keep applying for other jobs before the 6 months window. There is no misleading info. here. I was only trying to share what I know about them vis-à-vis having secured an offer to work with them in Kano. Getting a job with SFH is quite competitive and takes a lot of effort. Location is also a key determinant here. The OP was lucky enough to get a contract placement with them and that literally shows he's good. Like any other NGO jobs, SFH place key emphasis on experience and I believe that 6month duration will expose the OP to an experience which might be instrumental in getting even a permanent job with them. The final decision lies with the Op and hence no intent of misleading! Thank you! |

ViktorOG: I'm an accountant but with your question, you sounds really different. You need to study your FM more. Why will you ever think of quiting a permanent role for a (6) contract role? You should be looking for another permanent role elsewhere and not considering quiting to take up a 6month job. Respectfully bro, I thought its all about experience and growth. SFH will offer him/her that. School teacher on the hand will not. Anyways, he should make his decision |

Nisot7: Are you sure? Thanks anyways Absolutely bro. I know what I'm saying. To elucidate more, SFH job is all about experience. I am sure within that 6month duration, you must have garner sufficient experience which will facilitate you getting another job with them. That's how it works |

Go for SFH job. Don't worry about the 6 month contractual duration. Before your contract ends, they'll advertise similar position and you'll be considered automatically |

Education › Re: Bayero University Kano Cancels 2019-2020 Academic Sesssion by teadrake(m): 12:23am On Jan 05, 2021 |
JayKiz: https://daybreak.ng
The Senate of Bayero University Kano (BUK) on Monday January 4, approved the cancelation of 2019-2020 sessions for all Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in the institution.
The announcement was conveyed in a memo signed by the university registrar Fatima Binta-Mohammed, and released barely two weeks after the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) suspended its nine-month old strike across public universities of the country.
Reports had it that before ASUU embarked on a strike in March 2020, BUK had already completed its mid-semester break for first semester of 2019/2020 academic session for undergraduates, while the postgraduate students had just resumed for the session.

Gisbourne44: Hello guys
I’m not here to scam anybody
But while we wait
For those going for the naval interview
And for those expecting the army to shortlist them
If you know you have hepatitis B
I’m not saying what’s working for me will work for you
But you can give it a try
I attended 3 NDA interviews in the past 61rc,64rc and 65rc
I successfully completed 61rc
64rc I was dropped for flat feet
65rc I was dropped for hepatitis B
I didn’t treat
I just ignored
I went for ssc course 46 and was dropped again for hepatitis B
Last year I didn’t apply
But this year I found myself working with one general who is an engineer officer
So after showing he is ready to help me
I decided to apply for dssc this year
I have it in mind that if I get shortlisted for the interview
That I would tell him I have hepatitis B If he wants me to proceed with the interview
Fine
And if it’s something he can’t cos most officers don’t like to involve themselves with medical related issues
Then fine I continue as a civilian
So I was passing my junction one day and I heard these guys with public address system saying they have the cure for it
So I patronized them and took what they gave me for 10 days which is the prescribed dose they said
After taking it for ten days (1 bottle costs just 100 naira)
I went for test (the same lab I usually run the test)
So when I got there, she asked me if I was taking something
I asked why
She said the thing is reducing
I now told her
She said the thing is working o however still positive
That I should continue
I took it for another 7 days
And went back for test
This time around the test came out positive but she couldn’t see it with her eyes (she had to use a magnifier)
She told me that if it’s someone who doesn’t know I have it
The person would say I’m negative
Since then I haven’t taken it cos I’m on one antibiotics drugs
So I decided to try what she said by going to other clinics to check
And the result for my test came out negative
Since what I’m preparing for has to do with the military
I now decided to go to mambilla barracks Abuja to do the test in military hospital
I told them to do it twice
They did it and it came back negative
It’s however still positive with a magnifier
But the normal eyes will see it as negative
So as soon as my antibiotic dose is completed
I will go back to taking my herbal mixture which costs 100 naira per bottle
The name of this herbal mixture is sawaba herbal
If you stay in Abuja you would heAr this a lot
The mixture however smells badly
Like shit
But for result
I think you guys should try it Just 100 naira per bottle
Try it and see if it will work for you
I know you guys would want proof of the negative result I got I would post it in the next post
Have a nice day guys
And for this sake
I don’t even want the result to come out anytime soon so those of us with it can buy time to get treated
I also eat sugar cane too
Heard it’s good for it as well
I decided to add sugar cane cos it’s my normal routine Check your DM please |
