Yes it is possible. I don't think you will ever get a totally honest government (not just in Naija but anywhere) but you may well improve considerably and get something close to it.
it is possble to have clean governance. It can only happen the day us citizens begin to reject corruption as a norm in our dear counttry

All true. I have never met an honest politician (perhaps they do exist but then perhaps so does Santa Claus).

Still they need to learn the lesson that the people are their masters NOT the other way about! If this lot do not perform properly then they must be booted out. Also cut down the 'gravy train' and reduce the extortionate salaries and excessive allowances they draw. If not reduce them then at least freeze any raises for years until they come into line with other countries.
I see our politics growing to that stage within the next 3 years. Once politicians are aware that a public outcry e.g bring back our girls campaign or a more intense one like the stella Oduah and Etteh scandals" can end their career, they will be cautious not to abuse the trust the people have entrusted them with.

its a risky game....

And this poses a question! Which of these are reformed and want to work honestly for the people who elected them and which are merely 'rats off a sinking ship'?
well again, I hate to believe a "politician" is a changed and reformed man. lets be real, If I was in their shoes I will do same... but what alot of Nigerian politicians fail to do "REPRESENT THE PEOPLE" Rather because of greed, they neglect the reasons they were voted into power and begin their own agenda. well, until its my turn, I keep my criticisms to myself. the best I can do now is to pray for them, like the bible commanded us to.

she is 300% from the marine kingdom... so your best bet now is to align yourself with a bible believing church, with strong prayer team.. then break off the relationship... dont let her know where you live... move away from her.... and when she strikes spiritually, make sure you maintain your prayer life, that way you are sheilded in Christ...

and also try and get yourself BAPTISED in the Holy spirit, so you can battle in the spirit.
Christianity EtcRe: Sex Destroyed Me; Took Away My Luck. I Need Help by Tearg1: 2:12am On Apr 11, 2015
hey bro let me share my story with you, hopefully you will follow thesame steps and receive your deliverance.

I met this Ogbanje girl here in London at a train station, so we exchanged pins, each time I noticed she is always negative and says things that are sad. but I never clocked who she was spiritually,... one day I went to visit her and we started having sex. play play, it turned into a relationship... I start noticing that all the time I spent with her, my brain went dead, I couldnt think, no ideas, no creativity, I felt like the fountain of my life has disappeared. Honestly I never knew that she was the cause, because she had a spiritual husband, and she also had a serpent spirit.

My guy this girl is from east Africa. Everything I did went wrong. I couldnt focus on anything,... each time I try to break up the relationship she will never want to let go. until one day I decided to visit my sister, when I got to her house, I felt like everything was ok, but the moment I return back to the house I shared with the ogbanje girl, the whole negativity kicks in.

Thats when I decided to make a huge change. I decided to start drawing closer to God, remained prayerful with my anointing oil... I knew I had to run away for my dear life..... So one day before she got back I packed my suitcase and ran away from the house...

she caught me on the way out so it resulted in a huge argument... but I never let that deter me... I knew I needed God at this point, because she threatened to harm me spiritually if I break up the relationship. I started attending prayer meetings, and lucky for me, my Bishop was doing a 7 days fasting in church, so he asked me to join him, which I did.... in one of the night services, God interveined and set me free from her bondage spiritually... I saw that she had already transfered some of her spirits to me... thats the reason for disappointments etc.

I had to draw closer to God... became born again, got baptised, and thats when every evil done against me came out of my body/spirit. I became free.... 2 months later I met my fiance in church and we got engaged.

bro... there were constant spiritual attacks on me and my fiancee... but once you have Jesus you will overcome...

Try and visit TB Joshua's church... he is a true prophet... you will be able to receive deliverance from there... and once you get your deliverance, make sure you look for a bible believing church... size doesnt matter, God will direct you to one if you pray about it....

GET BAPTISED....!!!! and believe me.... as God delivered me, he too will deliver you and restore all that was stolen from you spiritually......

May the grace of the Lord abide with you..... In Jesus Name... Amen... !!!!
PoliticsIs Oba Akiolu really sincere with his speech??? by Tearg1(op): 7:52pm On Apr 07, 2015
Few months ago there were alot of rantings going on in Nairaland after outgoing lagos state Gov. Raji Fashola deported a large numbers of Ibos from lagos for various reasons which led to a public outcry from various sections of the country.

Lets state the facts here;

Is it written anywhere in our constitution that such an act is legal and fully permitted by law?? the answer is NO. so we now ask ourselves, what was Fashola's real motive? the answer to that question varies, based on how you look at the situation.

Some of us are busy condemning the Oba's remarks, which to me constituted to a "Racist" and "Unfair" view from such a highly "esteemed" individual, who not only degraded his office by dragging himself into partisian politics, rather he has lost the respect accorded to him by rights of virtue. Have we fully thought of the implications of this incitementhuh??

Back to his speech, Mr Akiolu felt he owes his loyalty to Jagaban, however citing OBJ's treatment of Lagos state during his regime, his hatred for the PDP brewed from that era. I believe that he is entitled to his opinions like any other person, but when expressed in such a crude manner, in public, it not only constitute to nuisance, ethnic hatred, rather its no different from Asari's threat to the North for not voting GEJ.

However lets not ignore the fact that the Oba may be indirectly trying to tip the scale in favour of JK, knowing fully well, that if you strike the herd, the sheep will scatter.

The so called Oba is a Thug and this was how Hitler started slaying Jews... It all started with a hate speech..,I strongly believe he does not deserve to be regarded as "royalty" any longer. I firmly believe he owes an apology to every citizen of Lagos state regardless of their ethnicity. In a civilized country, he would loose his title and be dethroned immediately for inciting ethnic Hatred.

Whoever wins the Lagos race must be voted in on merits and not out of fear of persecution by someone who is in a position of power..
PoliticsRe: I Need Ur Advise! I Want To Join Politics by Tearg1: 11:28pm On Apr 04, 2015
I am based in the UK, and I was thinking of doing thesame. here is my advice..

first, you have to create your own path into the political arena... and don't start off being loyal to all sorts of humans, because it affects your credibility. Rather, find a worthy cause in the community and begin to rally for it. it must be something that either empowers the society, or fixes it, for instance, Rape has become rife in our community, if you begin to campaign against it and campaign for women that will touch all minds and souls.

secondly, volunteering for the party itself is a good start... APC for instance will be surely a good platform to start on. and before you know it, you can do a project that will make the governor look Good, thats when your name will begin to ring bells...

study chris Ngige for instance, the way he came into politics was really treacherous, however he had to ensure that the projects he executed we that which benefits the community and thats how he built his name.

While your view is acknowledged, I think you missed a whole lo of things or you are been economical with the truth. They were not the only one that prayed (except if you did not pray though), the whole Nigerians prayed. And God did not answer the prayers because the men you mentioned prayed but because the people prayed, because He loves the nation and because He is faithful. We should stop giving glory to men as God alone deserves the glory and if you must worship your pastor do it in your house or your church and stop dragging the public to it.
our spiritual leaders must always be acknowledged no matter what... God hears the cry of every true believer. Its a collective victory and look how our great nation averted bloodshed...GEJ could have decided to deploy the most technical rigging facility, he could have hired an umpire worse than Maurice Iwu, but it was the fear of God that made him do what is just even at the expense of loosing the election.

Ugandans are praying for what we just had. Their president has been in power for almost 30 years, and they have never had no other government. This election will change the perception of Nigeria throughout the world..... and this victory only came from God almighty.

Looking at how our elections turned out to be, we have every right to thank God almighty for averting bloodshed and other evil devices planned by evil politicians who were hell bent on rigging this election. Fair enough Jonathan did not win his Re-election bid, but what we are most grateful for is his level of understanding to hand over power to the true winner.

In my opinion I believe Jonathan knew quite well from the onset that he may not return, however what he did was to set up a credible Inec... There are politicians in this country, if were to be in his shoes, they will never hand over, rather he would handpick an umpire like Maurice Iwu who would screw the election results up in their favour.

this election has shown that every leader wants to enjoy his loot in peace rather than spend time in the Hague or our very own Kiri-Kiri.

Lets not forget to praise the effort of those who died protecting their mandates, and the innocent police officers killed, we are advancing as a nation.. APC has now raised the bar of our political landscape...

Although the tape does not specify any rigging plots or whatsoever, but in a court of law, it can be admitted as a "contributory" exhibit to the rigging allegation. Though in subsequent interviews, especially the one Fayemi had with channels TV, he made mention that there are some evidences that the electoral process was tampered with, but never mentioned anything specifcally.

IF Fayose's history of political malpractice is taken into consideration, combined with his disregard for the rule of law, these areas could unearth the cankerworms which has been hidden from the public.

Therefore, I believe Fayose has cases to answer in regards to the following;

1) His eligibility to contest the Ekiti election, given that he was previously impeached for corruption
2) He currently has criminal cases pending in the Nigerian Court of Law
3) His alleged role in the recorded conversation.
4) The conduct of the election process,

I still firmly believe there are more to APC's loss in Ekiti, and Edo state than we know.....

This must be firmly investigated for us to have total democracy and fairness in our electoral system.

I still believe that the election in Ekiti may not be free and fair as we were made to believe... Every finger points to Fayose that he may have some how tampered with the electoral process, and until a full investigation is ordered, we may never unearth some of the myths of how an ex-impeached governor came back to run the affairs of the state he was impeached from.

My stand is, there must be some form of political integrity here. With his history of violence and corruption, he is not the type of leader a state would vote for.

In a Sane country, people like Orubebe will be instantly arrested for disturbing the peace, inciting religious and ethnic hatred all in the name of gaining political goodwill from his chess master. Deep within their soul, even GEJ knows that the election did not favour him, why are all these political miscreants trying to build up sentiments of hatred for the North. PoliticsIf Jihadi John Had Beheaded A Nigerian, Would The World React Same Way??? by Tearg1(op):
I have every reason to ask myself who is truly behind all the terrorism going on globally, even in our own country Nigeria. Each time boko haram burns down a village, murder our citizens and commit other worse atrocities, the manner which the news is portrayed internationally, is like a young man just fell into river thames and was rescued. A narrow minded gossip.

They act like its just another murder.. I was in woolwich the same day those young british guys beheaded a soldier, it was like a war zone. Everyone spoke to condemn that atrocity because of the gruesome way it was portrayed in the news. Lets assume that they condemn every terrorist act in a similar fashion, the whole world would have joined hands to defeat boko haram.

I have every reason to believe that there are foreigners who are benefitting from the misery of our dear country. If Jihadi John had executed a Nigerian, would they give it such an attention?? but because he murdered a white man, they want everyone's attention.

Well what Jihadi John did was bad, but same thing happens here in Nigeria, its happening in Iraq, and its also happening in Libya and Syria. The media coverage in the UK and America is like childsplay, they only write about it as though its another news to fill the pages of the newspapers.

its time we wise up, until we unite to build our country and stop looking for outside help, we may never be bold enough to defend even our own territories.
PoliticsWhy Are They Targeting Our Freedom Of Press??? by Tearg1(op): 12:13am On Mar 17, 2015
When a propaganda hits the newspaper, we are quick to voice our hatred for GEJ, but lets be straight for now. Tinubu and his Cohorts are behind the fire incidents on all the media houses. We can ask ourselves, what is the rationale behind it, its simple;
APC solely relies on propaganda, and through the media houses, GEJ has been able to counter this dynamic. The fire incidents are being used to throw dust in our eyes. APC is a party full of desperate politicians. Never in our history has there been such barbaric attack on media houses.

This trend seems to replicate a similar trend adopted by boko haram in 2011. They can blow up media houses but they can never blow up the truth. I pray that they dnt succeed in attacking Winners Chapel's TV station.

We must condemn this act in one voice. Burning down TV stations is an attack on our freedom of press, and if this is what they are doing now, which means alot of journalist will be sentenced to lengthy jail terms, or even killed, if APC is voted into power.
